  1. What I said was the side mount isn't better, as it isn't. I did say the side mount would do the job but to say a side mount is better is stupid lol. Front mount will stop the radiator from getting sufficient air emmmmm ok!! I run a front mount on my drift car that sits closer to my rad than on the supra and my water temps never go above 87degrees lol I don't need to search on this forum to find out what's better, and to say people put them on for bling points is ridiculous. Sound like a bunch of old men not accepting change ha ha And lmao at front mounts creating more lag than side mount. Have you ever manually pressurised an intercooler system, I can tell you now that there would be milliseconds in difference between a top mount set up (say subaru) and a front mount. If I do some searching on here I'm gonna find a detailed test of temps before and after of both intercooler setups after a few laps of a circuit?
  2. I wouldn't say it's better to have a smic, if you drive the car hard enough a side mount could be less affective than a front mount. If you just use the car for blasts now and then there wouldn't be much point putting the front mount on as the side mount will suffice.
  3. I've used 2 sandwich plates on my Nissan for 5years with out an issue. Just don't over tighten the shaft in the middle
  4. Mines made 340@the wheels, 386@the fly and 374lbft at 1bar, at 1.2bar it would make around 400@the fly. Pity I have to sell it now
  5. Cheers guys, I was willing to accept careless but they were having none of it. Apparently the judge's kid had been killed by a drunk driver too do that didn't help . Because of the car I was driving And being a car enthusiast I was victimised IMO
  6. Well judge wasn't nice and gave me a harsh 18month ban, £800 fine and I have to do an extended resit. So It is only fair I sell the supra on instead of letting it sit for 18months.
  7. Yip good to meet you guys, hopefully I'll still be driving to the next meet
  8. I have a friendly mot station too lol In the uk imports go through a non cat test if they are registered before July 95.
  9. Take the first cat out and only put the second cat in once a year. A lot easier that way, should only take 30mins.
  10. The reason the angle is important is to stop moisture laying in it. Even on its side the moisture can still collect.
  11. The car will prob not start and will cause serious damage cranking let alone driving with 850cc injectors on a stock map.
  12. I think being in the downpipe on the r32 is still better than being in the turbo elbow of say an sr20det or an evo, subaru etc. r32 will never generate as much heat as a turbo elbow that can get as hot as 800c lol
  13. It is recommended to have it fitted a minimum of 30" from exhaust ports Aem recommend 18" or 36" on turbocharged cars http://www.aemelectronics.com/Images/Products/Installation%20Instructions%2030-4100.pdf
  14. Wideband Sensors apparently can't handle as much heat as the narrowband, so there always fitted further away from the turbo.
  15. From a thread where a guy is installing an aem one. UPDATE Some issues with running this setup have been brought to my attention: - Having the WBo2 in the O2 housing will reduce its life - The NB output of the UEGO to the ECU runs kind of funky because it doesn't cycle correctly. - The UEGO should be grounded to the ECU. There have been some issues with properly grounding the UEGO. I chose to use the cigarette lighter ground if I have issues later I may change it to the O2 sensor ground instead.
  16. Modern cars that run them are specifically designed for them. It was from innovate themselves I read it about 5yrs ago when I was thinking of doing the same thing. But doubt it if you like lol
  17. I've heard lots of stories that the Standard O2 sensors are far superior compared to a gauge that changes 0-5v into 0-1v. The standard O2 will react a lot quicker and keep fueling the way it should when cruising etc but the output from the gauge has to be processed so might react a little slower meaning you might get hesitation, stumbling, worse fuel consumption. Just weld the other bung in further down and leave the standard O2.
  18. I didn't believe his timing was out but he didn't state of there was fuel at the rail or in the cylinders so it was a suggestion to see if it's just the injectors ain't firing. I had this issue when for some reason my ign feedback wire had broke, it would get one pulse then nothing.
  19. Try spraying easy start in the intake and see if it runs.
  20. It won't matter which one you fit, you'll never use 90amps let alone 110
  21. Does it not have separate height adjustment like hsd's Hsd's have adjustable spring preload by tightening the spring and loosening the spring and ride height is done by another collar near the base which you turn the whole base in order to lower/raise the car without compromising spring preload and dampening travel.
  22. You'll be lucky to find something to block the hks adapter if it's welded to an intercooler pipe etc
