  1. From looking at previous threads on these wheels, I think the rears are OK, but you need 5mm spacers for the fronts J
  2. Chris, Did you ever work out if this was possibe? I really like the Celica seats too and was wondering the same so searched and found this tread cheers J

    NEW HKS Camp 2

Wow, no idea what it is or does, but looks very nice
  4. Don't know about 12, but I'll be coming along Tigger
  5. Was just thinking how nice the 200SX was that had been in front of me when I saw a Silver Supra waiting in traffic coming the opposite way. Both flashed (for once I pulled the correct stalk lol)
  6. I've seen and posted that before. I work in Filton so have seen it a few times. Don't think the owner is on here though.
  7. Agree with that Ewen. Hard to fathom it out isn't it?!
  8. Phew!! rechecked dates and mates birthday drinking is 2nd feb. So I can attend. So to you, Tigger for the smilie and congrats for finding a date which doesn't clash with anything else (goes off to check football schedules...) Is Darryl going to have people queueing up to ride in the BMW, as they were with the Single Supra??
  9. Sorry if my views offend you, but if God doesn't interfere with people's lives then what's the point of believing in him?? Can't see it does any good. IMHO religion is responsible for 90% of the wars which have ever occured on this planet (my Gods better than your God etc), althouigh I admit that most of the time religion is just being used as an excuse
  10. In my opinion, if God does exist, then he's a twisted malevolent motherfu**er for all the shit in the world. Definately easy to see it's something our ill-educated forefathers would believe in (rain + sun = crops growing etc) but no need for intelligent, sane people in the twenty first century to believe in such nonesense A total load of bollox
  11. Bugger - not sure I can make this one either as it's a mate's birthday, which usually means 11-11 drinking
  12. 1. Pig 2. Mike B 3. supra_aero 4. Gaz1 and boy 5. Ashbhp 6. Wez 7. b'have 8. Jaymdee
  13. I'm currently doing a Masters Degree in Programme & Project Management, which is helping me gain skills & experience within the company I work for. I know some of the consultants I work with, who are not really any better than me, earn £1K a day, but they're established in their field and people think they're worth it. My aim is to get a few years under my belt and then see what's available contracting.
  14. Agree with Scooter. Super charged or Turbo charged cars always produce more torque than NA equivalents, but it generally comes in a narrower rev band. One of my mates has got a Honda S2000. 250bhp but only 150ftlb. Feels really slow as there's no 'kick' when he accelerates, just revs and revs...
  15. Chris, Please listen to Homer. From what I've read on here NA-T costs approx £4-5K to get it working right. You can't just add the turbo kit, you absolutely NEED all the other stuff Homer mentioned above AND you really should upgrdae the other stuff like gear box, drive shafts etc, as they won't take the incressed power for long (if at all)
  16. Totally agree. I get them all the time as hire cars for work and they are truely crap. Cannot understand the accolades for handling as you never know whether the thing's going to roll when you go round roundabouts!! Hate them with a passion!!
  17. I believe the router plugs directly into the broadband phone socket. You then connect computers, Xbox etc using ethernet cables or wireless. What modem are you talking about? Routers are a modem (for broadband) I don't have a router or wireless adapter and my Xbox is connected, so whoever told you that is probably trying to sell you stuff
  18. Yeah, I think his keyboard needs re-calibrating
  19. linky: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/276864.htm Is it me, or does this seem a bit too cheap?
  20. My Xbox360 plugs into a network socket on the back of my PC and I connect the PC to the Internet and then turn the Xbox360 on and it connects to Xbox Live. Took a lot of buggering about with DNS servers to get it to work though You will need to use Broadband. Mine runs at 1Mb and playing online is difficult as it couldn't download quick enough
  21. I said the same this time last year and, bar the times I'm working away, I've managed to keep going at least 2 times a week, sometimes 4 or 5. Have been 5 times over the Xmas period too, so only put on 1/2 stone

    Insurance ?

Not sure on this really, as when my car was smacked in the back by a kind Bristol Taxi driver, the agreed value prevented my car from being written off and me being given a cheeky low value. So as far as I'm concerned it was well worth having it (with Sky)
  23. I'll have to look at the mag at work and see which issue it was. Really it's just about accelerating up to 30mph and then coasting as much as possible, minimising braking and looking further ahead to anticipate so you're off the throttle earlier. Also, build speed down hill and coast as much as possible uphill, or just enough throttle to prevent slowing down too much. The boost/vacuum gauge is really good here because I know when I'm just pressing the pedal, but can't actually feel it through the sole of my shoe. It's a bit "driving miss Daisy", but on a daily boring commute it saves £2 per day, which is more money for mods at the end of the year
  24. I actually got 287 miles from my last tank commuting (could have got more), whereas i usually only get 240. Driving nice and slow - have been reading about maximising fuel consumption in Auto Express and it bloody works! approx 25% extra miles!! Obviously when the road opens up I blat it, but when in traffic I'm being really careful with the right foot and using the vacuum reading on my boost gauge to tell me how hard I'm pressing the accelerator pedal. Can't believe the difference and no real reduction in fun as it's only when I've got cars in front of me.
