1. PC Pro magazine did a review on internet security packages, I think the the AVG one topped the free ones.
2. Good morning... hang on.... Happy Birthday to one of this sites most famous (infamous?) member.
3. I'm using 64bit on my Laptop and I wouldn't move back to XP now.. Don't think that 32bit v 64bit on a home setup really gives you anything, apart from being able to access more then 3gb of Ram.
4. Do you run a seperate RAID controller or one built into the MB? I had a RAID setup running from a MB controller, when the MB died that was it. No more Raid setup. Even another MB with Raid onboard would not read the disks. Fair enough it was striped and not mirrored, yes I know.. , but I now have 2x200GB SATA drives in a mirrored setup, but would not be 100% sure that if they were swapped to another MB that they would work.
5. That was slightly amusing, but I'm waiting to see if they ever found the second wife.. I bet it wasn't funny for her to be stuck in the Airport.. Oh won't anyone think of the Children?
6. 20k for a short block. Doesn't say he's selling the heads etc with the unit, just that he has them.. I'd rather spend the money on donuts.
7. I think that was the whole point behind his rant..
8. I was in the rather grubby Red UK Spec who went past you.
9. lol, nice.. Still they managed to get the best colour on there.
10. All, I am currently re-writing a perl script that extracts some Netbackup Data to load into a DB. I now want to add the host name to the output file, but not sure the best way to do it. Below is the current row and the variable that I added, the bold text, but awk doesn't know about it, so never prints it. What's the best way to do this? system( "/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpdbjobs -report -gdm | awk -F\",\" \'{OFS=\",\" ; print \$host_name,\$16,\$2,\$3,\$4 ,\$9,\$5}\' > $job_full_output_location" ) ;
