  1. So not camshaft sensor? Also, in the 3 or 4 years of ownership of the car, it has had q cone fitted in place of the stock box by previous owner. The air temperature sensor has never been plugged in, it's just sitting there in the bay. And never caused an issue, but saying that, I think it would be wise to go back to a stock one
  2. Thanks dave, I found these fault codes, bit as I say, doesn't mean a lot to me :-/ Also wondered why it says ecu in all of them, that isn't saying I have an ecu problem too is it?
  3. Good moaning all. Been having some trouble for some time now. Car wouldn't start, when it did it was idling fine, but as soon as touching the pedal, it coughed, spluttered and farted until it cut out. I found the ignition coil was weak and sparked as and when it wanted, no engine light came on at all. So, replaced it this week, still not solved the problem. But, two codes finally came up. These are 12 and 24, I've looked them up (not that they make much sense to someone with no mechanical experience at all, unless mechano as a kid counts), Just wondering if what these codes are pointing to would be the cause and need replacing? Cheers guys
  4. Thanks pal, second one is water temp sensor
  5. Wanting a camshaft sensor (and probably a crankshaft sensor), faster than shipping from the US or JAPAN but as cheap as possible. No, I'm not tight, it's just there's only one very small wage coming into the house at the moment and no help from anywhere else and money is extremely limited. And I'm fed up of having a nice car as an ornament for my driveway (for at least 7 months now). Any help would be grateful. Thanks in advance
  6. Opie oils? That's who does a full service pack? Looking at prices for service parts separately costs more than an actual full service as I seem to have found. Just having a little financial trouble as my measley wage is all we live on at the moment since the other half lost her job. Would like to save money but not buy cheap and nasty as you find online a lot ie ebay etc
  7. Cheers guys, think a full service is in order. At least that way rules easy stuff out, and a coil. Apparently there's a guy on forum that does a service pack at a good price, anyone know who this guy is?
  8. Look fine mate, had belts done day one, only done a few thousand in three years. But... It's really ready for a full service
  9. checked this And this - - - Updated - - - Also dizzy seems like brand new inside
  10. Cheers buddy, found it as you where probably writing this. Checked fuel pipes connected to injectors, both firing fuel out
  11. Also, can someone point me as to where fuel filter is pkease?
  12. If I wanted to remove plenum etc am I going to need new gaskets etc?
  13. Would the timing be out if I had it done 3 years ago and done about 2000 miles?
  14. Ignore the loud banging that's a neighbour
  15. Hi guys, just been out in supra for first time in months, pit battery in, ran fine, gears seem to be working as should finally after months of trying to resolve problem. Car ran fine for an hour or so. Then this:
  16. Ermmm... Yeah, a hell of a lot cheaper! Thanks for that buddy. Great help!
  17. Well ermmm, pretty much as per title really. Could do with some spark plugs too, car has been stood a long while due to my still ongoing gearbox problem that I just can't seem to be able to resolve. But starting the car for the first time in month, it's idling pretty rough and struggling to even start. Looking around at the engine bay, and previous parts I've replaced, it's looking more and more as if the car hasn't had any new bits on it since it was built in 1993
  18. Compared to what my friends are paying for a full spray job..... That's a few grand more... So nah, not that good a price. I love my car but would never willingly pay 4 times what it cost me to buy it to have it sprayed standard toyota red at all I don't care what anyone says.... That's a laugh of a price price to keep it the colour it is but to look a bit more fresh
  19. Haha it was!!! Yeah I know about the paint That's why I mentioned the needing a spray job at the beginning, the guy who had it and meant to be working on it wanted 4k to keep it same red.... I wasn't too pleased with that amount
