  2. Thanks for the replies etc especially on a non-Supra motor vehicle . Just re-affirms that this forum has many friendly members who offer encouragement rather than put-downs and are definately not narrow-minded cheers J
  3. Just spoke to Toyota about getting car back from bodyshop - apparently we're "not looking good for Friday" :thumbdown , so I guess I won't have it for Bovington J
  4. Yeah I like the Stratos too, always a fave in racing games eg, Forza, PG2... Standard dials are: Speedometer & Tachometer Petrol Gauge Boost Gauge Battery Voltage Water Temperature Oil Pressure Oil Temperature It also has an warning light which comes on at random and means: "Something may not be quite right...which could include the electricals for this light" J
  5. Some cool pics you've got there!! I like the Martini livery on yours, very nice My next Lancia - '037' rally car (now all i need is £40K, and one available to buy) J
  6. Old red paint is a bugger to keep looking nice and deep. Personally I think he'll have to go some to outrun a Supra in a straight line. They are totally different cars to drive, but both awesome!! 260 bhp is relatively easy, just a chip to 1.4bar boost, which makes them rapid once moving. You can get them up to 350bhp, but you probably need a bigger turbo, rebuilt internals etc. You can strip them out to remove weight, but without a new racing clutch I think he'll struggle getting away with the stock unit - I don't bother with fast starts, as I don't want to kill it. If I don't get my Supe back on Friday, I may be having to take it to Bovington... J
  7. Thanks guys, The Supra is the 'everyday' car, but I actually enjoy walking out in the morning and the first decision of the day is "which one do I take?" Not really driven the Supra for 7 weeks now due to the bump in the back, so missed the best of the dry weather , and I was all set to get my FMIC installed and boost raised to 1.2 bar (only running at 1 bar at the mo) J
  8. I realize that many may not be interested, but here's a couple of pics of the 'other car' in my life - my 1990 16v Lancia Delta Integrale. I hope to be getting some good pics of the Supra at the weekend, as I realized I've not posted a decent set (oops ) - still, should look A1 when Toyota bodyshop have finished. (hope to collect on Friday) J
  9. No not an Evo, just a plain 16V, i'm afraid - Evo's were too expensive 2 1/2 years ago when i bought her. TBH, LHD is perfectly OK, except that it can get frustrating having the ability to overtake, but not being able to see if it's clear!! J
  10. Supra TT as every day car. My 'weekend' car is Lancia Delta Integrale 16V, so that's in the repair garage all the time!! Basically, I'm totally additcted to torque! J
  11. Well I've spoken to Toyota this morning and they've gone & repaired them all, and said that they will look 100% when smoothed and resprayed. Hope to get car on 12th, ready for Bovington on 14th. J
  12. Thanks for the reply mate, I did a lot of searching earlier this evening, and agree that these part nos don't seem to exist. My cars getting the rear bumper & spats repaired under insurance and while it was in I've asked about repairing my damaged side skirts, but they reckon it may be cheaper (& easier?) to get new ones. Side skirts are a 'nice to have at the moment' (due to cash flow etc), but I really want to replace the spats (or at least drivers side) ASAP with OEM ones. I'll ask Nic if he can source any. If not, I may see if I can get the money from insurance co and the get the broken one repaired for the time being, and shop around for some others in due course, maybe with matching skirts. I've seen replica side skirts, but what about spats? J
  13. Hi, Can anyone find out and let me know the part numbers of the factory fitted bodykit side skirts & rear spats which were available in Japan as an option? cheers J
  14. Yes, they were a factory-fitted option, I believe. Anyone know the part nos? J
  15. Cheers mate, Exactly the same as mine (except green). So these are factory Toyota then. I'll get back onto them. J
  16. Hi all, My supra is getting it's rear end repaired from being hit by Taxi (Mecedes, not a Skyline ) and Toyota are saying my rear spats and side sills are not factory Toyota. I have some pics at home and will post up later, but can someone post some pics so I can have a look of the (Jspec) Toyota factory fitted bodykit? cheers in advance J
  17. Spotted this morning, Monday, at 7:30 by the Park & Ride in Brisliington. Only justy caught the back end as I was approaching main road to pull out in my not-too sporty Celica (140bhp) hire car - how I long for the ability to pull out of junctions and pull away from traffic, rather than see them approaching in the rear view mirror . (maybe 10th August). God it's slow any takers J
  18. Excellent This one went down particularly well in the office LOL J
  19. Should have Supra back, so count me in! J
  20. Have started getting up to speed with what's going on in MKIVSupra-land as I've spoken to Toyota and I should get Supra back on 10th August , so have added name to list. If not will come along in another vehicle as it's sure to be a good day J

    Honda S2000

Yeah, a mate of mine bought one recently and loves it. I like the way they look & sound at 9000 rpm, but it didn't do a lot for me either in the performance stakes. After a couple of turbo cars, there was no real feel that the car was getting any faster, except a bit of a surge at 6000. I'm definately far more interested in torque than power. My way of looking at it is the torque indicates the sensation of how fast a car is, the power just indicates how long that sensation lasts for. I've been put off buying N/A cars as they just don't 'feel' fast, even if they are. Decent diesels these days can produce a lot of grin-factor when booted, it just doesn't last very long - would love to try a BMW 535d J
  22. yes indeedy! I have a set of 4 here too, and told some of my mates and they got some aswell. hmmm, 'cars', 'motor racing' and 'free'. I like those words in the same sentence J

I hope I've got my Supra back from Toyota getting the rear bumper fixed :thumbdown , Have already missed out on several events so hope a later date is most preferred. Will try to find out tomorrow when I may be back in twin turbo heaven J
