  1. As above, please let me know if you have these in a Supra fitment.
  2. Any chance you have the sensors from the throttle body - MAP and idle valve?
  3. It's a used one from Keron. Original one gave up so I needed it replaced.
  4. So I replaced the alternator on my NA, and since then it idled lower (700) than it always did (1100). Today the idle keeps hunting - jumping up and down. I'm planning to take the IAC out and clean it and clean the throttle body as well. Is there anything else it could be?
  5. Yeah I'll check the cabling. Chris, it's new! I just put it in.
  6. Yeah I know its those lights, from experience sadly. Thing is, when I swapped alt and battery, it was showing 14v and running fine. I'm not sure what went wrong in 2 miles.
  7. Right, got a battery from Halfords, the 005 that everyone uses. Car started just fine, voltmeter showed 14, idled it for a while, seemed fine. Went for a short spin, came back and the voltmeter is now reading 12. Also, these telltale lights have come on. Any idea what's going on?
  8. Thanks Gaz. Was trying to put a voice clip in, didn't mean to make a new thread. Well if it's the battery, I'm still all right. Rather shell out for that than have to redo the starter. I did jump it with a car that has a full up battery, and was idling so that it was charging off the alternator. Would it still not start then?
  9. I'm back. I've just put in a new alternator, and hooked the car up to another to jump start it. It just goes click click click, about two or three clicks per second. The battery is dead, having sat for over two months. These clicks are pretty strong, I can feel them shake the whole car, so I'm sure it isn't just the battery being low. Might be the starter acting up, but I wonder why it would just go like that. I've added a sound file of the clicks if that helps. They were recorded from inside the car, that's how loud they were. 11. Cheers guys, got the shroud off as instructed in the other thread, and then it was easy enough using a breaker bar. Here's the old and new ones together
  12. Yeah I have the lower plastic cover but it's a bit ragged. Managed to remove the upper bolt just fine, as well as the plastic clip connector. The other side was inaccessible, and the shroud and fan was a bit of a chicken and egg (which goes off first?!), so I just went under. Sadly this came to my attention. Oh well. Also, seems strange that there are two separate types of nuts and bolts for upper and lower mounts.
  13. Hello, So I've been under the car to try and undo the lower nut and bolt to hold the alternator. It appears to be rusted solid. Any idea what I could do? Don't have access to a welder, and I can't use a breaker since it's at such an odd angle. I've put a picture in so that you can see what it looks like. I swear it looks like it was manufactured as a single casting.
  14. Yup, turned out to be a loose ground. Checked when the rain stopped, and all seems ok for now. Thanks for the advice, guys.
  15. Literally happened in five minutes, and it's never happened before. I'll check the battery terminals and the footwell. Anything else it could be? EDIT - After a while the alarm / immobiliser LED started flashing again, but when I turned the key it went back to square one.
  16. So I popped into Tesco to tank up, and when I started up, it just went click. No turning over. This happened a couple of times, and then the engine and oil lights completely went out. They came back after a few minutes, and the same clicking again. But no cranking, and then the lights went out again. They haven't come back. Volt meter shows 12v, car was starting fine until now, didn't seem like the starter was on its last legs. One of my aftermarket meters still gets a faint glow so there's some.juice coming through. Any idea what this could be? Worst possible time ever, considering I'm moving house this weekend. Currently sat in the rain waiting for breakdown services.
  17. Hiya Anyone know a decent courier service that'll take seats? Paisley don't do them anymore, unless they're on a pallet, and that's near a hundred quid! Thanks!
  18. Car looked fantastic, mate. Straight out of the factory, to my eyes. Did anyone else pop upstairs to the owners lounge? It's a great view of the straight, and there's free food and drink. All you need is your key.
  19. Thanks keron! Yeah Chris, I thought it would be ABS plastic as well, but never hurts to check. All the ABS plastic I've come across tends to have a slightly different finish, but that's easily changed anyway.
  20. I know that the brown box is the relay or ECU for the aerial. I'm wondering what the cream one is, because it says ABS and SAE on it, but my car doesn't have ABS. Both of these sit on top of the cage I have for an aftermarket double DIN head unit.
