Hi guys, Just got back from holiday and am looking to contact Garage Whifbitz London branch to speak to Darren about my Supra, which they have been working on for the last 2 months. Anyone have the direct number for the London branch? As Paul is away on holiday at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Ashley

Hi guys, I have just ordered my JDL body kit and have also found some alloys I really like, Konig Milligram Matte Black. However I just wondered whether they would look alright with this body kit? Specs of alloys are listed here: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/konig/milligram/matt-black/18-inch You can get them 10j rear and 9j front. The ones on the site are 9.5J rear and 8.5 front. Heres the new JDl body kit: Any advice is appreciated Thanks again. Regards Ash

Supra almost finished at Whifbitz. Advice on Alloys to fit bodykit?

It will be fitted properly by a body shop called body-tone in Bracknell. They did my s15 body kit and ot looked amazing. However to fit all the kit and spoiler and spray them, they have quoted £1500, which i thought was a bit steep. -

Supra almost finished at Whifbitz. Advice on Alloys to fit bodykit?

Cheers guys, but I kinda like the body kit. I did the same with my Nissan Silvia S15. Everyone wanted me to go stock bumper etc, but I liked the aggressive look and when people actually saw it in person they agreed it did look quite nice. If we all went for the same stock look on our Supras, it would be pretty boring. Just need to know wheel specs really. I mean whats the usual rear wheel width size and front wheel width size and there offsets? -
Hey guys, Its been a while since I have posted on here. Been pretty busy over the last few weeks trying to sort out the Supra at Whifbitz and sell my Nissan Silvia S15. Finally having sold my S15 last Saturday, I am now ready to purchase additonal parts needed for the Supra, which is almost ready to go after being at Whifbitz for the last 2 months lol. I will be fitting a brand new bodykit to the Supra and the car will also be resprayed in white again. I was originally going to fit a GT300 bodykit, but then had a rethink as it may make the car a bit unfriendly on the roads being that wide. Therefore I have decided to go for the JDL Supra bodykit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150683301638?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 The only issue I have now is purchasing some alloys that will suit the bodykit. I need to know the width and offsets for fronts and rears? Not looking to spend too much on alloys as I am on a budget. But around £800-£1000 would be nice. I was looking into some black Rota alloys. But any other makes in that colour would be good too. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards Ash

Cheers buddy. The HKS induction kit is different to the last one I used, so I wasnt sure. Thanks for the advice

hey guys, just got a HKS super flow induction kit with HKS filter installed about a month ago. Been great so far. However today when I went to open my bonnet to check the washer fluid, some water stuck in the bonnet vents splashed over half the HKS filter So just wondered whether I should let this dry off naturally (and for how long) using this particular HKS filter, or is it ok to still start the S15 up? Any advice as usual is appreciated Regards Ash

Mate your in Berkshire correct? Have you heard of a bodyshop called Body Tone? Its located on London road in Binfield, Bracknell. I had my Nissan Silvia S15 body kit fitted there and sprayed. They charged £150 or just under to prep, spray and fit the front bumper. Really good prices and they did an excellent job. Here's there website: http://www.bodytone.co.uk/ Speak to Tony and he will be able to give you a decent quote Regards Ash

Whifbitz in London mate, as its the closest to me

Cheers guys, will be paying membership next week thursday when I get paid again, thats a promise Also quick update. The car is being transported to Whifbitz either tomorrow or Thursday this week, so that they can investigate and start work on it Been in talks with Paul at Whifbitz and he reckons it sounds worse than it is and that most of the issues listed should be simple fixes. Touch wood.

Cheers buddy, that puts my mind at ease. At least now i know the issues can be resolved without spending too much more than my given budget. Also i really do appreciate all the help offered so far by you guys. I will definitely be in contact for advice with the supra. I assure you though that i am going ahead with this project now and this car will be made road worthy by years end

Cheers mate. I have sent an email off to SRD now as well. The more quotes the better

Cheers guys, appreciate your help. What i will do, is see what whifbifz have to say and then get back to you guys on this. Only issue is i don't really have the space at my parents house to undertake the work
-
The car starts and runs. So that's one good thing i guess. My budget at the moment is £3000 as that's what i have put to one side. I could possibly however increase slightly if need be. Im gonna now wait for whifbitz to get back to me with an estimate and then go from there Oh and im based in Bracknell, but the supra is currently with Horsham developments in chievely, 30mins away.

