You didn't look anything up before buying it?

The only TT I've ever driven (my own) has 264s, and from what I've read it's pretty much what Ian said, it doesn't run out of puff at higher RPMs. Carries the power through to the redline, it's just BPU & adjustable cam gears otherwise.

Well, dash came out, re-wired the speedo converter (as it was a new dashboard) and I'm still getting it, although it's less common. It's only when I'm braking from shall we say, higher speeds that it happens. I'm sticking to just not doing higher speeds at the minute just in case.

Only had mine dyno'd with dodgy turbos, so I'd be up for a dyno day too. It's NA-TT if that counts!

Is there a *good* reason we can't use an R153 box from an MR2 or GT4? Surely it can't be much more work than an R154, holds more than a W58 and has similar ratios.

Marginally, I'm sure I'll be put to shame by pretty much everyone anyway as I've never done a 1/4 mile drag before I'll just pretend I'm trying to pull out of my estate at rush hour or something...

Then you could put in those electronic supercharger fans into your intake for another 500 or so bhp. The limitless potential!

The DSBC is a wonderful bit of kit. Looks good, fits with the age of the car without looking outdated, too.

I think you'd get a bit more than 5k for it, being as I've seen auto NA-TTs go for 5+ that require some work

I got very close to selling mine when it broke down *again* the other week. I was almost dead set on it until I got it back up and running today. I took it out for a spin, got on to a bit of boost and came to the conclusion that nothing else would put as much of a grin on my face -
