  1. Check you BOV piping. The toyota clips are crap at holding pressure. I could cause a leak with my mouth!! Replace with a good set of clips and boost pressure up again.
  2. Ok getting there....... so you would place the ball and spring controller as in the diagram. (yellow=pipes) Then block of nipple A and the pipe work that was previously attached to nipple A? Sorry about this guys- just want to make sure.
  3. Cheers. ...so for a ball and spring type manual controller you would put it on the pipe at B ? as I read somewhere that it was A. just want to make sure
  4. Which nipple/pipe is the boost controller attached to A or B? Cheers ArdZ
  5. If your worried about garages thrashing your car. record the millage and tell them that its not to be driven without you being there. Sounds harsh but that what I have done and works fine.
  6. Def get about -.7-9 when i lift off. However the max boost is 0.65bar. Both turbos come on as they should too. I have converted to TTC and the boost was the same. Could be a blocked Cat or something. I am able to raise the boost with a contoller to 0.8 bar but I would not go past this as I have both Cats still in so not a good idea.
  7. Maybe! So if -0.55bar on idle is normal then I don't have a leak- am I right in thinking that.
  8. Right- looked and found no split pipes anywhere. tested them all with a foot pump to make sure. Will the idle negative boost show up a boost leak. Mine is sitting at -0.55 bar. Is this about right- what do other peoples negative boost read? just to compare Cheers
  9. only does it when engine is running. so time to look for spit pipes i think. and no its not my engine LOL
  10. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=25225&highlight=hissing Just found this- very similar to mine- goodie I shall have a look in the morning.
  11. Hi - just your thoughts pls. There is a hissing sound coming from the circled area. Is this normal. Can someone just have a check on their engine as this sound has always been present on mine. The stock boost is 0.6ish bar when boost controller is off -which I know is a little low. boost gauge on idle is -0.55 bar?
  12. Anyone got any contact details for a wholesaler who can supply boost gauges
  13. http://web.ukonline.co.uk/soarertt/index.htm mechanical tab then click on suspension found this site- for the soarer but might also apply to the supra. ArdZ
  14. http://ocy.k2000.free.fr/images/kitt/k30.jpg. Kitt had a boost contoller. Funny that. Anyone got a button like this for theirs? ArdZ
  15. They are very good and know their stuff.
  16. You would need to remove the cats too to gain any real BHP. However you will need a restrictor ring to keep boost at about 1.2 bar as the system will become too free flowing
  17. I get that with both online. (Stock) 0.6 on 1st and 0.8 on second. can't begin to imagine the gains when BPUed. Gonna happen soon!
  18. In sequential the turbos don't run at 80mph either/ only if you put your foot down a little harder then normal acceleration. So the only way it saves on fuel in TTC is that your car just does not boost below 3 even when you plant it. So that’s why your fuel economy has gone up. Surely just have sequential and drive with light acceleration and you will achieve the same fuel economy as you won’t boost. Except with the sequential setup you also have the power down low when you need it.
  19. Just my thoughts on TTC. (Auto)The car felt very sluggish and to top it I was beaten at the light by a saxo VTR up to 35mph40mph. The boost starts to build about 3rpm and full boost by 4rpm. I really did not see the point of this mod. Changed it right back then thank god the car moved again like it should. The only two advantages are that the power build up is predictable and it sounded like a beast. Probably better on a manual !
  20. Cheers- would it be OK to use them untill they need changing again? Car feels fine and bites well.
  21. Hi, Changed my front pad yesterday (UK) - and noticed that the new set I put in had a smaller friction area then the pads that came off. The pad shape is the same so slotted in nicely. The pad friction area now sits about 5mm away from the edge of the disc. Is this likely to cause any problems?
  22. My brothers got one and they are rapid. lots of gizmos etc. get one with leather
