Oh how I laughed at that

  3. Could be an oil seal if you are getting smoke. However, the whining noise definetly isn't good. Are you sure its not the whistle the standard turbo's make anyway? Did you get the decat done, or was it done by the previous owner. If you have properly blown your turbo it's pretty unlikely you would generate 1.2 Bar boost.
  4. Hi I really hope you get a Supra that you want. Thats mainly because you are a 23 year old female and I might see you at a meet. But, I do say that to all the women Newbies

I like your sig mate, well, more specifically I like the woman in it and her choice of attire The whole text speak can be annoying, but, as you said, each to their own. Welcome to the site.
  6. It doesn't have the facelift dials either.

    Supras

Yeah, they are nice. Post up here if you have one
  8. The value is only really an issue when you are looking to sell after owning for a short preiod of time. if you keep it you shouldn't have any real issues. Looks like a nice car though.
  9. He was close, they are both in London. His name is Sir Alan Sugar.
  10. Okay mate, I will be quiet now. May hold you to the beer though
  11. Weld it in Leave it out Buy another exhaust Get lee to look at it Sorry, probably not helping You could try and bend the baffle out a bit to fit more snugly in, or 'pack it out' around the baffle. Put a washer between the baffle and the exhasut (obviously over the bolt inside the exhaust).
  12. Hello dude, nice looking car and welcome to the site.
  13. Terry, don't get me wrong. I wasn't questioning the integrity of your system/solution to the problem over anyone else's. I merely saw some information being posted that I didn't understand and asked a question. Obviously, if I have a question of a technical nature in the future or don't understand the way your products work I will have to ask someone else. It is in Supra Chat

    what speed

About 150 was the figure for the NA with 169 for the TT. The speedo will show more than this though.
  15. Just wanted you to know what you were buying. Also to say that its the response you will get from everybody if you kept calling it a TRD. It just didn't sound like you had taken it on board! At least you got a car you are happy with, I like my SZ-R
  16. Assuming the restriction stays fixed the differential pressure over the FMS would stay fixed to. Despite the fact the that upstream pressure may increase at high RPM's. My point was that the FMS has to be subjected to a higher pressure when it has no back pressure. The worts case being at high RPM obviously. The effective FMS pressure is the upstream pressure minus the back pressure caused by the downstream resrtiction. From my previous post you can see that the effective pressure on the FMS will increase if the back pressure is reduced (i.e. restrictions are moved). I take the point that when the restrictions are moved the system will flow more oil for the same pressure, and that this may be a requirement for a highly tuned engine, but the problem was highlted as being the FMS integrity.
  17. Hello mate. There is only one model of UK TT. Its a UK TT You get the option of it in auto or 6 speed manual guise, the manuals are obviously more expensive. Try traders on this forum like Paul Whiffin (and the others) that can be found in the traders section. Good luck in your search.
  18. Why did you ask then? It seems a bit pointless in asking peoples opinions, then shunning them off saying you know you could get 'x' for it. All IMO.
  19. I'm confused. Not that i'm looking at buying one but just interested to learn about some of this stuff. Am I right in saying that the FMS seal is the problem as it gives way due to excess pressure. This is a back pressure caused by the bracket, cooler and filter downstream of the FMS. This is where i get confused, if you make the downstream components more free flowing, therefore moving most of the restriction and reducing the back pressure, aren't you increasing the effective pressure on the FMS? To explain: If the inlet pressure to the FMS is 10 Bar (for example) and the downstream back pressure caused by the (restrictive) stock system is 4 bar (for example), the effective pressure on the seal is the differential of 6 Bar. Once you change to an aftermarket free flowing system designed to reduce the FMS downstream back pressure to say 1 Bar (another example ) the effective pressure on the inlet to the FMS is now 9 Bar. Higher than before, but it stops the seal from blowing beacuse of the reduced pressure Sorry if I've totally missed the point here.
  20. Funny though. I haven't seen it before
  21. That said I drove around with a gearbox (auto) half full of oil for about three months. Put some oil in it when I found out and ran perfectly for the last 10 months. It's always down to the question of how well things have been looked after (including the use of the right oils as Alex mentioned).
