    billing pics

Looks like the festivities were thoroughly enjoyed by all (moreso by some than others, by those pics ) I decided to go this afternoon and get my Supra "fix" to get me through the next month of waiting for mine to arrive, and had a good nose around all your cars. Some lovely supes there, especially Envy's TRD replica and Leons (?) orange monster. Gave me a few idea's for things to do, and a few things not to do! Wanted to come and talk to some of you, but bottled it in the end. If you saw a young, skinny, good looking bloke dressed in Denim and a young lady all in pink (apart from her boyfriends blue hoody..) having an unusually long stare at your car, then that was me and my lady, and we were just being nosy! Had a good day, and was very very bitter when I was passed by several very good looking and sounding Supra's on the way home. Soon....Soon.
  3. When I had my plates made up last time, they (Halfords) needed the V5 document to prove the plates were mine.
  4. I bought mine from FunkyProduct.co.uk. Millhouse, thats some collection you've got there!

    Paint colours

Standox do a "Liquid Silver" paint thats amazing, but I think it's about £800/litre+ What about that "glow in the dark" automotive paint they have just released, that might cause a few double-takes!
  6. Well, as it's going to be aaaages until the real Supra arrives, I thought I would buy myself a little piece of motivation to go on my desk, to remind me why i'm working so hard. http://mediahabit.com/hosted/minisupra/CIMG0499.jpg http://mediahabit.com/hosted/minisupra/CIMG0497.jpg http://mediahabit.com/hosted/minisupra/CIMG0495.jpg http://mediahabit.com/hosted/minisupra/CIMG0494.jpg http://mediahabit.com/hosted/minisupra/CIMG0493.jpg I'm such a kid!

    Supra Interior

That looks quality Simon, will definately be doing that when my Supe arrives!
  8. Due to my age, Adrian Flux will only insure the car up to a value of £10,000 so Elephant are the lesser of two evils. Believe me, i've spent a solid week researching insurance companies, calling for quotes, reading fine print etc etc and unfortunately Elephant are the best available. I'm not planning on the worst case ever happening, but if it does then I will have to bite the bullet and accept responsibility for my actions. If someone else causes my P&J to need work done, then its their insurances problem and i can insist on like for like. The Supra is going to be just slightly more than a weekend warrior, but not my daily driver (got an L200 warrior for that) and I will not be putting at risk leaving it unattended overnight etc. The main area is total loss, which i've got it valued at £15k, but again they only go on market value so god knows what they would consider market value for a car like this. As the 3000GT isnt actually a model, i've read on a lot of sites etc that they were based on the GZ, which is what i'm going to insure it as. If the registration documents differ to this, then i'll make the necessary amendments. Insurance sucks doesnt it? Jay
  9. Jake: Everything under the /hosted/ folder is cool with me, I dump lots of pics of everything in there! My wageslip is funny, everything of any importance is blanked out - I just laugh my ass off every time I see that I pay £0.40 tax per month. God bless dividends As for the missus, she loves it With regards to the power, I am already booked on some advanced driving courses, and will hopefully be attending the drift/slide day if she arrives in time. Believe me i'll be behaving myself after such a long wait. Supragirl: yours looks quality, cant wait to see it all finished up. There's wide and theres WWWWIIIIIIIIDDDDDDEEEE! Jay
  10. Hi Matt, I'm no expert, but the one I have has this: http://mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0585.jpg Sounds like the pricing is fine, so hopefully it all turns out as good as it sounds! Sorry Dunk, Someone has already shotgun'd the alloys, but you have second refusal Jay
  11. SkyJawa: I couldnt agree more, but the choice of insurers is exceptionally limited for sub 25s on import cars, especially one as impressive as this. Brian: It cost me circa £14k, and i'm haggling on a few bits as well. I do not know what the "going" price is for Supras, as they seem to vary so massively from case to case. I've seen them on AutoTrader for as little as £5k (presumably dogs) up to silly figures of over £20k. Genuine 3000GTs are pretty rare, so I think I have paid sensible money for her, particularly with the mileage being low. Anyone else care to comment on this? Having said that, I guess the going price is whatever the buyer is willing to pay, and i'm happy to pay that for her!
  12. Hi Guys, Thanks for the responses, i'm glad it's not just me that thinks it looks superb The car doesnt ship from Japan until the 23rd July, so i'm expecting delivery early September. The wait is going to suck, but on the bright side it will give me lots of time to work hard and save for all the goodies i want. James: Might come along to Billing, but obviously not in the Supe, as it'll only be 2 days into it's 5 week journey across the pond! Kevin: The pictures aparantly don't do the widebody justice, so I cant wait to see what it looks like in the flesh! I'm sure I shall be in touch with you for some bits as and when the time comes! Supragal: I've seen yours and it puts me to shame For those that are interested, i'm 22 with 3 years NCB. A fault claim (just me and icey road involved) and 3 points 4 years ago, and i'll be insured fully comp, all mods declared with Elephant.co.uk for £1850.00. Very very excited!! Regards, Jay
  13. ...he finally buys a Supra! You guys probably dont remember me at all, but a year ago I came on here to seek advice about sourcing a Supra, but was worried due to my age. I searched for a long time, but gave up mainly due to work commitments and insurance premiums, but I have finally bought me a Supe! And it's not your everyday one either, i've bought No.3 genuine TRD 3000GT from Newera Imports. So, the juicy bits you guys normally want to know.. 1993 3.0l TT (Auto) 38k miles Full TRD wide-arch bodykit Blitz Dump Valve HKS Induction Kit 5Zligen Exhaust SARD Boost Controller Already got a list as long as your arm of things I want to buy/do, the main ones being new wheels, different exhaust, ICE Setup and a full custom leather retrim. And here's the obligatory pics: http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0600.jpg http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0596.jpg http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0571.jpg http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0569.jpg http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0587.jpg http://www.mediahabit.com/hosted/supra/IMG_0582.jpg Look forward to becoming a regular in the club, and meeting you all at the various shows/events/meets that I will no doubt be attending! Cheers, Jay
