  1. Thank you JB, I will pass that on to Jeremy
  2. Following on from this thread here and this other thread here I am led to believe that what I need to help Jez out is a 17mm socket that has been ground down to make it thin enough to go into the holes. As I do not have this facility, can someone do this for me (paid of course) and send the socket to Jeremy?

    Mystery Shopper

I think the fact that you have to ask on a specialised forum for answers really shows that to ask these same questions of somewhere like Halfords is pretty unfair and meaningless to your survey. If all you are out to do is to catch them out on their lack of knowledge then fine, but you could probably ask a huge amount of garages the same questions and find they didn't know the answers either!

    nos or t?

I have sold quite a few TT manuals lately as have other traders on the forum so they are available. I have one now for sale at £7995. Of course, it will depend on your budget etc. I would also think that once you mention NOS to your insurance company, he cost will rocket (if you'll pardon the pun) way above a standard TT price.

    happy birthday CJ

Thank you all for your best wishes. TBH, when you get to my age (49) the birthdays become just like any other day especially as I live alone. With that in mind I was all set up to have a boring day looking for cars and an even more boring evening sat in front of the TV watching inane drivel. That was before I got a call from my eldest son (him, his brother and my ex still live in Wales) wishing me a happy birthday and asking what I was doing this evening. He then finished the conversation with, "well, are you going to let me in"? And there he was, outside my house! He had driven up with his GF and my youngest son to spend the night here. So, we have been to the cinema and are now about to scoff a takeaway. I am one happy Dad!

What do you think of this as a reply? My dear Razaq How, how I sobbed when I saw your photographs. It reminded me so much of the death of my favourite Aunt, Herpetia. I watched as she suffered too and the image of her writhing naked on the bed (the clothes used to irritate her) will be forever etched on my mind. I am afraid I have a slight query regarding your request. Friends have mine have told me of certain unscrupulous individuals who prey on vulnerable God fearing people like me. They say that they will try to take my money (although I cannot believe that the good Lord would allow this) and that I should stop corresponding with you in case you are one such individual. Please tell me you are not as my faith in human nature would be shattered forever should it be so - say it aint so, please say it aint so! I tried phoning Mr. Moore today but could not get through. I assume he must be very busy at the bank. I may try again later but before that, my friends have asked if they could see your photographs that you sent me. I have not said yes yet as I didn't want you to think I was abusing our friendship. Would it be OK to show them your poor, emaciated body, all covered in sweat and man smells? Please say yes as I want them to be able to see what I see. Yours in friendship, Colin Cumsin Jurass

I am about to write back to him and I have decided I need a new name based along the lines of the other scam baiters on that site. My initials are CCJ (yeah, bad choice for someone who spends a shit load of money eh ) and i have decided to use: Colin Cumsin Jurass. What do you all think?

    Importing from Japan

No, the hotmail account is for one of the traders that he scammed. He is trying to get everyone together who has been scammed to see if they can take some sort of civil action should he ever be caught.

Noooo...I emigrated to England 10 years ago!
  14. I have just received an email from another import company asking if I have had any dealings with a company called j-motors.jp. They went on to tell me that the owner has done a runner and taken lots of money from dealers and private individuals alike. So, if you have been approached by someone called "Dennis" and didnt part with money, you were lucky. If you have and are awaiting a shipping - you have lost out! Whilst there can be savings to be made by "going it alone", there are also pitfalls too eh? http://www.j-motors.jp

    Another scam

Here are the pics my new found friend has sent me. Now all I have to do is contact a Mr. Collins in the UN bank of England and I can claim my 20% of the £5m
  21. I am looking for a quick sale on this one - sorry.
  22. Being delivered on Saturday - hence no pics yet. Immaculate 1994 6 speed TT in Silver. The car has done just 50k miles (supplied with a BIMTA cert) and has just one owner (the import company) since coming in 2 months ago. Comes complete with Alloys, OEM skirts and spats and delimited / MPH converted. It has an MOT and 5 months tax and is yet another unmolested example (as you know I prefer this) that has therefore not had the boost raised above stock and has never been over 112 MPH. In the great tradition of car sales parlance, "the first to view will buy" and at just £7995 it is an absolute Christmas bargain!
