Hey guys, Was considering purchasing a front strut brace, but after reading was wondering whether there would be enough clearance for closing the bonnet? I have the standard supra mk4 bonnet, but wanted to make sure if I put the strut on, would it be quite close to the bonnet or be hard to close? Also do they really do anything for the car, performance wise or are they just for show? Regards Ash

Hey guys, Looking for someone local who can weld up two areas on the supra underbody that holds the propshaft in place. Just need the two holes welded up. Anyone know of anyone that can undertake this work in the Berkshire area? Regards Ashley
-
Also, any advice I could give to my garage in terms of welding it. Is it a hard job?
-
If I can't get it welded at the moment is it safe to drive?
-
Hey guys, Had my clutch replaced today and we noticed some one had slightly modified the propshaft bearing mount. By the looks of it to access bolts. Now is this ok to drive as it is. I have hammerite to prevent rust build up. Or is there any way to weld up the area? Any advise is appreciated. Regards Ash

Hey guys, Just wondered what the original supra MK4 bonnets are worth these days? What could I expect to get for one money wise? Also anyone interested in my white original bonnet, as I am considering an aftermarket FRP one? Regards Ash
-
Hey guys, Anyone know where I can get the black insulation that fits to the underside of the bonnet? As my bonnet gets pretty hot without it and you can see the steam come off it when it's raining due to the amount of heat. Any help Is appreciated Regards Ash

Looks good mate. Work wise though, I've had the same sort of issues with new supra. Purchased it back in March and it's still having things sorted out now at my local garage. Bought it for £4000 and probably put another £11000 into it to completely restore it and make it showroom condition. Not far off now, just had a complete respray and now just getting a minor leak fixed and new clutch/flywheel fitted. Should have it back by November lol.

By the way it's an NA she'll with a TT LSD custom fitted onto it. Not sure that makes a difference? Also not sure I'm describing it we'll, but it's the large bolt that runs through the middle of the LSD on the right side. Forgotten the name. Believe it's the right diff mount.
-
We'll not sure the name of the bolt that runs all the way through to secure it, but Horsham developments pointed it out. I was told by Whifbitz it's nothing to worry about. It's all secure, but apparently the fitting bolt that runs through on the right side could cost £150. Seems a lot.

Hey guys, Got my supra in the garage at the moment and pretty much having everything thoroughly checked over and have gearbox leak, alignment and new clutch plus flywheel done. Although I thought I'd just ask a question in regards to the lsd fitted. Basically had an LSD fitted to my supra by Whifbitz a while back, which was custom fitted to my 5 speed Tt supra. But noticed that the LSD is fitted with just the one LSD bolt. Although another can be fitted on the right side. I have been told that this is fine for my setup. But just wondered what you guys thought and would it be worth fitting the right side as we'll at some stage? Any advise appreciated. Regards Ash

How do I go about ordering mate?
-
Hey bud, can I order all of the above, cam seals, bolts etc. how many cam seals will I need for the car? Also are they relatively easy to all fit?
-
Sorry bud, it's a 5 speed w58 manual twin turbo 1993. What's the pricing mate for the seals?

Hey Guys, Got my supra in the garage at the moment have wheel alignment sorted and gearbox leak fixed up. Wanna get the car perfect so thinking that I may just get as many seals sorted as possible. So just wondering where I might be able to get a supra mk4 Tt cam cover gasket kit with new bolts to secure. And what seals can I replace inside the gearbox area and where can I get them from? Already got the main seal for gearbox. Regards Ash
-
Hey guys, finally back from horsham developments. Wheel alignment yet again got set back a couple of bolts have seized We did however find the cause of the leak, which turned out to be seeping from the gearbox area. Very minor, but gonna get both seals inside replaced. Also engine oils was checked and it was fine although maybe tiny bit over full. I've now left it with Horsham developments who are going to order in the correct bolts and two new toe arms and repair the oil leak. Seems like one issue after another with this car. Barely driven it so far as it keeps having to go back to the garage

Cheers guys. If I need a new cam cover gasket. Where's the best place to order? I have heard that if I'm replacing the cover gaskets, new bolts and bolt seals are needed, to tighten it down better? Would it be best to order as a set through Toyota?
-
Ok mate, I'm going over to Jez at Horsham developments tomorrow morning, so will see if he can pin point anything. In the mean time though I'm guessing it's still ok to drive round in?
-
Hey guys, Seem like one issue after another at the moment with the new supra. Just got it back from the bodyshop today and back onto the driveway. Had a brief look underneath the car and noticed a small drop of oil on the ground no bigger than a 10 pence coin. It was fresh and a see through brown color, which seemed to be located just a little further back than the rear of the engine. Any ideas what this might be? Could it possibly be the driveshaft or gearbox? Also seeing as it's a minute leak, will it be ok to drive round in, for the time being? Car runs fantastic and boosts perfectly. Was all restored recently by Whifbitz and I believe majority of seals etc were replaced. And most piping was renewed, pretty much all connections replaced. So a bit stumped on what might be the cause. Any help is appreciated Regards Ash

Help identifying bottle attached to front bumper?
supra_24 replied to supra_24's topic in Supra Chat
I think it was just a previous expansion tank/washer bottle as it did look as though it hadn't been used in a long time. Not too bothered by it, but did remove it from the old bumper anyway. Can't wait to see the finished car today, should look amazing with the new kit and spoiler -
Help identifying bottle attached to front bumper?

Don't believe so. Your talking about the coolant reservoir tank right. As I have a stainless steel one that links straight from the radiator, which is sat just to the right of the radiator? -
Hey guys, My supra is currently at the body shop having a new kit put on. When they took off the original supra bumper the other day, we discovered a small plastic bottle, which looked as though it had been stuck onto the rear of the front bumper using some kind of black mesh. Looked like small washer bottle. They assured me they hadn't disconnected anything when removing the bumper, so we assumed it must have been used in a past setup with the car. It did look pretty dirty and seemed to have dirty rain water in it. Anyone know what this plastic bottle may be and is it something I need to keep hold of? I would Assume the actual washer bottle is located further back and not attached to the front bumper? Regards Ash

Cheers mate, appreciate that. 30psi or around that was what I had in mind as first thoughts.
-
Hey guys, just a quick one regarding some new alloys/tyres I purchased for my supra. Looking to find out what the recommended tyre psi would be for front and rear? Tyres are Falcon 245/35x18inch Front & 295/30x18inch Rear. Any advise would be appreciated. Regards Ash

The car is not na its a na shell with tt engine, w58 hence stage 3 clutch. Seems recommended for this setup.
