TBH Geoff, providing I stick to my agreement with the land line, I don't think they will give two hoots. I need to wait just a few weeks though as I have plans in the pipeline that may just make the whole thing needing a rethink

I went with them as their phone offering alone was worth it. The Broadband came as a bully bonus Now I am seriously thinking that I may keep their phone service but see if I can transfer to another ISP.

I have just got off the line to TalkTalk and they are next to bloody useless. I have been experiencing very slow line speeds (56k type speed) for the past day or so and today decided to speak to their "technical support". After keeping me holding for over 10 minutes, a lady from India then tells me that I should do 6 speed tests, log the results and then ring them back tomorrow. Her reasoning was that it may be a problem due to increased traffic. I explained that I had done the speed tests since yesterday and that the results all showed a crap line speed. Off she went again and came back in 15 minutes to tell me that she has reported the fault to a level 2 technician and that they will look into it and come back to me with 48 hours. Oh I really wish I had not gone with these bunch of bloody cowboys!

I think that when you first put in the reg number it fills in the details for you and they obviously haven't yet changed the colour with the DVLC. You would be correct with the reg too. That would be when it was first registered in the UK. The year of manufacture is shown above that.

To my mind, the only honourable thing to do is to refund the guy. They are obviously not side skirts nor worth £130.

using the test site http://www.speedtest.net I have tried to see what my line speed is today as I cannot seem to download anything of any major size. I have done the test and each time it kicks in, zooms up to 1.8meg but then 25% in it rapidly drops down to 56k and stays there. WTF is going on? I am with Talk talk BTW.
