I need to buy a Fuel Pump asap, as I'm looking to get my BPU setup up and ready by next week. I just had a question about the Fuel Pump. I am currently set on getting a Walbro 400lph. Is this overkill for a BPU car? I read that it is generally recommended for cars with about 450bhp and up. With BPU I think I should be just under that. If its too much what should I get? Walbro 255 ? I will eventually probably go to a smaller single, but the plan as of right now is run on the stock twins in TTC mode. Also will the pump be a straight drop in? or any mods needed to be done?

DO-LUCK or Top Secret side skirt with RIDOX front end?

I have decided to go with my OEM JDM sides. They look pretty much like Rdox anyways without the center piece. -
DO-LUCK or Top Secret side skirt with RIDOX front end?

I have a Ridox front end bumper, and rear OEM JDM spats. I don't have any sides right now as I just removed my previous ones. I do have a set of OEM JDM sides as well but I think they look a little too plain for me, and I don't like his they cut off in the middle. I had them on my previous 2 Supra's and I wanted to change it up. So I was thinking of getting some DO-LUCK sides or possibley Top Secret. I think DO-LUCK would fit the ridox combo a little better? what do you guys think, I need to get some asap as my body guy is waiting on me.

Thanks, those are 19" Volk GTV 19X10.5 rear And they don't look bad but without them the rear tires are more exposed and I like that look. but if there is a high risk of messing the paint up I think I'd just skip doing it.

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/6459/img20120801211320.jpg I'm talking about those ^ I'd like to remove them but I'm worried that it will be completely filthy underneath or something going on. From what I understand they are held there with some thick double sided kind of tape? Well I would like to remove them since I will be fitting a diffuser soon, but I don't want to repaint both fenders. If I had to I'd just leave them.

Well after trying to pull them out that didn't really work, so had to crack around the plastic around the bolt and pull it over to get this kid off. What a pain in the add. These sides are fiberglass or plastic? Along the sides ther is some big nasty cracks which need to be fixed.

Actually only one of them had this rubber plug, the rest are just some rusty bolts going right through the skirt bolted right on the car.
-
Looks like mine wasn't as easy as yours came out They are just about off they have already seperated from the body, just those 4 bolts from the bottom are holding it in place. But I only tried one side, hopefully the other side will be easier. I will take up some of the ideas in here... I tried screwing the bolts out with a screw driver, also a high powered electrical one.. but it looks like I'll just need something to pull them out... will start with pliers and go from there.

I can't figure it out. I unbolbed them from the front and back and then pried them back. Then I jacked the car up and it was bolted with approx 8 bolts from the bottom. I was able to get the ones out on the front and rear section, but there is 4 going along the middle section which I cannot remove. They will spin round and round but won't go down. Anyone has removed or installed these OEM JDM sides? I just can't get those 4 center bolts on the bottom end out.. I was just prying it back and all that but didn't do anything. Just don't want to damage or crack them. I know the top end was glued on but it was easy to pry it back... on the bottom is it also like that? but that doesn't explain why I can't get those bolts out!! what should I do.

I do plan to go single in the near future so I'm not going to touch the injectors while I'm at BPU. And the power difference between 1.1 (16psi) and 1.2 bar (17.4psi) is quite minimal ? I may just stick around 1.1 to be on the safer end.

Oh yes, I already got a machine shop to make me one of those based off an exhaust gasket with the 2" hole through the middle. - - - Updated - - - Oh yes, I already got a machine shop to make me one of those based off an exhaust gasket with the 2" hole through the middle.

This is how my car currently sits: ARC intercooler with greddy bov on piping HKS intake 3" exhaust HKS boost controller I just purchased: Walbro 400lph fuel pump midpipe and top decat pipe (both 3" to elimate the whole cat) AEM wideband AEM turbo gauge HKS fuel cut defender Also will go with a higher grade spark plugs and some new oil... I just wanted to do everything at once. Anything else recommend to get for my BPU setup? I do plan on running it up to around 1.2bar and in TTC so want to make sure everything will be running healthy.

problem getting the car started, spark plugs or starter?
RB-GTE replied to RB-GTE's topic in mkiv Technical
Well after I got it started well today I did take it for a spin around and ran just as it should, before all of this I DID put a new battery in actually. but then when I parked the car for a couple of hours and the engine cooled I was having this problems like I described that it has a little hard time starting. -
So the car has been sitting for a few months just been started up here and there to be moved. When I turn the key the car sometimes won't turn over, there will just be a CLICK sound, nothing basically happens. So it may take a few tries before the car starts to to turn over but its just struggling to start. It will barely start and somtimes won't hold and idle and will just die. So I have to keep my foot down on the gas and keeping revving it for about a minute, and then the car will actually stay on. Once it runs for 15 minutes or so and warms up, the idle will rise to about 900 and runs as it should. Does this sound like spark plugs? or possibley something is up with the starter?

Is this an HKS Ti replica or real? (video and pictures)
RB-GTE replied to RB-GTE's topic in Supra Chat
But it is the same or similar design? that's what I'm mostly trying to figure out.. if its based off something or just something random. -

Yeah I am certain its a copy because the piping doesn't look 4" to me. Maybe 3.5" at most. -

RB-GTE replied to RB-GTE's topic in Supra Chat
This car arrived straight from Japan very recently, and from what it looks like this exhaust has been used sometime. So with all the options in Japan don't think it would be a whifbitz? there is no markings on the exhaust so I'll jus take it that's it is a HKS Ti replica? or copied from this design? -
This Supra I got came with this exhaust. I knew the sound was similar so I search up videos of the HKS Ti on BPU cars on sounded about the same? This is the full exhaust (with stock cat), the car is pretty much stock as well. So is this some kind of HKS Ti replica? just trying to figure out what it could be... but it does sound good in person the supra you see in the background is bone stock with BLITZ Nur Spec, which seemed significantly quieter at idle or higher RPM. Here are pictures of it on the car: http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7126/img20120727235508.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7394/img20120727235513.jpg

So would I. There was a big thread of this car over on the US supraforums but I can't seem to find it. I believe it was some kind of Lexus colour. -

I currently have 19" Volk GT-V Ridox front end and JDM rear spats Will be installing OEM JDM sides and TRD wing to go along with this. I'm expecting it to look similar to the one 3rd picture from the bottom. Just not sure what gray to go with yet. I have been going back and forth on a lot of them.
