  1. or what he said^^^^^^^^^^
  2. Is this not normal? As it's only locked when in park, and the brake is not pressed. I dont think there is any lock on the neutral gate. When you have this problem have you tried using the magic red button to unlock the park gate? It might be that the solinoid that holds it in park has loose connection or is on it's way out.
  3. We use loads of AMP stuff at work. But we only us one or two of each type of connector, so I think our buyer use an agent to get the cheapness required, i'll have to ask them on monday to see if they will deal with the odd car connector.
  4. I dont know how the flash GPS receiver works, but the garmin is defi a better thing, they have been making them for years for planes. I know some pilots even carry them, as there easier to use than the $10,000 Aircraft system fitted. As for the antenna, for the best reception they should idealy be on the highest point of the car, i.e. roof (al'la BMW) but not many people want to put a hole in the top of their car. So on the dash is the next best thing, but if you think how far the signal has to travel, well theres not much signal strength by the time it gets to you. So line of sight is best, but we have got aircraft system to work in the hangar(steel clad). But the amplification will be better than in a handheld box.

    My Supe

What does a monkeys bollock look like anyway? Just to prove anyone can be as bad as steve posting http://community.webshots.com/s/image1/7/73/80/103477380bfmJag_fs.jpg
  6. My Girlfriend says this should be the one, so heres Phils car: http://community.webshots.com/s/image9/0/43/80/110604380mMhplq_ph.jpg edit: GRR cant post the picture, go to the link it's the light blue onelink (supra 1)
  7. Maybe orange is the next purple? I like the orange one.
  8. That sounds very good. I got a route off the AA from calais, to nurburgring and it was only 4and a bit hours, and thats driving within the law:innocent: Just need to find out about insurance and breakdown cover etc..
  9. So who is intrested? TIM? Simon? Millhouse? I'm very intrested need to find out a little more out about getting there, i.e. across the channel, insturance, AA, hotels etc.. Has anyone been there before with a supe that can help. Been looking here today but the guy is mainly in to bikes dont know what diffrences will be?nurburgring info
  10. There is a bit in tech articles about installing it, so guess there might be a link to the supplier:MKIV.com
  11. Sorry couldn't resist after the NUR spec-r thing. Theres a thread on supra forums about the german supra meet at the ring. Nurburgring meet Could be a nice trip through germany and nice trip round the track. I'll have to check the diary, but it can't be anything but fun.
  12. What is it with electrical connectors on cars? you can never buy them with out getting the whole loom.. I know this make the manufacturer lots of money, but there must be a supplier that can get hold of the connector by itself. I think i'm going to go on a mission to find out.
  13. Good! All the pictures didn't look all that good. and no turbo(s)
  14. Does the auto box ecu stop the car from going into reverse, if it's registering a forward speed? Only guessing now, but it would make sense if the converter is giving out a small signal (because it's faulty), saying it's going forward. this would stop reverse from being selected. Supose this would be a sensible safeguard on the auto box.
  15. I thought J-specs had more torque?spec link could be wrong. Like cashpoint said, mine has 17's as standard as well as the bigger brakes, only thing missing is the dildos and seat heaters. Did the uk ever have foldie in mirrors, and lazy boy triptronic? Edited to say: T The link is very useful, as you can check year against chassis number, and trim spec etc.
  16. MKIV supra traction control phase test 1)J-spec traction control, uk traction control, J-spec facelift traction control. In less than 40 word describe the benefits of the 3 systems. Points will be awarded for fastest launch, and 60ft reaction time. 2) Most likely system to save your arse in the wet.....
  17. bet it moves fast than the original fitment If you want a younger car it's going to have to be j-spec or a 7year old uk.... which is heavier.....
  18. I think this guy was the only victim of the leisure world bobby, Only cos the clamp wouldn't fit round a supra's wheels.. It cost £20 to releasehttp://www.seatcupra.net/martyn/jap/2.jpg http://www.seatcupra.net/martyn/jap/1.jpg
  19. some pickies here Ok thats the link to the pictures out of the way. Theres a couple of your's in there blackmax. Were did you all go? I thought there was a change of plan when every one rushed off in the Bournemouth direction. I got to with in about 5mins from home before we turned back only for me to get lost Still had a top KFC which made up for it! Coulpe of very good looking cars there, esp. phill's, and leons.
  20. LOL poor WSB2 Out numbered but never out done! btw i think i'll be sticking to the speed limit today, I get the feeling we're gonna be watched today..
  21. Not knowing a lot about gearboxes etc, Could this system be fitted to the auto box/triptronic? would it be worth it? as you will still have the same drive train losses. From my very basic driving experience the auto seems quite quick already.
  22. I cant see anything wrong with a 100+ odd friends meeting together for a game of pool:D , and it just so happens we all drive fast jap car's.
  23. sorry, I meant i'll try not to be late, this time.
  24. Don't worry I think my gf is looking forward to a shopping spree at all the big shops. Just got to make sure she doesn't spend any money, and just does window shoppin:gallery: I'll be at the usual pub about 1.30ish try not to be late this time.
  25. The one with the cross point and hex head, are the ones to adjust the up and down of main, and dipped beam. If the other headlight is adjusted correctly, a simple but bit rough ay of setting them up, is to park close to a wall, and simply adjust the beam up and down to make the bad one match the good. Or you could use a white bit of paper, and mark out the main lines of the beam on it, then use the paper on the other side and get the dip hight correct. I did this before an MOT and it worked a treat.