They guy i got it from was Mark Cartwright, who was a member on here and purchased it from someone on here. It was then involved in an accident where the car was rolled. The engine was then transffered over to a new shell. I was aware of this prior to purchasing and did check it over throughly. But evidentally not enough. Unfortunately I dont really have much experience in mechanics, that was why I was arranging for my garage to help restore it. What would you advise as the next steps fo this car? I could ship it over to Whifbits dependant on cost or I could sell it on?
-
Here's the images of the car and its engine. Sorry for the confusuion guys. The car is a J-Spec shell with brakes and the rest J-Spec. I do believe however that the engine is UK spec, not 100% sure atm. Its running 382bhp. I have just spoken to whifbitz as well and they said I could email them all the issues and they could then advise on a cost overall. Otherwise I would have to sell it on as a shell or something?
-
Hey buddy, Its a UK spec Twin turbo 1994. Around 70,000miles. Manual W58 5 speed with stage 3 clutch. I currently had £3000 to one side to put towards restoration. Would it be advisable to aquire a refurbished engine instead?

Hey guys, As you may know, I have recently purchased a Toyota Supra off of a fellow member on here, which I had planned to restore. Now I knew the car had afew issues that needed fixing and was willing to pay out a bit to restore it. I even went through with the previous owner all of the faults with the car prior to purchase and documentation. After paying for the car and having it sent to Horsham Developments, they have now sent me a very large list of issues with the car and that there are so many, they do not want to take on the project at all So i wondered what options do I have with this car now? Its in good condition body wise, but engines and gearbox seals need sorting. What would you guys advise, as I paid £4000 for this project and am now left with nothing by the sounds of it? Would a new engine be a way out? Any help would be appreciated and heres the email list of things found wrong with the car below: - Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We’ve had a look at the car and I’m afraid that there are a larger number of things that need to be repaired: Oil cooler is mounted with cable ties – needs to be fixed properly Oil cooler pipe work leaking Front brake disks need replacing Front brake callipers need a rebuild (leaking) Front anti roll bar link faulty Intercooler is damaged (not sure if its leaking or not) Intercooler pipe work need replacing Air conditioning hose hanging off Turbo oil feed pipe fitted incorrectly Various engine oil leaks Oil leak on gearbox bell housing Gearbox oil leak from centre section Gearbox oil leak from propshaft seal Rear callipers need a rebuild Rear brake disks need replacing All of the interior electrics do not work Engine has a misfire Near side front lower arm ball joint needs replacing (split rubber) I’m sure other faults would become apparent if we investigated further I’m very sorry but due to the large number of faults and previous work, I don’t want to take on this project. The main reason for this is that I think if we did everything to an acceptable standard it would go over your budget as repairing cars like this is extremely time consuming. Also, we don’t work on Supras frequently which means that getting hold of parts, wiring information etc is going to be difficult as I do not have the same range of contacts as I do for Nissans. I’m sorry to let you down like this – give me a call if you’d like to discuss further. Thanks in advance. Ash

Hey guys, Maybe another silly question from me, but I love my cars to bits. I was out an about today giving the S15 a bit of a run and I shifted a few times from 1st to 2nd at 5000rpm or just over. Is this a resonable rpm to change in 1st, if your giving it the beans and can the cars engine take it? (I assume these engines can handle these high rpm's in low gears) Would this also be a reasonable rpm to shift from 1st to 2nd in a supra, if your looking to get up to speed quickly? Or what do you guys shift at when you race about? Any advice would be appreciated. Im a bit of a worrier when it comes to my cars lol Thanks again guys. Regards Ash
