Hey
I've been getting a clunk from my rear drivers side wheel since last summer. The clunk only happens at low speeds going over bumps. At first it was only happening going over speed bumps or pot holes, but now it's happening over the slightest bump. It's also started creaking slightly when pulling to a stop slowly or pulling away slowly. The opposite corner (passenger rear) sits 1" lower than every other corner... so I dunno if that's anything to do with it.
The rear can also feel very light at times. I also get quite a bit of wheel spin and even some wheel hop in the wet. A hard launch can see the back end spin. That's even with RLTC on Wet when it's a lovely dry day. I need to pull away carefully to keep it going straight.
I did hit a curb pretty hard with that wheel last summer, so I think I might have bent or damaged something.
I've had it into several garages since the summer, but none of them have been able to find anything wrong. I've also jacked the car up myself and tried to shake the wheel, but there's no play at all, so I think that rules out the wheel bearing.
Any ideas guys?
Also, would the car sitting lower on one corner, plus these noises, be the reason for the poor handling?
