  1. I too was tempted by the e46 repeaters, the poss prob i could think off was the hole left behind by the old ones may be too big for the newer ones to cover? If you see what i mean? Never got round to checking though
  2. Thanks Nic, Why are some welded to the hard pipe and some in the stock location? Different sounds? And by stock location, does that mean simply getting rid off the old one and rewiring some pipes? Sorry for the
  3. I need a BOV as well, like you the louder the better in my opinion! Can anyone tell me which need to be welded etc to a hardpipe and which can go in the stock location? Ideally looking for one thats loud, goes in stock position and i can fit myself.
  4. Yellow supe with ferrari badges? Found it parked next to mine at haymarket parking bit. Would have got a plate or something but it was chuchking it down!
  5. lol im watching it right now! Go gizmo!!!
  6. Bloody scam artist, false advertising, car salesman.....
  7. Yours is an NA??? Jeez i never knew, to think i bought my car cos i kpet seeing you in yours and dreamt of having the same power!!
  8. I know what your saying mate, usually trying to do an online quote on an import refers you to their phone number. Got no idea why its working, but i know i'll be saving those quotes as their valid till feb. As long as the paper work has the words import on it i'm happy. If i was you guys i'd prob log on and get a quote out the system, mull it over later as their valid for a while. Never know when it will stop working again!
  9. Just ran through elephant and admiral selecting car as supra twin turbo (imp). Elephant - 1510 Admiral - 1490. I'm 23, 0 NCB, and 3 points for speeding. Oh and i declared rims and exhaust. Make sure you add your mum/wife/sister (anyone female!!!) as a second driver, brings premium down by a couple of hundred. Also, saying you drive another car on a regular occasion also helps as it means your spending less time on the road in your supe speeding!

    Hoses

I thought everyone used the split method too but Ian's sounds a good idea, just didn't fancy undoing it incase there were any specific torque settings or something. Draper, no probs will take pics, most of its done but just the throttle cable to do. Think there are quite a few pics of engine bays wtih this done though.

    Hoses

Cheers Ian, Another thing, why do i have two of these cables and most others seem to have a single one? Cruise control?

    Hoses

Hello All! Started changing my hoses to blue the other day, and was a bit stumped by one. Pointed out in pic attached. How is this one done? Has the hose been split and wrapped around the existing one or is there a way to remove the cable cover and replace? Thanks alot!
  13. Cheers Matt, So i'm guessing a car with stock suspension should be able to squeeze 40s on the rear but 35s at the front and 30 at the rear is accpeted as being wise to preserve handling? I dont want to lower the car unless it looks jacked up, and even then i dont think i'd clear my own driveway!
  14. Thanks guys. I was going to go for roughly your setup scarface, but considering yours is dropped and mines is stock was wondering if i could get 35 or 40 on the rears?
  15. Come on i know theres a few other blingers out there with 19s! What size tyres do you use?
  16. With stock suspension, does anyone know the tyre sizes i could manage without rubbing etc? Fronts i'm thinking 235/35 or 245/35. Rears, 275/30 or 265/30. Would i be able to get 35s on the rear? Or even 40? Thanks!
  17. I saw that car at the local recovery yard. Thats in Hayes, whats the car doing in canvey island now? I tried to take a look at it, but i drove in with the supe and they wouldn't let me anywhere near it?! Guess it was prob earmarked for this auction. Can't say if it was a turbo, i know it had a sprayed silver dash and a mother of an exhaust. I thought it was spoilerless but then realised it had been shared off in the impact
  18. Evans your insane! But give me a shout when it lands on your driveway mate, this i gotta see! :flame Dev
  19. I reckon it could be a possible bargain for someone. Maybe we could do a group buy on it? With people putting in money for specific bits they want? e.g. I'll put in 300 for the brakes, and 20p for the nose cone!
  20. no worries mate, just dont do it again!
  21. Man of few words! Anyone got the j-spec part numbers then?
  22. Hey guys, Tried searching but looking for j-spec brake pad numbers? I keep finding these: 04466-14040 - rear 04465-14150 - front Are these for the uk spec however? Cheers
  23. Confusion reigns! No worries, Paul will give you a bell about picking it up! Other Paul (insane driver) will call about pads and oil flush etc. Cheers guys
  24. Cheers mate, but i dont mean the bigger pipes. I mean the smaller buggers that are everywhere, you know vsv bits and stuff. Sorry explained it crap! Think they're more like 5mm diameter?
  25. Bordering on non-technical here but i'm going to change all the hoses on my car. I understand theres two hose sizes? Can someone tell me what these are please? Also, is silicon hose the same as vacuum hose? If it helps i'm looking at ordering from here? http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/sbv_pl.asp?Vehicle=UV___01&PartType=HOS22 Cheers!
