OD off does not make the car go faster. all it does is lock out 4th gear. people always say that it holds the gear longer during normal driving - it does not do this. When you plant your foot it always changes at red anyway. weather ODs off or on. What determins how fast and when gears change is how hard you push the throttle.

Sounds normal. O.5bar is fine. You can up it with a manual boost controller. Cost about £15. A slight adjustment see 0.7bar on 1st and 0.9 together

My most embarrassing moments are when around 25 to 50 kids start running /chasing my car- shouting "give us a lift, wicked, F&F" as I drive into secondary schools for meetings- Sometimes seen by my colleagues which makes it doubly embarrassing. This happens quite often due to the nature of my work.

Red triangle and handbrake light wont go off?

made sure Handbrake was off check for codes-none -checked handbrake switch -which worked. Turned out to be a blown brake bulb. so very cheap fix -

I would just leave it. Cleaners can do more harm then good. They can losen carbon deposits and send them on there way to the turbo barings etc. Big no no

Possible- But that would be a leak of around 0.5 bar between the 2000 4000 rpm which would be very very obvious!. it would be hissing like mad at 2000 rpm. of course I hope i am wrong and it is a boost leak but I would be more worried about tubby 1 compressor fins I think he did try TTC and it porduced only 0.7bar which is low with the listed mods _Any other ideas to why this problem is occuring to help this guy out. Only had it 3 weeks

You should be making around 0.6bar of boost from turbo 1 at 2000RMP-up to 4000rpm when the second comes in and both produce 0.8bar if its running in sequencial (sp) Stock. If yours is running in seq then turbo 1 may be dead. Can you hear a turbo whistle from around 1.5000rpm.?? you shoud be able to OR it sounds like it make be stuck in TTC mode if the switch is stuffed. If that the case- then what you described would occur if stock---- But if this is the case then with your mods u should see more then 0.7 bar.

Mine has a 160 000 mile on it -and it runs like new!!. Just change oil every 3000 miles or so. No need to clean or run cleanning additives.

temp sensor? . there are two. One for the guage and one for the ECU- I think!. located towards the left of the engine bay. follow the pipe work from the radiator

I just want the option to run in TTC for the exhaust sound and fuel economy reasons? PS don't say get a polo - got one;) read somewhere that fuel economy is improved by doing this mod.

I do know how the car behaves in TTC ect but was wondering 1) what problem, mechaninaclly running in TTC can cause. For example to certain pressure areas on the sequential system. 2) How does the switch cause it to run in TTC- (do have a goodish understanding of system) 3)Also when switched to SQE mode is it running the same as it would do with out the mod if you see what I mean. Correct me if wrong but i don't think motor (fixed) oil evaporates. Top it up and keep an eye on it. 10w-40 is recommeded. 5w40 is thinner and more likely to pass oil seals etc.

my car does something similar. in 2nd mine boosts at 0.9/1bar/ and in 3rd it hits 1.1 bar. I always back off though becoz will hit fuel cut in a few seconds or so. I don't think 1.4bar will be a problem on hybrids/ and surely you don't hit peek boost in 4th alot of the time so don't wory about it

HE DERSERVED IT MATE. Got so many of these 17ish pricks near me and they all deserve a good kicking. Not yet touch my supra but will def react the same way if they lay a finger on it. Tempers are hard to control sometimes so don't worry- He shat him self and wont lay a finger on your supra again.
