yeah - i guess i did kinda ask for it ! thanks for your thoughts matt but i am guessing (only!) on mine that it is body panels or the chasis that is making noise - is there any cure for this ? or could this NOT possibly be the case at all ?

ash - am truly gutted for you to have this happen. wrong things happening to the wrong people and all that ... i've been in jason's several times and it did pull quite strongly and without problems (remember a certain night on the M1 J ?) so am surprised it fell apart so quickly. guess it must be dumb luck then. all the best ash in whatever route you choose ... paul - good on you mate for offering your help .... not many would i'm guessing.

had this question asked of me recently and didn't know the answer so hence this post. as we all know, a fair few of the cars on this board are between 5 and 10 years old and creakiness (sorry but don't know the tech speak for this) tends to set in with older cars. is there any way to combat this to make give it that tighter (hope you know what i mean) feeling, more well-srewed together sense etc etc ? any thoughts are appreciated ...
