Nah, this time I was offering to run a traders HPI check (freebie) for the gent to see if all was well. It seems he doesn't fancy it as I didn't get a response.

Ah right. I jumped on it as much the same thing has just happened to me. A member on here has been talking to me for weeks about buying a car. I have been finding him ones to look at (usually at 3-4am in the morning) and last night I found a lovely GZ grade 4 car going through auction. He came back and said that it was lovely but he wanted a black car. Well, lo and behold, he then buys that GZ from another trader and didn't even have the balls to tell me what was going on.

There are several inconsistencies in the advert. They list it as a 1997 car and yet further down say it was manufactured in 1996. They call it an auto in the beginning, then change that to manual - then back to auto again in the pics. As a 1996 car, the preferred option would be facelift - this obviously isn't.
