  1. Mr Nice is Matt Harwood ....... resident ICE/Alarm Guru. Arnout's site is supras.nl........ theres a section on turbo timers and aftermarket alarms
  2. Or you could always ask Mr Nice
  3. It can be done ......... I used to have the same alarm with an HKS TT ....It doesn't work out of the box but can be made to. Can't quite remember what I did ,(over 4 years ago) but it wasn't rocket science. IIRC theres some good info on Arnout's site ..... I'm sure I 've posted the link before.... so 'search' is your friend:thumbs:

    Toms Tech ECU

    I mean Techtom:baa:

    Toms Tech ECU

erm........... isn't it the stock ecu he's adding the rom boards to?? Then using tomtech to read/write ?
  6. I couldn't get a hotel in York , so am staying about 25 miles away. Will join you lot in York on Saturday night tho' , for beers and stuff
  7. Having now read all the post:stupid: .... well I'm tired! No , he isn't being fair! What I was trying to say, is that I bidded for this for the exact same reasons as you. I read it as being a genuine 'Toyota' item , and thats what I would have expected to be delivered. Do what you have to do to get your dosh back .........
  8. Sorry Jake , I didn't fully read your first post .. the first part of it was cut n pasted into the email I received, so i skipped the end bit If he's going down the list of bidders hopefully he'll sell it ....sounds like he's being fair Hammersnipe is auction software that bids in the last few seconds
  9. Hmmmm.......... I was offered a '2nd chance' or whatever it is on this very item, yesterday. I turned it down when told it was fibreglass..... Kinda odd that he's trying to sell it to me , when you have it... I see I will have to use to Hammersnipe in future auctions:p As for paying 49 quid for it ....... i wouldn't be happy if I had won it and found it wasn't as described.
  10. Walk away , man. T here'splenty about ....and better value than that sounds
  11. I don't think it has been 'done to death' The question is .... does the FSE give any significant gains on a car that already has an uprated pump? Or ..... does the walbro on its own , keep EGTs and ARs at an acceptable level? I've used an FSE on a previous car ..... and it did jack! I may get my Walbro equipped car dyno'd at JAE ..... if some one wants to bring an FSE ,to see if it does give any gains....... I will happily donate my car as guinea pig ..... I'll even buy the FSE if its proven to work!!!

    radiator cap

If the ringed bit came off the cap....... I'd replace it
  13. I believe it will bolt up OK ........ this is the case for non VVTis Not sure on the connection at the spoiler end ...... I think its there The loom wasn't present at the switch/ecu end on a non-VVti I saw...... you could perhaps get it from the vehicle donating the switch/ecu??
  14. You'll need spring compressors once the strut's out ....... but other than that it's straightforward ...
  15. Yep........ I got at mine from the wheel arch too...
  16. You could use a decent converter to power it ....... Don't forget the sound tho'! I have had a pc, laptop, and ps2 in the car at one point or another running thro a lil dash mounted screen. I ran the sound thro a Kenwood mp3 head unit using a special aux in cable. Movies were nice with the sound thro' the amps If you're headunit doesn't support aux in ....... best to get one that does. You could use another convertion method ( like those things that allow you to pickup a signal on a certain fm frequency, but sound quality isn't as good
  17. Its been a while since I calibrated mine ........... but seem to remember you had to plug in the supplied serial connector? Is that in place when calibrating?
  18. Its not uncommon for new wheels to work loose even when torqued correctly. You should always recheck them . I do, however, think you should have been told this. What exactly was done for your 450? Did this include fitting the brakes?

    Suspension

The rears are straightforward enough... The fronts, you take out the upper A arm bolt to get the strut out
  20. I put mine in the cig lighter position. I got a longer stem switch for a couple of quid from Maplins and drilled a hole for the led. I had to make a couple of washers/spacers to fit the switch ... but it was easy enough. Its in easy reach now ...... as I like to change settings frequently when out playing:innocent:
  21. I also ensure the engine is at operating temp before draining. I'm with Scott on the oil filter wrench .......... I've used it only once on each soop , the first time I changed the oil.
  22. I thought the same about mine ............ until I saw that pic!! Mines exactly the same except rusty , so I guess it comes with it........ ( Incidentally I have one for sale in 'For Sale') Good luck with the rebuild..
  23. The only thing in the cabin ,with a jammer, is the switch....... and a lil speaker do you can tell when you've been targeted No clutter at all
