  1. I didn't mean that this would prevent them from bidding, but it gives you just cause to report them if they do bid, and is the quickest and most protected method of getting rid of them and hopefully their account too. eBay seem to recognise these types of bids as scams more readily by doing as i've mentioned, and should hopefully speed you onto being able to relist or offer as a second chancer. No, don't even reply to them at all, at the very least it could be someone farming email addresses to put you on some spam list - don't give them the satisfaction, just get the account closed and get on with your day
  2. Happy birthday fella, hope you have a good'un
  3. There is an area of the auction where you can specify what regions of the world you will ship the item to - select "United Kingdom" only. As a double security measure, also make it extremely clear that you will not send the item outside of the United Kingdom within your auction details - something along the lines of "Will only ship to the UK. Will not ship anywhere else - especially Nigeria!". If you do this, and some numpty still tries to scam you, simply report them as a non-paying bidder, I forget the exact reason but there is one specific to "buyer wants item shipped to a region not offered by seller" or similar - choose this. eBay will look into it and suspend/delete the offending account and refund any fee's your out by. I've had this happen on two of my listings, and in both cases have had no problems whatsoever with how eBay have dealt with it. Usually only happens on high profile/high value goods - things like phones, computers, TVs etc. Although increasingly, any item is being targetted more recently. For the scammers, it's a case of "lets bid on 100 things, one idiot out of that lot is bound to fall for it". I work in eCommerce as an industry, and the amount of fraud through all facets is incredible, and currently there is virtually no defense for the merchant/seller, it all favours the buying "victim".
  4. Cool, he's highly honoured - i even stopped and took a snap on the ol' camera phone - just found it! Does he come on the site at all?
  5. Walked past a Red supe on the way to (or possibly on the way back from... ) Xscape for 1 or 10 drinks on saturday night, anyone's here? J
  6. My dad saw that, he stopped to see if everyone was ok (Black M6 with CHAMP plate). That bit of road is horrifically bad for grip, any adverse weather and that stretch of road is a car-killer, racing or not. I believe everyone was ok though

    Ronaldinho

I think this one is more suited to you guys
  8. It's to give the filth a sporting chance isn't it CJ? You try reading a single number plate at the rate of knots the orange beast can achieve
  9. Awww, you've all missed me I've been a very busy boy, but i'll be back properly shortly, with a few suprises
  10. Couldn't agree more Rosie A whopping £160+transfer fee More luck than judgement, but cheers
  11. Won an auction for a private plate for the beast last night. Managed to obtain B19 TRD (BIG TRD) for my widebody. Paid virtually naff all for it too, which was nice! Just got to get some bigger TRD graphics on the car now to educate all those that don't know anything about cars to help them 'get' the plate!
  12. Was just looking at it, it's not a 10k tach, it's the 320km/h TRD speedo with a normal 8k tach, my bad.
  13. I have a genuine TRD dial cluster from my TRD 3000GT replaced when i got my Dakota digital dash if anyone wants to part with large sums of cash for it?
  14. Saw you at about 5pm on saturday 12th November, You joined the M20 ahead of me, I wasn't in the Supra but in my L200 Warrior, tried to catch up to see who/what it was but even at 100 leptons you left me like i was sat still Anyone from here? Reg might be wrong, but it was definately N*** S**...

  16. Hey Gaz, I would be very interested in this - i've been contemplating going to Tokyo for ages, but I think i'd prefer this kinda setup. I suppose I *could* bring my other half as well...

    Funniest thread ever

Haha, so some scooby owners didn't lose their sense of humour in the conversion!
  18. Nice one bob - get used to that grin, it's a permanent feature!
  19. Just to solidify that mentalfx is talking sense here, my company deals with search engine marketing also, and his recommendations are spot on I'm pretty sure VBB has a "Search Engine Friendly" URL's modification too, that will help. In fact if you cruise the VBB community boards, you can find out all kinds of useful information on improving rankings. Also, is it just me or does this site have barely any incoming links? mentalfx can you shed any light on this?
  20. Congrats Ibrar, new place looks spiffing! (don't ask, the lads at work have got me roped into that "words you cant really use, but have to drop into conversation" game) So come on then, I want some 19x12 (rear) 19x10 (front) 5 flat-spoked deep dish rims, what have you got for me?
  21. Patrick Bateman, American Psycho. I hate shaving too, and prefer the hobo/bum/unemployed/fight club esque look. I've got an electric razor, a Braun Activator, but it doesn't work very well, and irritates me every time I use it considering the money spent. It doesn't leave my skin quite so bad as wet shaving though.
  22. Trying to move Trig on from the NOS stand at JAE was an interesting experience!
  23. I think it's a bug in 3.0.3, hopefully one day it will be fixed
  24. Ahhh, that's why i didn't get it, I didn't turn up until saturday morning
