  1. Congratulations to both you and your partner
  2. At the moment I have no 6 speeds for that kind of money and have nothing coming in either. I would agree that an nice auto would be a far better choice for that budget.
  3. I type slowly so you can understand You said the car was sold showing just under 47000 miles on the odometer. My guess would be that the figure was actually in KM's after coming over from Japan. Therefore the true reading in miles was around 29,000. They then changed it so that it was now clocking up in miles from then on. The numbers weren't changed - just the type of input (miles not KM's). So, since then you have clocked up around 53,000 miles and are showing 100,000 on the odometer but that is a mixture of KM's and miles. Therefore, if you take the original figure of 47,000 and divide that by 1.62 you get the miles of around 29,000. You then add that to the extra miles ( 53,000) and you get 82,000.
  4. Surely it should be very easy to tell if the odometer is clocking up in KM's or miles? A short run should confirm that very easily. My guess would be that it was showing 47,000 km's (29,000 miles) when they then changed it over to clock up miles. That being the case, you will now have covered the the 29,000 original miles plus the 53,000 extra thus around 82,000.

    Skyline..Tempted..

I would expect a car like that to be a bit more expensive to be honest but they may have managed to buy it cheaper in Japan due to the time of year. Bloody lovely looking thing eh?

    Skyline..Tempted..

They are good guys. F1 autos is now the retail arm of the company that normally only ever dealt with trade sales. Like I say, if anyone is interested, give me a shout and I will see what discount I can get.

    importing

A bit late I know but that isn't correct mate. As the car is over 10 years old, it will only need an MOT to enable it to registered.
  11. If you use the search button, you will find that they are not very well thought of.
  12. I would not suggest posting the same thing twice old chap - it tends to get people annoyed. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=94595

    want a tt for 8k

Hello and If I were you, I would try to get a ride in a few cars first so that you can feel the difference between an NA and a TT. I would then get a ride in an auto and a manual to see which you preferred. TBH, you are going to get a lot more car for 8k if it is an auto as a manual TT for 8k is very cheap indeed.
  14. As previously mentioned, if your budget is 5k then you are going to be very lucky to find a decent TT.
  15. If you are prepared to wait to register this in July (bear in mind it will be 8 weeks until it arrives) then this is a bargain! This is a white to blue colour change vehicle but the paint is in superb condition. The interior has some wear on the drivers seat (Recaro) and a light cigarette burn on the front passenger seat but overall the interior is very good. This car really stands out in Electric Blue is an Auction Grade 4 and has covered just 56k miles. It also benefits from the following extras: *Veilside nose and Skirts *After market spats and spoiler *18" Volk "Racing Challenge" Rims *A/M Sports Suspension *Blitz Nur Exhaust *Defi Gauges *Momo Steering Wheel *Trust Air Filter *Cusco Strut bar *HKS Suspension *Addzest CD/MD Player. Like I say, if you are prepared to buy now and wait then this is a bargain at just £11,995. If it doesn't sell now, the price will definitely go up when closer to July!
  16. I still have this crap result. Talktalk tell me that thsi will be upgraded to 2meg on the 9th - we shall see.

    Help with ADSL router

The router is an old one I have had on the machine for some time. I dont think i still have the manual.
  20. I have finally got my installation disk off Talk talk to change to their broadband service. I have it running and it has told me i need to change the settings within my router to the ones they provide. I have tried to open the router program but only have the options to register or un-install. Where would I look to open up the settings menu? It as a Zoom ADSL X5 modem.
