All seems ok, idle was still off but took it out for a blast and it was spot on as usual. On returning the idle was perfect and the intermittent juddering sound had gone from the exhaust burble on tick over. Phew! Thanks again Jake, you should get a medal for your post answering on here

Yeah thanks for the reassurance, probably me looking for further issues after bobbing myself lol... I'm just off out now to look for crop circles

Major brown trousers moment today! Was pulling away from a roundabout up a fairly short dual lanes section of good road, hitting 1.1 bar. All of a sudden a big bang/pop sound and then the engine proceeded to virtually die on me and judder and learch throwing out black smoke out the exhaust. Straight away 'turbo's gone' flashed across my mind so applied a little throttle to see if it would still pull away, but no... bairly moving up the road. Limped to an area where it was safe to stop at the side of the road and get the bonnet up, now expecting it to be a piston gone through the roof or something. First thing I spot is the large black hose going onto the throttle body had completely popped off. Didn't have a screwdriver in the car (doh!) so had to make do with forcing the pipe back on as best I could without loosening the jubilee clip. Was only 5mins from home so drove it back while trying to stay totally off boost, wasn't running smooth though. I've just secured the pipe back on properly and started it up, revs ok now and idles ok except what is hard to discribe.. a slight misfire almost. Theres the usual burble from the nurspec, but every few seconds theres like a lull in it with a pattern to the time it does it. Now whether its paranoia or not but there sounds like a slight rattle/tapping sound coming from the engine on idle that again has a pattern to it Could this pipe blowing off and me still driving the car for a few mins before putting it back on have caused any further damage? I've not driven it yet as I wanted to hear back from some of you techy guys first in case it could be something I'll be making worse. Cheers in advance.

True, although I was picking on the sniper rifle as it was the most extreme example. Takes several hits from an assault rifle on burst at close range too, body armour ain't gona do a lot about that either. Seems headshots are a definate requirement. Anyone tried using the pistol, may as well be an air pistol lol Its only a demo anyway, could be totally different when its released... looking good though still and nicely done. Especially like the grenade launcher, no auto aiming crap like some games

Good fun like the previous BF games, good load times, smooth play on high settings, nice sounds, nice graphics... shame about the weapon damage though. 3 direct body hits with a sniper rifle? Whats he wearing...tank armour? Encouraging OSOK headshots is fair enough but a little more realism would be nice, not that I've been shot with a sniper rifle in real life.... yet lol

All the awkward gits should get that treatment, might be more respect around then.

In the intercooler and any that makes it through gets burnt up I'd imagine in the mix.

Wow what a nice example, bet your very proud of doing that yourself. I hope it runs as well as it looks and if the looks of the workmanship are anything to go by I'm sure it will

What a joke, hope you laughed good and hard

I think we need to realise that these 'thoeries' are simply that, and best of all they are produced by other insignificant specs of dust on an insignificant slightly larger spec of dust when compared to the grand scale of the universe We will probably never know the full story as its simply beyond our comprehension unless something major changes, and we can actually handle using 100% of our brains instead of developing behavioural problems if we by pure chance have access to a few extra % of it ala Rainman and the other savants. IMO theres something out there that started something and it dwarfs our existance and yet most of our 'intellectuals' would rather make guesses about all manor of other things. Anyone remember the experiment where some Scientists set out to prove life could start from the amino acids etc, I forget what but it was basically some sludge of the lowest degree with nothing complex added. They succeeded to a degree with getting certain reactions (no not monkeys popping out the sludge don't get excited there ) after applying light/heat taking the part of the sun and moisture etc taking the part of varying atmospheres but the overall question they was left with was 'who played the scientist in the begining preparing it all?' Scary question Need a lie down now

And people deny the countrys in a mess... in fact make that the whole world Scum, they should be rounded up and put into hard labour camps... that'd sort em out instead of leaching off the rest of us who actually work for what we've got

Job done, whipped it off and it seemed to go back ok.... If I never post again its probably cos the fuel tank blows on the test run in a min
-
Ok, thanks anyway... answers the question of whether it should've come with one. I've just got visions of that sock thing falling back and allsorts of crap getting sucked through knowing my luck. Anyone else?
-
Cheers, so did you pull it off the old one? Does the ring thing go back on firmly enough again?

Hi, just in the middle of changing my fuel pump on the supra. I decided to stick with the UK pump and just replace it with it knocking on in years. Thing is the new pump from toyota hasn't come with the yellow 'sock' mesh thing on the bottom, I asked the parts guy as I checked it there and then and he said that you probably had to use the existing one. Having come to swapping it over I've seen that the rivet type ring holding the sock on the old pump doesn't look re-usable, so before I pull it off I need to know if is or I'll be buggered presumably with no pump fitted properly so kinda urgent So is it a case of pull it off and somehow stick it back on or should the new pump have come with one? I can't belive its a part you order seperately..... Thanks in advance.

So was I only the one who read that title and thought of something filthy involving a girl called Beverly? Surely not....

You know the usual score by now.... man takes a supra to see chris, comes away more than chuffed Definately think the good reputation is well deserved. Had Chris fit me one of his SMIC today along with a front decat and sort my rattly boot rubbers out, full marks on everything and cheers from us both for making us feel at home Chris Made a nice difference to the car and well worth the 5 hour round trip, I'm sure I'll be making it again sooner or later.
