  1. Well, I've just installed Applanet and it's pretty good if you want to try out 'evaluation' applications on your phone. It's not always up, but it is now and it will even update all your currently installed 'evaluation' applications.. Nice. Link to their site is http://www.applanet.net/applanet/ Have fun. Paul.
  2. Yep, have to have something for google to work on.. Read the link I set up earlier.. Great American Car Importer
  3. Your example of a google search might not be what people would search for when trying to find your site, using 'American Car imports' shows that you are at number two which isn't so shabby.
  4. Deffo give the link I posted above, with a very bad example of a link I now know, for what should be happening within your site. If he's doing SEO without access to your site, or providing detailed feed back on the changes you need to make I'd get my money back...
  5. PC Pro did a very good article on this either this month or last month. They normally have these available via their website, I'll have to check when I get home for the article name. I did find this from a google search, might be worth habing a look. It's a bit of a black art, but it was explained quite well in the article.
  6. Yep, you would need the source code. The asp.net site is compiled and there is no easy way to decompile it. There may be code that does it, but it will look nothing like the original and might not be editable anyway.
  7. Do you have the source code, you could step through the code in debug mode to check. This Value (400) will be selected from the DB and the Code Behind.. The .vb (I assume as you mentioned VB Scripts, .CS for C-Sharp code) will be where the query is run and the value of the Label updated. What is the issue? Is the Value wrong or is the suffix (Koz) wrong? Also in your case what is Koz? Paul.
  8. Happy Birthday mate. My phone couldn't see a thread already started, so I'd thought I'd throw one in. I know its not a spoiler, but tapatalk on my phone will not let me start a thread without a prefix and this seemed better then joke or rant.
  9. I'm opening the tin of tuna now.
  10. Happy Birthday surprising IT boffin.
  11. The old laptop might be an idea, want something as cheap as chips though. Ps I raised this a rant as tapatalk wouldn't let me raise it without a prefix.
  12. Currently I have an old HP 530 sff workstation acting as my download server/file server. This isn't the most efficient pc to keep running 24*7, so I was wondering what people would suggest for a replacement. It doesn't have to be mega powerful, I only have 1.5gb at the mo running server 2003. I would quite happily swap to a Linux build, just need to run a bittorrent client, currently uTorrent, and I guess some sort of samba share too. I have some other bits, but pretty sure I can get replacements for them (openssh and a web server). Currently it seems to be using 1 to 2 p an hour to run. Cheers Paul Sent from my HTC Desire
  13. That looks pretty good.. How much did you get it for? I'd still be too scared to attach anything expensive to the outside of my car, just in case it's not there when you get back..
  14. Dave giving IT advise, well who would have believed it...
  15. I love your projects Dean...
  16. Maybe it was a Post Ethnic Diverse Operative? Sent from my HTC Desire
  17. Try 7dayshop.com for your leads, I've been using them for years and they sell decent stuff at a good price. Sorry that sounded like I work for them, I don't but they are good.
  18. I thought the same when it happened to me, all fans spinning up and leds lit on the mb. Ordered new mb, fitted it and it did the same. One new mb later and it all burst into life. Both mbs work, so I have a spare now... Ho hum!
  19. I would say that this is probably the PSU playing up.
  20. Try this. Bring up Google maps Choose directions from Japan to China. Look at direction 43. :-)
