  1. My current tyres are Dunlop SP 9000's, they were on the car when I bought it almost 2 years ago and I've done 10,000 miles since then and they've still got about 3-4,000 miles left, so I assume alignment etc is ok, I'm quite impressed with the longevity !! The tyres will lose traction even in a straight line when the second turbo kicks in. On a bend they will lose traction even at about 3K revs in 3rd gear. The winter road conditions make thing much worse due to the reduced grip levels on the road plus cold air providing more boost. I'm sure it looks good accelerating hard, correcting the Supra's twitchy rear end but when less powerful cars can make faster progress then steps need to be taken !! ( My friend has an NSX)
  2. Since going full de-cat a couple of weeks ago ( 2nd cat already removed about a year ago), my car simply cannot maintain traction at anything beyond medium acceleration. I'm sure the cold air temps recently haven't helped since the car will be boosting higher. So I have decided that RLTC will be the answer, can anyone else confirm similar experiences where RLTC helped ? Also, what's the price for RLTC these days and where's the best place to buy from, assuming there's an alternative to going directly to Racelogic. Anybody aware of any group buys going on in any forums ? Cheers in advance for your replies
  3. I'm fairly sure that, on the UK spec at least, that the OEM suspension is TOKICO. You can see the name pressed into the metal.
  4. Michel, is your suspension sold yet or is it still vailable, I'd be interested in bauying it if the ride isn't too harsh. Cheers mate !!
  5. Finally made it to my first meet, been a member for nearly 2 years!! Really good to meet you all and well organised Ray, especially the nice warm pub. Slick, enjoyed talking to you, like a wally, I managed to take the wrong exit at the roundabout, took a few miles for me to catch up to you again. That's the first time I've seen a Supra being driven swiftly as an onlooker, looked fantastic. Can't wait for the video footage! Hope to see you all again!! :flame Dev
  6. Tbourner, I've just had my EGCV replaced by CW last week, the arm had broken off from the actual flap in the exhaust that it controls. If yours is briken the I believe a couple of guys have some lying around for a reasonable price. I think Dude has one. I had to source one for my UK spec which have a slightly different unit so beware of this, newones from toyota are a little over £400(UK spec). I have some pics of mine when it was broken in a post entitled " is my 2nd turbo dead "? After replacing, car is running brilliantly, also had front cat removed at the same time. (Thanks CW) Hope this is of some help
  7. Supradibbs, what's the price of CW's pads ? Cheers mate
  8. don't mean to go off topic, but, James, how come your car had horns but no bonnet vent ?
  9. the mileage isdefinitely on the low side for a uk car, and conveniently there's no history to back it up. Having said that, depending on what's wrong with it if anything,it could still be a good purchase. My guess is that it's done at least double that mileage because anyone with such a low mileage uk spec supra would not be so careless with the history, and even then, would surely have some invoices. If it's got 150,000 miles on it then it's probably about the right price.
  10. Sorry fir this late reply but hava had to drop off my car with CW for a new EGCV to be fitted so won't be able to make it. Hope it's a regular meet though.
  11. I'd be up for that, any chance you can scan and post up the cover and a couple of the contents pages to get an idea of what it includes. Cheers mate :flame Dev
  12. Adi, I fitted the Greddy BCC myself using the instructions from MKIV.com. When you splice a wire, you just remove the plastic sheath without cutting the wire inside and join the appropriate wire to it. However, only one wire actually needs to be cut right through. I'm not trying to teach you suck eggs here, hope this makes things a bit clearer. :flame Dev
  13. Using t-cut or similar on a black car will most likely create more abrasion swirls than it removes simply because they are more visible on this color. Of all the different types of polishes I've used over the years the best by far has been Zymol which I have been using for about a year and half. It's very expensive but a starter kit which is what I bought for £100 pounds will last for 2 years minimum. Tha kit contains 1 shampoo, HD Cleanse 1 Jar wax, towel applicator for the HD cleanse, 1 sponge wax applicator, 1 microfible cloth and a Lehm clay bar to remove excess oxidation. The wax jar will easily last about 5 years because you'll only need to use it once or twice a year. You'll be amazed at the results after applying the HD cleanse. My car is uk spec 1994 and the paint is virtually in showroom condition apart from the few stonechips on the bumper. I've also heard very good things about mcguiars but never used it yet. Good luck, just a few more months before polishing season !!
  14. Matt, who cares about single figure fuel economy, especially when you can get 100 litres for less than £40. It's even dyed a fancy red color !!
  15. I would definitely prefer the 30th.
  16. 1. Garetheves (Gaz) 2. Rays The Roof. 3. SilverMachine 4. paul mac 5. Zed Sundays would suit me best
  17. You don't have an FMIC do you ? In which case the plug into the motor for the spoiler would have been disconnected causing the flashing and the red triangle.
  18. I thought that the euro spec also had the washers, is this not the case? Otherwise, I'm pretty sure uk and euro are the same. Except LHD of course.
  19. Gough, what's the mileage on your car, because you intercooler looks fantastic considering it's over 10 years old. If there's something else you need to buy for the car then I would probably do that as all the fins on your IC look intact.
  20. Unfortunately, the gearbox seal issue isn't that rare, I had mine replaced by CW while he was fitting his uprated clutch for me, but I still get a little oil seepage. I wouldn't have thought it was anything to do with the clutch fluid change, but I could be wrong on that one.
  21. Should be the same as the standard 17" wheel which is 50mm. It's probably written on the edge of the wheel in raised lettering along with the width of the wheel. Hope this helps.
  22. Homer, how much of the 75-90 oil do you have and how much will you be selling it for. And Alex, when you say you need two bottles, is that 2 litres ? Cheers guys !
  23. I didn't think it could have been you MCanny as I believe you have tinted windows, right? And also, this one was being driven by an 'older' gentleman. I know from reading the insurance post that you're about 27. Now, where has Watson got to ?
  24. Cheers for that dude, you have PM. so are you aware of any differences between uk and j-spec for this part ?
  25. Cheers for that Chris, so can anyone out there find out for me if the part numbers for the EGCV are different between UK and J-Spec, or can anyone confirm from experience weather there is any differnece or not. Cheers !!
