  1. so your statement is i should buy something already knowing ill be in debt with it personally the state of the car i really dont think its worth £2500 im not being rude everyone has there opinion this is just mine it hasnt sold for £2500 despite people saying its worth it i think its worth £1000 and i would happily put my money in his hand now and take it
  2. I like everyone saying its worth £2500 etc!! but have you stumped up the cash ? NO if its worth it then you guys would pay for it to be honest in my view its got rust on most panels looks like rear quarter has been fillered plus the roof rubbers are shot , roof is rusty , boot is rusty etc i would pay £1000 cash and i would pick it up tomorrow will cost about £4000 for all the work to be undertaken and for the car to be in good condition Then if i was going to then sell i would just get my money back so how can it be in this current state be worth £2500 Im not arguing or starting a row im just pretty much stating how it is

  8. hi all i know this proberly has been mentioned many times but i seem to see loads of threads etc but all contain different bits of information and i cant find a thread containing the information from start to finish basicaly i have an auto na supra which has already been converted to r154 manual with an os gliken twin plate clutch i have just purchased a 1jz gte engine and will want to try and fit it soon (i got the complete engine with loom and ecu) just wanted to know if there was any thing else i will need and if anyone knew of any good guides on this swap or give me a little information on any tricky bits or tips etc also do you think i should leave the gb in the car or remove with the na engine and then fit it to the 1jz while out the car many thanks mike
  9. hi all going the 1jz route with my supra , just seeing if anyone here has an engine laying around for sale
  10. i have never had any scratches on any of my own wrapped cars its pretty good and no stone chip issues on a supra if i was going to do one stock would be £1200 base colours if there is aftermarket spoilers skirts lips etc would be £1400 bit more tricky with these also door shuts would add an extra £180 on top of either of the above iv got 2 supras lined up to wrap soon aswell as re wrap mine yellow so ill upload a time laps vid and close up pictures for you guys to see also im based west sussex , http://www.arunsigns.co.uk
  11. right so my supra is silver but iv had it wrapped white and now its purple , the purple is nice but only in the sun so im kind of thinking wrapping it yellow so who has yellow supras on here would like to see how some look at the moment how she sits
  12. welcome i just moved down to bognor regis thought i was the only supra but have met a few others and we have a meet up and get together and go for a drive once a month feel free to tag along there is 5 of us within 10mile radius plus one other white one we know off which sits there and doesnt move lol
  13. Lee_e i will be moving back to bognor regis area unit will be bognor or chichester http://www.wrapitsussex.co.uk and nice hexis is good stuff just be ready to have a heart attack on the price on some of the hx3000 range - hx2000 is a good price though
  14. 3M Gloss Atomic Teal is an amazing colour im changing my purple wrap for this later this year
  15. Only chrome to use is avery its easy to fit if you have done a few chrome wraps and practice with it alot i wouldnt recommend using chrome unless you go on a certified course altho even certified wrappers can mess it up and have to start the panel again from scratch it is tricky on the chrome
  16. Agree! on my supra the door handles i took out but... could not seperate the 2 handle peices unless i drilled the rivit holding them together so i just wrapped with them together not the ideal solution as it would of been like a paint job other wise but the handles is what people spot and know its wrapped
  17. Hi I do vinyl wrapping Hexis Arlon Averysupreme and 3M 1080 use those there the best on the market! Iv wrapped my supra a few times now colour im on at the moment is arlon midnight purple its amazing in certain light and the sun ! mmmmm just doing a new website at the moment as im moving back home to sussex but pics of my wrapped supra is on there http://www.wrapitsussex.co.uk Few pointers 1.Strip the car down as much as possible for best results ie . bumpers and lights out etc, 2.Clean the car before hand NO WAX 3.Clay the car ! (stops the wrap having any small imperfections and tiny spots under it) 4. Use avery supreme surface cleaner or hexis 3 stage cleaner there the best pre wrap cleaners 5. Try to avoid stretching to much with the heat gun the more you do with no heat the better as once stretched and if for instance you cut an tuck and have not shrunk it back to the edge before cutting as soon as your out in the sun it will lift and shrink revealing the colour etc. (i see this alot even with wrap garages who havent been on courses and arent approved fitters) 6.Once complete you MUST post heat the whole car cook it with the heatgun which then resets the memory in the material so it wont go back to its original flat memory 7.Good luck ! hope it goes well
  18. my mates old car i wish i sold my na and bought this ! i love this car one of the best supras iv seen so clean
  19. no no no no no no no Im a vinyl wrapper and i have had alot of people come into me with plasti dipped cars and i felt so sorry for them its a rubber coating its made for tools not cars , if not mixed correctly and spot on it WILL eat through your paint plus it looks horrible and the texture isnt great , i mean i can walk upto a dipped car and just pick it straight off in large peices its applied correctly with the correct amount of coats, then again if its applied incorrectly and not enuff coats then small bits will fall off and break apart then when you wish to remove it well then enjoy a week of picking it of in small peices thats my opinion sorry if anyone doesnt like it ! and im yet to see a plasti dipped car thats lasted 6 months and looks good maybe the product can be good or made better but there is to many people out there giving it a bad name plus cheap knock of vinyl wrappers are now giving wrapping bad names in places I stick to vinyl wrapping as its more secure and colours are better with a good gloss and will also protect your paint . Vinyl wrap will have a chance of pulling of your paint tho if the vehicle / panel has had a spray job , and no little scum bag can pick of the wrap as its always tucked round the panels they wouldnt try because they would most proberly think its painted
  20. Hi all Normally 2 days to do a car door shuts are an extra day , if its a audi r8 or ferrari etc its 3 to 4 days for a colour change as i strip everything down for a seemless finish
  21. hi all im mike i live in hampton west london i joined a while ago havent really posted on here much but i got hold of a auto na supra about 6 months back which has a manual conversion with r154 gb and os gliken clutch car was very very clean inside and out apart from brakes needed doing and 2 small car park dinks got it at a bargin price so cant complain really ( gearbox clutch and a 64k millage replacement was carried out by mike marshal at mnm enginerring so here she is so... my first chance i got i wrapped her in white but..... then i started seeing to many white supras so i had to ditch the white and decided to go for a random colour that i havent seen on a supra with my own eyes so chose a purple once she was stripped i couldnt wait to get the new colour on so gave her a wash and strip down and wrapped her in the new coat and i love the new colour in the shade the car is a plum sort of purple but when the light or sun hits the car its a very nice metalic shine to it my next plans for the car will be fitting the lip , oem replica skirts and spats this week hopefully and wrapping those to suit , then summer time hopefully the engine will be out and engine bay sprayed black and fitting in a 2jz gte engine into the car . i was going to go na-t but thought might aswell do the full swap while i have the clutch and gearbox for it and as i can get the engine from japan at a very reasonable price through a freind of mine and the wheels do not suit the car i need to ditch and change these desperatly but really dont know what wheels to fit as im fussy with wheels , i will also need to get some coilover and fit these when im doing the conversion hope you like and hopefully will see some of you at a few events this year

  23. yes it does !!!! box of nuts and bolts being rattled about at least this is a normal sound i shall now be able to sleep at night i started to get abit worried thanks everyone
