    Quick vs powerful

Iv'e got a single turbo supra and a 200 sx. A couple of days ago I decided to try out my my supra on some good 'B' roads aroubd west Kent. I'd alraady done these roads a few times in the 200 and thought it only right to do the same in my supra! The result? Supra much quicker all round.,.. but any car coming the other way and any pot holes, big bumps meant I had to drive like an old granny! All in all I enjoyed driving the the 200 around these narrow roads the most. It was smaller slower and I wasnt so worried about scratching the paintwork on the verges!. Ive also driven a standard 2005 imprezza sti around some 'B 'roads and Thoroughly enjoyed myself. It rolled its way arounds the bends with ease. The thing about the scooby is the visibility and driving position, they are great!. To get the same buzz from the supra requires scary speeds! The soop goes around corners with ease stops well and 100 leptons is just criusing. But it it's not to be pushed at all in the wet! If you want to go around the bends tucked into the corners on iffy 'B' road surfaces then stick to compact 4x4 maybe a gt4!
  8. I've booked for the Saturday! It does seem a little strange that there are so few peeps up for this.!

Nice to see Robbie's car out and about Thanks Peter. It was good at long last to get out on the road:D . It will have been 3 years this month!!! I counted 20+ supes at one point! I think the overall quality of peoples cars was very high
  12. Done the search John and all that. Im still at a loss to find where all the extra weight is? We know about : Seats Tranny coolers (auto) Lights- Thanks Supro Diff cooler Wheels Brakes ?
  13. Im trying to find out exactly where the extra weight comes from on the UK-spec cars in comparison to the J-spec tt's I know its got leather seats all round unlike many J-specs and a diff/tranny cooler and a bonnet scoop, but I cant see where the 75-100kg's come from.(Not including me!) What are the differences in these weight wise? I dont suppose anyone's Know's ? Thanks.
  14. Many thanks! Dont suppose you know the part No?
  15. I've decided to replace the oil pump, oil pump housing and all the gubbins associated with it. Could anybody help me with all the parts and part numbers I'll need! Thanks¬!
  16. Dave The sumo car engine was built by Gary at GT art....and Gary's car won the santapod jap show final in Oct. Has anyone here got any personal experience with the other tuners? I think in the end its always best to get some references first from the tuners. Ask them about other cars with the level of work your friend wants as examples!
  17. Gt-ART all the way. They're just by Lewes. My supra gets its work done there. If youre after engine work youre not going to get any better in Kent IMO. Tel. 01273675775
  18. A nice red J'spec supra parked out the back of Tonbridge station this morning?
  19. HMMM. DOESN'T SOUND TOO BAD. Worth the risk me thinks!
  20. Im was just wondering if anybody has been caught or stopped by the police for having no cats on the car?
  21. Thanks for that Colsoop. I'm thinking Envys front discs look a good price.
  22. Can anybody tell the specs for: A: New side light bulbs on my UK spec car. B: Front windscreen wipers C: My ABS light doesn't work....Where is it supposed to be on the dash??? :tomato: and D: My front brakes aren't all that good at doing the fast stopping thing! They had one track session and that wiped them out They were purchased from TDI with 6 grooves in them. Should I stick with standard ones????? Could someone get me some new UK spec discs and good pads delivered for the beginning of next weekand at what price????? E:How much for a good mid level suspension (road spec) setup? I had a basic style tein setup put on but the car now bounces around to the point its unsafe... Conclusion was ....It's Sh#te! I dont want to put on my original t standard UK spec suspension. Its old and worn out. Cheers.
  23. Oops.I thought he was refering to the oil pump itself!.
