jason - i think this can be done by any COMPETENT mechanic. there is nothing like the safety of having the likes of leon or cw or anyone else that is supe-specific but if you really need a fairly good albeit 'normal' mechanic in london (north) - gimme a shout and i will hook you up mate.

funny but i have always been worried about having the trd style bonnet and the issue of water ingress. but to be fair, thus far and a fair few months - no problems so far on anything. maybe i shouldn't tempt fate eh ?

yep - that boy is da bomb at da tech stuff !! gerry - if i may suggest, it may not be a bad idea to also talk to people who have these mods done to their car so you can get a first-hand (altho sometimes biased) idea of the differences. in addition, just trolling through all the posts sometimes can get you some good info. the fianl thought is to have a chat with the tuners as well for their thoughts. just my 2P ...
