  1. Yup - Try Spark plugs first. Denso Iridium IK24 or similar
  2. I'm definitely interested. Nic, does it include the complete fitting/shim kit too? 1, SupRo
  3. Saw a red Supra pull out of the car park. L reg, graphics....It was then followed and chased by a TVR Cerbera down the Dual carriageway to the M1! Don't think it beat the supe! I was in an Audi, otherwise I would have joined in the pursuit Aston Martin DBR9 on the track: Awesome machine!
  4. Funnily enough, As from yesterday, the Turbos are coming online better than before! Whats going on?!
  5. Gaz, Check if it's like for like cover Companies such as Adrian Flux will charge you for mods but not payout for them! Ro
  6. I was going to buy a Supra (Guildford), black with flakes. It looked awesome, shame it had been 'abused'.
  7. Actuator was checked - can the wastegate be checked without removing anything? Forgot to mention there is some misfiring at higher revs. Since the boost controller was fitted (after the initial problems), some times I get power loss at top end 100mph+, almost like Fuel cut, not as violent, just for a split second. I do have a TRL FCD
  8. The car has definitely become more fuel thirsty since the prob. Got someone to drive behind me whilst I booted it, and checked whilst stationary - no blue smoke
  9. I have been over 1.2 bar a few times as my restrictor ring is too big. If it helps: I've got Walbro pump FSE fuel regulator, HKS Iridium s40i sparkplugs(6 months old/9K miles) Full de-cat hks back box apexi induction kit Apexi AVCR boost controller (fitted after the problems) Greddy VSPL FMIC Always use optimax
  10. I have j spec 93 TT, 95K miles I had a FMIC and blue hoses installed....problems then began. Sympthoms: It started off with 2nd turbo not kicking in from 4th gear onwards, but if you drop gear, accelerate, it kicks in. When both turbos are on, they pull strongly. Now 1st and second gear sometimes don't get any boost or boost goes only to 0.5 bar. It's now better top end, both turbos come online more often, however there is now a 'judder' from the engine about 3100 rpm, 0.5 boost but not alway. It goes away after higher rpm. There is no blue smoke. The TTC mod made it slightly better but still had problems The obvious has been checked properly, twice. Hoses have been checked and in right places. Had the VSV valve thingies checked, actuator has been checked. The Boost pressure tank was replaced, made the problem 85% better but now it's gone back to how it was with the juddering Could it be the ceramic blades are damaged - Are the turbos the most likely culprit? Possible Turbo 1 is iify hence 2 doesn't want to play properly? I've been told reliably it can't be fuelling or spark plugs. Gonna have it on a dyno to see whats happening and probably have the turbos apart.... Any ideas to help with the diagnosis or if someone else has had similar probs? I believe this is quite an unusual problem?
  11. I've raced two before going BPU. Wasn't impressed with their performance. They may have been non-turbo
  12. Thanks guys, I'm hoping I don't need to PM you Class one
  13. I couldn't see a camera on his car and didn't think he would have one as his car was the ones that carry a dog. I could really do without prosecution, my turbos are playing up as it is
  14. Hello, Just been stopped on a dual carriageway by the police (Dog section). I was doing 110. He gave me a producer for my documents and said he will think about prosecuting me. I didn't get a 'Notice of Intended Prosecution', not yet anyway. He was really rude to me! Apart from being a copper, what would be concrete or sufficient to prosecute me? He had a navigation system that displayed that he was doing 110 behind me. He was the only copper. Am I fooked? Funnily enough my girlfriend happened to be driving down the contra flow of the dual carriageway and rang me! I didn't answer, she left a voice mail " I just saw you with a copper, you don't look too happy..."!!! Any thoughts on the likelyhood of being prosecuted? Thanks, Ro
  15. Yup! Unlimited Mileage, FMIC, and De-Cat cost additional £700 for the remainder of the year (7 months)!!! I think my Turbos are playing up so tempted to go single - God knows how much they'll charge
  16. Adrian Flux were competitive, but as I declared more mods, it got bloody expensive - will use Sky next time
  17. I had a blitz BOV on the pipe into the intake manifold which was replaced completely due to new FMIC. The old pipe was 2.5" and the new FMIC pipe is 3". Miami GT will be fabricating/welding so I can put the Blitz BOV back on the same place

    speakers?

Front speakers are 4". You can stick up to 6.5" using the templates and Full instructions from the thread at the top of the ICE technical section. Door card needs to come off. Rears are 6" - normally just screwed on. Just prise off the rear covers - held on by clips. Use Dyanmat for better sound quality. Cheers, Ro
  19. On mines (Jap TT), the original intake pipe was cut to fit the HKS Pipe. I've taken mines off as they're rubbish for filtering. I've got an Apex-i now.

  21. yup, I've been heckled before - people thinking that i glued the old bulb holder itself on the new one and laughing that I won't be able to replace the bulb without un-glueing!!! It's just the bulb holder recess from the old indicator unit that I cut off - it sticks out a bit. I then made the main bulb holder hole (there are two on the new one) slightly wider. I then simply glued the old bulb holder recess onto the new one - So the old bulb holder screws in and out as before. Time to cut the bits - 5 mins. Glueing - 1 min Had to get the standard bulb replaced with an orange (£1 each) as the bulbs that you get with the new indicator are different. Works a treat. Although only using 1 bulb on the new one - it flashes more than adequately. Gimme a shout if you need more info. Cheers, Ro

  23. yup, I believe envy have the revised loom/bulb holders. What I did with my new style clear indicators, is cut off the bulb holder recess from the original indicator and glue it on to the new one - just need to widen the bulb holder hole on the new one. It means I can use the original bulb holder which screws in and out as before. Just need to get orange bulb (£1)
