haha, that would make sense! Could you kindly point me in the direction of Paul's profile?

God damn your resourcefulness no worries dude.

Hi mate, is the battery clamp still available? If it is then I'll have it!
-
Yeah I saw that, it's my backup plan. I'm a bit too stingy to spend 11 quid on postage just yet though, so just thought I'd see if anyone else had one lying around!
-
That would be great if you do! Keep me posted

Anyone have a battery clamp plus fittings that they wouldn't mind parting with? Cheers

Just read the whole thread while drooling, and now I'm gutted to see it's ended like this What's happened mate?

Fair play to the work that's gone into it, but... Dear lord baby Jesus, that is horrendous. Are those Peugeot lights!!? Someone pass the bleach....

Well it's certainly taken me a while to read your whole thread, but it's definitely been worth it! This is one hell of a car, and that engine bay!! -
This looks stunning! I'm not normally a fan of Veilside skirts, but they look spot on here!
-
Are there any more photos of that last one floating about? I'm not sure whether I like it or not, but those exhausts are mad!!! - - - Updated - - - Beat me to it!!

Another vote for nostalgia here!... And looks... and sound... and the dash... and everything else.... And this is coming from a die-hard classic muscle fan! I know it's cliche, but ever since the first F&F film I've yearned for one (as well as a 70 Charger, but that'll be the day). I personally don't own a supra (yet), but about a year ago my Dad was after a new a new toy, and after I showed him a few Supra's he was hooked! He picked up an immaculate 98 Jspec TT6 in black, with UK spec brakes, Prodrive alloys, and a few other little touches. He spent about 18k, which I know goes against a lot of opinions regarding whether or not this is the time to buy, but we feel it's probably the best investment our family has ever made! Especially as I plan to buy it off him when I have the cash As well as all the good points people have made so far, something I've not noticed mentioned yet is how ridiculously comfy it is! At least imo anyway! we took it to Le Mans last year and it was pure luxury all the way there. It really is the perfect long distance cruiser (as long as you don't look at the fuel gauge). As mentioned, the community is also a real strong point. Since I don't yet own a Supra, I'm more of a lurker here at the moment, just taking in knowledge, but everyone is so friendly! Even just chatting to owners at Japfest last year restored my faith in the car scene. My life (and wallet) is currently consumed by my classic Mini project which is far from a standard, period restoration. Christ, you should see how hostile people on the Mini forums get over anything that isn't factory correct or original! Does my head in! It's why I tend to avoid Mini shows and stick to Jap/Euro/general mod shows.

Looks great! I actually think it looks pretty sweet in silver too!

Ok I've realised this might be because I'm not a paid member yet. I'll have to get that sorted!

I would like to be added with a +1 if possible please. I hope I haven't left it too late! I tried messaging berg about the code but I got an error message saying I can only use the PM feature for contacting moderators ???

Lots of varied opinions on this. I really want to believe that the MOT center have got it wrong, but the link Scooter posted on the last page still has me a bit worried!
-
Thanks for the help guys! So are we saying that the best thing to do here would be to just buy a replacement wheel from another toyota to stick on for the MOT? How tricky is it to swap the steering wheel over on a Supra? I'm a veteran of working on cars, but very new to Supra's!
-
Thanks for the info so far guys! I too thought that lacking an airbag wouldn't be a fail, there are no lights on the dash either. That link that Scooter posted has me a little concerned though

Hi guys! So heres the story, sometime before Christmas, me and my Dad bought a TT6 Jap import from a dealer in Milton Keynes. It had been in the country for 6 months, and the dealer claimed that they were the ones who imported it. Along with all the paperwork from Japan, there was also a British MOT slip included from July last year, so the dealers had obviously had the car MOT'd while it was in their possession. The MOT slip stated that the car had passed with flying colours. Fast forward to today, and it was time to get a fresh MOT, and to our surprise it failed due to lacking an airbag! I should have seen this coming to be honest, I knew supra's had airbags fitted from the factory, but since the problem never showed itself in the past, I never thought about it. All I can think has happened is that the dealers have removed the original steering wheel and fitted the one that is on it now (a Personal wheel), or they had a dodgy MOT done by a mate or something... So I guess my question is what should I do now? I've tried looking for factory supra steering wheels that say airbag on them, but can't find anything. Are there any other airbag equipped Toyota steering wheels that would fit and are cheap? I just need one for the MOT. Also, am I within my rights to contact the dealers that we bought the car from and ask them about this? If they have the original wheel then I would very much like to have it! Hope someone can help us out! Cheers Chris

That would be me you spoke to!! And my name would be Chris! Like I said, I'm normally just a lurker on this forum, but I thought I would make myself known this time Thanks very much mate! I would post some pics of the car, but I can't for the life of me figure out how!!
