  1. Well done Darryl. Every time I've seen you over the last 2 years there's been less of you Really good achievement to stick with it for so long - just don't go back to the old habits or we'll be reading another of these posts in 5 years time
  2. Hi, Not trying to piss on your parade, but I think some people previously have fond that 0W-40 and even 5W-40 are too thin and can cause smoking. Silkolene Pro S 10W-50 is a favoured oil in these parts. cheers
  3. Can't make this one I'm afraid Tigger Have fun
  4. Thanks Steve, I did contact them and hopefully I can get a new front set. One week inside the 5 year warranty!!
  5. A bit of an update. No real drama, as I was driving over a speedbump on site and car made a strange noise from the front and I bottomed out (never done that before). I carried on into the car park, jacked it up and took the wheel off- hey presto, snapped spring. Have a few pics but can't attach them whilst at work. Have phoned Fensport, where I bought them and they said they've never heard of these breaking, couldn't do anything warranty wise (and doubted Eibach would) and quoted me £280 for a new set. I then phoned Eibach UK and found out they have a 5 year warranty. Back to Fensport and found out I bought them on 13/04/04, which is one week inside the warranty!!! Back to Eibach and they say if I can prove purchase was made within 5 years, they'll provide 2 new front springs free of charge (hopefully that will include fitting too) Need to wait until the US are up and in work to find out what to do next. Fingers crossed
  6. Basically, one of my springs snapped on the way into work this morning. Been fitted for 4 years and done 40,000 miles, which does not seem excessive. Anyone know if there's any warranty with these? cheers
  7. A bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a front spring from the Eibach pro kit knocking about? Driving in to work this morning and mine snapped!! cheers
  8. Just been to pick this up from Chippenham. Full Leather Cobra Monaco seat. Not too bad for £30 with runners. Going to see how it goes in the MR2
  9. The link you posted only covers personal injury, not your car. Most (or even all) trackday insurance only covers damage to your car, not anyone else's. Make sure they make people sign a disclaimer to waive rights for compensation if you hit them. try this: http://www.morispayment.co.uk/trackday_quick_cover.asp pretty reasonable. I used them for my first track day, but don't bother now.
  10. Steve, Is this open to non-members now? One of my work colleagues has an S2000 and wants to track it. cheers
  11. Thanks Nic, Email sent
  12. Thanks for than Nic. Can you please PM me your 'best price' for new rear lower arms (do these come with ball joints?). In fact can you PM a price for all the arms/bits required to totally replace the old bushes cheers
  13. Thanks Steve, I understand your explaination. Afraid I'm not down for the Tech Talk session, as I've got far too much work to do on my MSC course and just can't afford to spend the time travelling Will phone garage and see if they can hold off at least until tomorrow, when I'll be able to pop up and talk to them face to face.
  14. Steve, What do you mean by "introduced some shear into that bush" ? cheers mate
  15. I agree with you there Steve. I'm wondering whether to tell the garage to stop while they can and see if I can arrange for a weeks time to get them to remove the arms and do the thing with Miko_Supra to get them all replaced, which I think takes a week (assuming he's not doing any others)
  16. My car is currently in a garage as I wanted the alignments done and they've just phoned and said that they're trying to free the rear camber bolts but are concerned that the bush may have rusted up. Is it possible to get a replacement for the Rear Inner Lower Arm Bush? From reading various posts it seems that you can get powerflex ones. Anyone know if this is correct? Have PM'd Miko_Supra, but thought I'd post up here. cheers
  17. Sorry to disagree on this Darryl. I was pulled over after the first run last year for hitting 112 and told I needed a helmet if I wanted to run again. Was told that anything over 110 is strictly enforced. If you have one and drive a TT, I'd recommend taking it
  18. Just seen one on Pistonheads - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/902891.htm My 2000th Post
  19. Here's a nice C6 Targa for £24K http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/948427.htm Maybe in a year or so...
  20. I don't watch live TV anymore, just Sky+ everything and never have to watch adverts again
  21. Paypal'd for drifting. Have done the drag strip twice, so fancy something new Cheers Steve - looks a corker of a weekend
  22. This garage is just down the road from me. Don't know anything about it or the people, but I don't take my Supra there - just has the wrong vibes when you drive past
  23. At the front of the car under the bonnet is an Air Con gas sight glass (there's an H marked on it IIRC). Run the car with aircon and see if any bubbles are moving through the sight glass. if not, you've lost your gas and need to get the system checked and regased
  24. Any one know anything about fitting pillowball top mounts to an SW20 MR2? The new mounts are much slimmer than the standard old ones and sit really low in the stock cup. Am I supposed to fit some sort of spacer? cheers
