No problem - but I honestly think your patience is going to be stretched to the limit to meet all the criteria you are looking for. As I said last night, the major stumbling block is going to be the mileage. To find an ace looking car in just two colours, with 50k miles or less for around 6k is going to prove very difficult.

I too was with them and they were great. I then sold my car and had a lapse between renewing and they informed me that they no longer insure imports but will continue to honour existing policies. In my opinion, imports are becoming easier to insure due to the numbers.

The chances of finding another with that mileage, in that condition and for that price are very remote my old mate. You really did fall in lucky there tonight and I think you are going to be kicking yourself in the next few months.

I think you'll find that all the TT range came with ABS.

I cannot think of any known major defects that affect the car. Sily things yes e.g: 1. Boot rubbers needing changing to stop the rear hatch rattle 2. Passenger grab handle breaking 3. Headlights misting up 4. Top right warning lights intermittently not working (dry joint) These type of things are very easily and cheaply fixed. Just be careful who you buy off. Try to buy off a specialist who knows the cars and not just someone who flogs these next to any old tat. Ask local lads which garages to avoid - I am sure Keighley Car Centre will come up in conversation

The problem we as punters have is that every insurance company will be the same. So, taking business away from Sky to give to another company will only see us jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

I hope it works out well for you but I really would have gone to view before bidding. I will send you a PM later to show you a site where you can look at things like VIN plate recognition i.e. to see if it is what it looks like or if it has had a transplant. I would also take along a mechanic and someone who can spot body repairs etc.

I think the highest bidder is a member off here. I really hope they have done their homework on this one. As my old Dad used to say - if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
