  1. ok im basically after the opnion of the older driver (30+) Im sure we have all noticed recently that the age of the new supra owner (including myself) is lowering into the 'boy racer' age range. I just wonder what do you older guy's think of this. Are you worried about the reputation of the car being ruined? worried bout insurance being put up due to the owners? Worried that many supra's will be ruined, due to poor maintence (runing on minimum money), crashes and other reasons. The reason i ask is, i had to do a job in another part of england, and a young driver in a supra done a really stupid overtaking manover, he looked real young 20 or early 20's. I dont really give my car any pushing (no NA jokes!! )unless in straight line,i have learnt my lesson, and never overtake in stupid places as its a big car. Just intersted in peoples views Also im a NA, i had a volvo 850 giving me some on dual carriageway would he have me i didnt play he looked fast lol

    Newbie!

SZ is indeed a Non Turbo and the rattle it is a common problem, the boot rubbers, i get the slight rattle as well sometimes, there is some threads on it somewhere, use the search button if you want mate. I think they cheap enough to change, but a pain in the arse! Servicing I cant really say as i have a guy who does mine for me,so i dont pay nothing near what i should Cam belt is bout 250 quid, but thats a one off of course and you may get a car with one done. General maintanance you can do so with the NA it is just the yearly service of Air filter, spark plugs (if needed) oil etc... I only got NA coz had dreams of turbos going bang and me crying! lol

    Newbie!

mine is town driving mainly, with a few long roads. i can tell you the NA is a import, all NA's are imports. other things to note when looking cam belt should be changed at 60,000km so if it gone by check it been done and if coming up add cost on for that.

    Newbie!

300 miles to 60 quid sounds bout right for 20 quid i get 120-130 miles so for me im looking nearer 360-390ish. Tyres definatly once a year. If you want cheap tyres you could prob get 2 rear tyres for bout 200, but as this keeps you on the road i suggest a bit more money invested into them. Oil change same as any other car really. I have had my NA supra 8months now.not 1 single problem apart from dead battery! Havent had to replace anything done my own oil change. and of course 2 new rear tyres Insurance wise - the UK TT is always gonna be much cheaper then a NA or import TT. Just because it is a UK Car and not a Import. UK cars are a bit more pricey, due to numbers of them and benefits of insurance Also a NA and a UK TT will run on normal Unleaded whilst a Import TT is best run on Shell optimax I noticed your looking at costs so thought that might help a little.
  5. they slide towards front of car if i remember correctly or towards back of car, they pop straight off, simple cant stuff this up mate
  6. something that made me laugh, he does the whole entire car....but forgets petrol cap:stupid:

  12. this car better be a TT lol itsdown by poole motorcycles, they did have a GTO and RX7's at this place as well its black and looks nice
  13. ok this is more for peoples info Well today in poole, down a bit of a backroad there is a garage and they seem to have a lot of jap performance cars coming in and out, well at moment they have a lovely supra, im not sure of the bonnet but its carbon fibre, with big vent cut in centre and 3 little vents up the side parts of it, bodykit and wheels as i saw and in black i am gonna go take a proper look at it, see if it a TT or NA either way i am very interested in the car. NA, just will save me so much on mods TT, ill say no more:flame Dev im currently praying it a UK spec....all pray wit me
  14. hi mate na 0 -60 = 6.4 TT - about 5.1 to 5.4 figures vary i can handle having a NA exhaust, induction kit and De-cat will allow you to kill all hot hatches but if your wanting a ferrari killer then TT way to go and dont even bother saying i wont be modding it....we all do it
  15. i can vouch for it sounding crap, gave someone horn yesterday they must of thought it was a mini on another note was it you i saw in red supe yesterday (twice in fact as u or they went buy when i was on darbys corner as well.
  16. on the same hand dont be put off by aftermarket parts, if hes honest and has reciepts for the installation. If the guy is honest with you, like mine was he told me front bumper was resprayed when he glanced a wall in a multistory car park, then you can be pretty sure it is all done correctly Make sure all gears are used when driving, wiggle the car from side to side when driving Make sure you do a full lock turn in reverse and forward (important to listen for crunching noises) dont know bout the turbo's ddont have any press all buttons i didnt try the electric wing mirrors and only one moves check for spare wheel and tool kit, have a quick look under car for dents and that everything looks ok, check where car was parked for oil marks on road. all can think of on top of head people must hate me when coming to buy a car
  17. cant chip them but you can get a Replacement ECU, cant remember name of one off top of head, that mandy has on her car
  18. i wont get owned...never by another supra...not yet and never... i said never!!!!!!!! although i do seem to miss 2nd in my little drags from lights tim,tim,tim....we gonna have to have a chat

  20. madonna i wish i was joking if i here one more MILF joke from my mates their gonna be trouble!!
  21. id help u, but i aint got a clue! hope u get sorted, i wana kick you good and proper no excuses!! your problem sounds weird, might sound weird but check ur earth as when the car jolts back on heavy accerlaration perhaps it knocking it slightly loose and thats the reason the steering aint effected as that still gets the correct signal, it just a idea:stupid:
  22. I want a dad like you!! my dad when was 23 bought a brand new porsche 944. He now drives a ford puma...where did it all go wrong.... He told me i was born so porsche had to go im worth every penny
  23. i didnt chicken out, ive actually asked my dad do i have to go the wedding. He said if there was a good enough reason obviously not. Apparently Karting isnt a good enough reason! i tend to disagree.....but the words that followed where.....while u live under my roof
