  1. I think so mate, mines an auto but once planted its a solid 0.8 bar all the way!
  2. I too must echo green peace's sentiments and say Paul is a top bloke. I arrived at his garage with the water hose busted and the bolt on my cam pully having become one with the car. Totally honest, very straight forward and upfront on all aspects. He may not like the loud mouth advertising but i'm pretty sure there'll be a few more posts like these coming up in the future.
  3. ok, well that told me i guess! (j/k, thanks for the advice michael) any advice between toyota stockers, porterfields, or endless? Looking to reduce brake dust as much as possible (and obviously stop)
  4. Cheers mate, nothing to be ashamed off i used to work in TK Maxx! kwik fit is infinetly cooler!!! Theres no way i'd leave the car there, i'd camp out and be watching them like a hawk but free brakes for life? Think it might be worth a trial, if they really shite i'll just change em for some decent porterfields or something Just wondering if anyone has actually got there pads and do they work? Or is it plain suicidal?
  5. does anyone have kwik fit brake pads on there supe? I know it sounds insane but they replace those things free of charge for as long as you own the car. I have no idea what pads they use, but even if i wear them out every couple of months they will replace them free of charge. Has anyone used there pads? Is it worth a go? Or am i just being completely mental in thinking kwik fit pads could stop the supe fairly well?
  6. It picked up all the gatsos while i was in it for a few miles, also i think the db is updated quite often so quite handy. I did have it fitted in my car when we drove up to alton towers on the arm, but the first time i floored it landed in the back seat! Think theres a velcro thingy too but really dont want it stuck on dash especially as its a roundish shape and not a flat square. For the price and what it does it is an amazing bit of kit.
  7. Mates got one in his car. Seems to work pretty well, theres an audible warning as you approach one and it also flags up on the display/map exactly where it is on the road your travelling on. Seemed pretty accurate to me. Out of interest, im thinking of getting one too but where would you mount it? I dont like the idea of it being on an arm?
  8. Damn really? I usually squeeze out 300kms if i'm lucky. Is there something to look for regarding poor economy? (my foots not that heavy)
  9. i think 150miles on 30 quid may be a tad optimistic, dont think mines last anywhere near that long. As a ref, had my TT for about 6 months now. Expenditure to date: Insurance: £1800ish Tax, MOT etc etc. Service (inc cambelt): About £400, being done this weekend. Mods: Boost gauge: £50ish Apexi induction: £50ish (second hand) Dash: £100 Turbo Timer: £100 19" Rims and rubber arriving december. Luckily the car came with a big exhaust and skirts etc else the list would prob go on. I think running costs are one thing (quite reasonable considering the power of the car IMO), its the mods that will kill you. I think everyone says they won't etc but when the bug bites, it bites hard! :flame Dev
  10. Def looking to decat at some point, but sticking on some 19s in december, plus insurance due same month! Still could write it all off as a xmas pressie to myself!
  11. Cheers mate. Sounds good, especially the price! Hmm maybe i could spend money saved on a decat...MUST RESIST!
  12. Hey Guys, Coming up to service time and will get the spark plugs replaced. I know denso's are the accepted norm, but i don't have a decat. Only mods are a 5zigen zorst and blitz induction. Can anyone recommend the plugs i should go for? Cheers
  13. Could be a bad earth on the timer mate. Mine used to do this, somtimes would just stop the engine straight when i took the key out, i realised the earth wasn't too great where i had it wired, taped it up properly and problem solved.
  14. I wanna see! Considering an RSM just need somewhere decent to mount one first.
  15. Was that Ray's? He's had a bit of a ding though doubt he'll make it there.
  16. Ah mate the hayes/uxbridge road stretch has to be the ultimate, a few lanes to play with and big sweeping roundabouts. Usually dint mind the back stepping out but this time it was just fish tailing all over and i wasn't pushing much harder then i usually do in the wet. I know everyone says TC is crap but i guess its better then nothing!
  17. Was driving out in the rain yesterday and lost the backend big time. Now i've lost it before and usually snap it back no probs but this time i was all over the show approaching opposite kerb still at speed. Managed to regain it and trundled home the rest of the journey at 30. Anyway, moral of the story, i had earlier taken apart the dash and forgotten to plug back in the traction control plug Is it just me but i thought you'd get a warning light somewhere on the dash if this happened??? Remeber, always double check u reconnected that bugger!
  18. Gutted for ya mate. Was just talking to sky last week at the meet you missed and he was telling me how gorgeous your car is. Get it fixed i been waiting to see it!! But seriously at least no ones hurt
  19. Hey People! Roy - I'm afraid the wallet has already sprung a leakthe size of the thames barrier! Turner - LED's, hmm mixed comments there. I got a vid on my phone of it in action in all its glory! Soon as i get a bluetooth dongle thingy to get it onto my lappie i'll post it up! I am open to bribery to stop this course of action however!
  20. 1. sky 2. nuttynutz 3. Nick 4. Raoul 5. Terribleturner 6. Ray (yes your car WILL be fixed, unless you want me to tow it there with my van ) 7. MR SUPRA T (looks like its happening, so you added here too ) 8. Sav 9. Rash (newbie) 10. Nish Will try and make it - having to do a few late ones recently, bloody IT!!!!
  21. Think theres a "pivot shift light" on ebay at the moment for about 30 quid. Just a red light which lights up when u get near to redline. I'm sure theres other options with audible warnings and rows of lights that light up changing colour as you approach redline. Just google shift light i think
  22. Guys, Wired the gauge in yesterday works great. Its a mechanical gauge and i powered it from the clock as recommended here and there, but the back light stays on permanently! Ignition off, key removed, alarm on its still lit up. Any ideas? It has two wires out the back which i hooked into red and greeny wires going into clock for power Cheers
  23. I could measure the back of the boost gauge i guess, do t-pieces come in sizes to accomadate all sizes? What size is needed for the bit where u actually plug into pressure sensor thingy thing? As u can tell my technical knowledge is formidable!
