  1. not quite optimax but this is what i witnessed last week
  2. yeeha i've just found the new high score, 112.9p per litre, just off Kensington High Street at some crappy little garage
  3. that's what they said about £1 per litre
  4. still 99.9p per litre on Kensington high street - i thought this would have had the high score for the country!
  5. does Tony potter around in an economicable run-about or on the public transport? no. Jaguars, Mercedes & the likes are the transport of choice for our democrats i read something in the Sunday papers yesterday that said Tony Blair was actually pressing the Transport minister for a reduction in fuel duty but that he wasn't having any of it since it has been frozen since 2003 anyway. IIRC the current duty amount is 47.1p per litre on Unleaded and 50.19p per litre on Super Unleaded i'm in London all this week, unfortunately without Supra, but won't be able to get down for the letter handover. Good idea though & hope it goes well.
  6. lmao not sure how long it would take for them to hunt you down if you kept doing that though!
  7. here's my attempt at doing something about it for now http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=46362
  8. after today's news on the prices & seeing how much it is costing around the country, i wanted to try and make some effort towards doing something about getting our voices heard and attempting to get a result. Therefore, i had a look on the web & found that there is a government site where you can send a message to Tony Blair. The site says: Send a message to the Prime Minister. All the messages are read and each month the Prime Minister receives a report on the issues raised, together with a representative sample of individual e-mails. I think this would be a start if we got as many people as we could to do the same, in order to get this on his 'monthly report'. Here is what i sent: Dear Sir, How can you justify the amount of tax applied to our petrol prices? We pay fuel duty, followed by VAT on top of the total price. In order to pay for £1 of fuel i have to earn approx £1.27 because i also get taxed on my earnings. Today i felt i had to write this letter to yourself since we have finally hit the £1 per litre for fuel and i have heard that £1.09 is being charged in some areas of the UK. Disgusting. I know that you cannot control the amount charged for fuel but duty of approx 80% is seen to be a joke by the people of this country. I will be looking for any way possible to make my voice heard on this until something is done to return the price of fuel to a more respectable figure, whilst i continue to contemplate why i would want to continue to live in a country that does this to their own people, yet treats immigrants & criminals with more rights, respect & comfort. yours sincerely, Wesley the link to the site is http://www.number-10.gov.uk/output/Page821.asp
  9. i also took a photo of the pump this morning when i saw the 99.9p on it - couldn't believe it - the young lad in the Shell garage also quoted the American situation was the cause of the sudden price rise which was the second in 2 days - there was also one last month! everyone was saying how when it gets to £1 that will be it and there'll be uproar - well here it is... now what.... i will be investigating where the nearest Sainsburys is for there 99RON and no longer using Optimax, since there's none of the 99RON Tesco up North yet if someone can come up with an effective method of getting our voices heard i'm up for it is it me or are these rises only appearing to be drastic on the high octane fuel for now?
  10. ah - i hadn't picked up on the circled one being different to the one in their diagrams thanks for taking the time to make it so clear for me
  11. in here somewhere? they say to use a t-piece sorry if i i'm being stupid, but whereabouts?
  12. assuming you mean these instructions http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/boostguage/bg.htm John, what exactly is dangerous about them? This is how i did mine
  13. it's threads like this that make me want to go BPU ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm trying to be sensible and wait till i've saved for this mod but you guys make it real hard not to do it sooner! i had the same prob Hadyn when i had mine on the rollers - they claimed i hit 334BHP with an Apexi induction kit & uprated exhaust but they also claimed 430lb/ft of torque as No.2 came on song, which apparently is quite unrealistical i guess what i'm saying is your score is going to vary each place you go so unless you're going to get stuff setup such as fuelling etc it's probably just going to annoy you! i've recently got one of those G Tech Pro meters that claim to accurately measure your BHP, 0-60, 60-0, Gs, 1/4 mile times etc, so then i've got something that can hopefully give me consistent scores whenever i want & i can compare my times etc after each modification or in different conditions etc

    Raveology ?

it doesn't have to be jsut memories i will be attending this upstanding event next month http://www.tidy.com/magna where there will be many old faces from that era, such as DJ Sy & Stu Allan (Key103) last year there was Slipmatt (the S from SL2) and on New Years Eve i witnessed the good ol' Ratpack whom i loved as a young 'un! Absolutely fantastic who's up for some swapsies on their old skool mp3/cd collections then? i've always been looking for a track i had long ago with some scratching in it & lyrics saying "Bad boy......... Come again...." - anyone got that one? and the Prodigy are on tour at the mo if anyone's interested, only £25 a ticket
  17. could have been mate, didn't spot whether it had TRD in the rear window too
  18. nice one Egon everything running ok with it now? any mods done or planned?
  19. in the preview you will have some 'tags' which are where it has angle brackets around some text, e.g. [ url ] [ /url ] [ url ] is the start tag & [ /url ] is the end tag in the example of a link/url, the text that sits between the tags is the text that appears on the web page, the bit after the equals sign is the actual link example (ignore the spaces): [ URL=http://test.com ] here [ /URL ] this would give an actual link of 'http://test.com' but text on the page would be 'here' hth Wes
  20. definitely worth the money - if it had been available 6 months ago when i bought mine i would have jumped at this at around £12k with all that on it already! perhaps a little side note next to the mods with their approximate cost would allow people to appreciate their value a little more? especially with an audience like ebay who may not be as likely to know what half of them do or improve over standard?
  21. here's my first entry - got another one in mind but not sure if i'll be able to get the picture to match the idea in mind
  22. common as muck these bloody supras black one on Clifton Drive, think it was Egon? Supe's looking good, flashed your lights & gave a wave then saw a Silver one coming towards St Annes near Squires Gate Lane, big TRD sticker across the top of the windscreen & a chap who looked a little shy at me pointing you out furiously to the wife!! see you around...
  23. you'd have seen that this is how Dale gets his injuries....
  24. Gaz, if you hadn't had your head up Cav's arse....
  25. oooh they look very nice - is the middle bit alcantra too? what was the cost & did they offer any logo embroidery on them or alternative colours etc?
