  1. cheers Yeah, it fair shifts on kick-down, and everyone's who's driven it always says that there doesn't seem to be any lag. First turbo hits 0.7Bar in an instant. That's why I'm not bothered about the whole single thing, as on the road, I can't really see how I'd get much more fun. Was a good blast back So you know, it's quicker to go straight on rather than down the A46 and drop down into Bath from Lansdown race course
  2. Anyone know if these fit over UK brakes, and whether they are decent offsets etc? cheers
  3. No probs mate. Hope your journey was worth it.
  4. Another good meet. Thanks Tigger Mawby - don't forget I gave you the £10 for Japfest (I'll PM you & Homer) Good run back to Bath with vvteye
  5. Cool. Gonna leave in a bit to get petrol and have a blast on the way there
  6. What time people getting there. I'll happily aim for 2pm if people are getting there to eat J
  7. As Nic says, the restrictor ring will vary from car to car. Tryt it without it (carefully) to see if the turbos will boost over 0.8. If so, you will need to enlarge the holw, probabaly by about 2mm all the way around (ie increase the diameter by about 4mm). You should feel a real wallop in the back when T2 comes on at 1.2Bar
  8. Looks easy mate. Just off the A350, North of where we were last time http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=51.47677,-2.13034|16|4&loc=GB:51.47677:-2.13034:16|SN14%206UZ|SN14%206UZ

  10. Way to go mate. Hope you get what your due, and back dated to when Mark 'thought' you'd had the salary change
  11. Age. Being told that I couldn't be paid as much as other people because I was younger and 'didn't need the money'. Nothing to do with experience or the type of job I was doing. I was in charge of giving these people work to do on a daily basis.
  12. Years ago (10 perhaps) I was in the same position. I had a degree and the company took me on at a low wage, which was OK as I'd been out of work for 4 months, to see how I got on. A year later I was promoted and given a £4k pay rise, but was still being paid £4k less than guys 20 years older than me that I was giving work to. I spoke to my boss and was told "we only pay that sort of money to older guys who have families etc and you don't need the money". I said that was discrimination and he had no choice but to agree. A week later I got a £3k pay rise and the next month another £2k Be polite and explain the situation. Don't take any crap either as most people respect you if you tell it how it is. Sometimes it's good to show that you value yourself hiighly (but don't overdo it!!)
  13. Spotted on the mini roundabout at the top of Victoria Park
  14. Am interested in getting a set of facelift alloys (17"). Anyone got any they're looking to sell? cheers
  15. Well done Darryl. Is it gonna be ready for the Chippenham meet next week??
  16. 20. jaymdee (1 ticket & 1 club stand pass) (hope to pay cash to Homer)
  17. Nice one Darryl. Was wondering how you were going ther other day actually. You coming to the Chippenham meet (in the BM) next week to provide the proof Well done mate. I'm still going to the gym, but been going out too much eating and drinking the last couple of weeks. Must get back into it
  18. Just looked at the pics in the thread you linked. That is one extremely nice looking car!! Hope the BPU comes out as good as the paint work
  19. Quite fancy this. Is this still July, as I've just read someone talking about May? cheers
  20. Hi mate - these still available?
  21. Be surprised if Chris will be keen to play around with a car on 19's. He always says stock 17's are best

    Nissan Silvia

A 3 ltr performance car WILL always be a 'gas-guzzler' compared to smaller engined cars. I think the ecomomy for a N/A Supra (non-turbo) is very much the same as TT (20-22 mpg) The turbo's come on line from 1800 rpm, so you often find you're using them with very little throttle
  23. Parked up in Park Lane, next to Victoria Park, 2 mins foim my house, mid-day ish Sunday
  24. Yeah, that sounds wrong. Mine's a good quote with Sky (£500 ish), but Admiral, Elephant etc (all the same company) wanted £750, once we'd established they originally gave me a good quote on a 1995 Mkiii (shows how much of a dumb-ass organisation they are!!)
