  1. Turns more heads if I'm heading towards a speed bump I see my membership is almost 15yrs, god I'm old now!
  2. I still lurk on here but not much to add to the rest of the forum anymore. I've got a 3rd dashboard iteration in now that I've built and flocked but need to redo all panels to fit correctly, but this picture gives you some idea. I also decided to give it its first good machine polish, I've only been using it 2 and a half years so a little overdue lol but came up well
  3. The colour is one thing im very happy with as did wonder had i made a good choice!
  4. Been away to Australia for a month...already wondering what am I doing here, now that I'm back!! Had such little spare time but i did do a quick video of the car since its bit more back together now. Also at the end a poor quality dusk video of it on the road.
  5. Yes, I'm now refining the detail on the outside, the little finishing touches. However I'm looking forward to getting stuck Into the interior and getting it to te same standard of finish. (And piping up the aircon!)
  6. Replace the ugly thing keeping its position, however will be a 3 pipe exit and will have black metal mesh neatly around it. It is effectively a tail piece so can keep replacing till Im happy.
  7. Shame it doesnt have a window just to see behind
  8. Cheers guys You'd think so wouldn't you but I'm a perfectionist so there are some things I want to sort.
  9. Thanks guys. As for cost, well now I've done all the expensive bits of being first you could get to the same stage as I am at now for about £30k. Its a lot but seeing as an ultima costs normally around £50k and a cobra , GT40 etc... im pretty happy! Kit costs depends alot on exchange rate and what you choose to take in the kit because then you have import tax etc... You should all look forward to the 2nd one being built by another Mkivsupra member, im looking forward to seeing how that goes as well and sure will be excellent!
  10. well I've got it back after 6 / 7 weeks I need to fit mesh and other bits like 2nd mirror etc... but it gives you the idea of the finished car. Only words I have is ignore exhaust pipe it will be changed! I'm very happy with work they've done, after all the whole car is fibreglass including the whole door. Picture Heavy!!
  11. No more needs to be said.... I'm in! (French but background scenes /info
  12. Which bit do you mean? When I get it I'm hoping the colour doesn't look too 'solid'. Guess we will see. Ohh and it's definitely time needed I reckon I was up to 650hrs spent so far.
  13. cheers, found a picture id forgot showing decision on the rear vents. Also the parts around the lights will be Satin black, centre cut out is where custom exhaust will come out.
  14. have to admit mate....think the spoiler I choose is the wrong type and wont be making it....could be an expensive mistake
  15. I was going for the 'blend into the background' look. Hope ive pulled it off i just didn't want silver or black, but also wanted the car to look good on cloudy days as well. The last part I think I've nailed so very happy on the choice.
  16. Be good to drive it!! It was time to shake and Bake...showing off the 3 stage paints colour range
  17. vents are in and the car is to be sprayed this weekend (shows rally vent as vented air for cockpit that will be hidden within the roof scoop) Picked up the splitter and headlight covers which have been hydrodipped.

    Ukip

Coming here to work and doing a job then welcome in. However we must be offering something big compared to other countries in Europe when people will take high risks to illegally get here. They will come from eastern Europe...across Germany, France etc... then sit waiting at a port for weeks for an opportunity to jump on the axle of a truck to get to the UK....just seems a bit crazy when you've got to France which has a lot to offer....just maybe not in benefits.
  19. For me it was Prawns thread of rust on the rear arch in mid 2000's. We had members joining up from all forums for that!
  20. I love some abuse and I missed it. What was it, small penis? If so could they stop spying on me in the shower, cheers
  21. I'd forgotten how good this forum is actually, just weird having very little to contribute and becoming a lurker again!
  22. No Uk company division and is purely the American side. The disgruntled customer was around when I ordered. A few of the extra complaints from 'others' on his site didn't make sense when I was google searching. So I still went ahead... However I was going to Orlando and drove the 6hrs in the worst rain I've ever experienced down to Miami to see the factory and guys. Not much differen to a small UK kit car firm, just a couple of guys etc... Saw the orange car and went out in the green car. As well as this I'm in touch with a guy in New Zealand who bought one at same time but is dropping in a Mercedes v12 amg engine... Nutter It's what made me go for it was the good looks and how different it was and I felt I could tone it down to how I wanted. I will say it's not like a UK kit as effectively your left to your own devices other than knowing the donor car as they can never build or keep up with UK regs. I did do a much more detailed blog then this thread. Stu has plenty of night time reading to do :-D
  23. Is it all you thought about when building it...or was that just me!! Lost a few hours just staring at it. On plus side the bodyshop has managed to sort out what i believed would be the compromises....no longer compromises which is good.
