  1. Sorry for the noob question but I've never had a boost controller in any of my cars, and just bought a Supra which has an HKS EVC Electric Boost Controller hooked up. It looks just like in the picture below, so I'm wondering what buttons do what, such as raising or lowering the boost and such. I just don't want to mess anything up once I get playing with it!
  2. Just bought this Supra which I will not see in person for quite sometime! while I wait I wanted to figure out some of the mods it may have, because the only info I could get is by looking visually. I'm trying to figure out the brand name of this rear wing, what kind of exhaust that could possibley be, and the exact name for this paint? is it gunmetal ? and a side question, coilcover suspension color from the top is a yellow'ish/gold .. any idea what kind of brand this could be? cheers! http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/6948/76209649.jpg http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/9712/18943335.jpg
  3. I was actually just about to order the HKS Fuel Cut Defender... but I've also read that it might be better to have a Boost Cut Controller? which do you guys think is better? I'm not sure which to go with now.
  4. I've had a fewTT 6-speed Supra's.. the most for mods was just intake, intercooler, and exhaust. I've never done the full decat and experienced anything past 0.7bar. I'm just wondering once you do all the BPU mods or even go into TTC mode, and pushing about 100bhp or so over stock... does it pull much harder vs stock and is it noticeable. I find the stock TT 6-speed very quick but not exactly that fast. Well.. I hope to be blown away once I do all my BPU mods
  5. hmm that's strange, I do find that the snow control kicks in quite often for me, not all the time but it does. If I remove the fuse will this make the warning light go up on the dash?
  6. very nice soup! I just bought a 02/1997 RZ-S 6-speed in this same gunmetal color. What month was yours made in? My previous one was a White 03/1997 RZ-S as well.
  7. I just got myself a 02/1997 Series 2 TT6 Supra, which has the traction/snow control feature... which I find highly annoying and completely useless. Even though if I drive with the traction control switched off, if lets say I go around a corner hard or even launch my car the snow control sometimes kicks in. It was like this in my previous Series 2 Supra as well. Can I simply just unplug something to disable this stuff?
  8. please post many pictures! it looks great!
  9. That white looks very fresh, is that 040 OEM white?
  10. I have owned an alphine silver supra, black, and white. I've also seen some Red ones around. I really like white, it looks nice and clean... but I really like RSP as well. For my next car which I'm making into a project I'm trying to decide on which color to go with. So what do you think looks better on a Supra, RSP or white? RSP would definetley be more unique so thats what interests me in it the most... have something different. With white it shows the lines of the car at night and during daytime but with a darker color at night not so much The car would have the ridox front end also JDM sides, some examples below! http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/8550/x4x4.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/7396/x3x3u.jpg http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/2263/55732405.jpg http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/9341/4iuzcwb6lua4jzkedptrxzoq.jpg http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/4176/blusupside2.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/640/x2x2.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/1672/x1x1.jpg http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/2675/suprabodykitmkfront1.jpg I have also been thinking about some nice gray color, but I'm thinking I'd prefer either white or RSP over it http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/2360/img4268medium.jpg
  11. Yeah the more I think about it 155k is a lot compared to other Supra's. If you scim the Japanese auctions or the majority of Supra's are here for sale they have around 80 - 120k on average. Mine originally came from Japanese auction a while back. It was a grade 4 no accident and grade b interior, it got the highest grading possible for the age and mileage. It's a bone stock car other than suspension and exhaust. I want one that I could keep for a while, I'm thinking of finding something with less than 100k on the clock. It's not that hard to check if its genuine mileage, the Japanese regrestration certificate can usually lead you to that answer.
  12. The engine isn't my concern My concern is more to do with the tranmission and the rest of the car
  13. My mate wants to buy it off me, and I would just need to pay and extra 2k to get myself a lower mileage nice series 2 I think I'm gonna let her go. When I have some DOUBT about the I know its not for me.
  14. I got a pretty good deal on this Supra so without much thinking I bought it. It's a 1993 TT 6-speed with 155,000 KMs (96,000 miles) I have previously owned a 95 NA-TT and a Series 2 1997 RZ-S TT6. The main goal is to upgrade to a smaller single turbo setup around 500-550bhp, and be used as a daily driver. But the only thing that is scaring me away to invest my time and money into this car is the mileage. I do have the funds right now to go out and buy a Series 2 1996/1997 (this is what I truely want, the pre-VVTI setup)... but I'm not sure what I would really gain. I'm not sure if I should sell my current Supra off or not. If I did buy another one it would be below 100,000 KM which should be easy to find. thoughts?
  15. My 1997 TT 6-speed was parked at a friends house outside for 6 weeks, it was only fired up once to move it. Battery was dead, so I just hooked the jump cables up, and all the power was on... but when I try starting the car it will be cranking but there really isn't much of signs of it starting. When I first tried starting it jumped to 400 but every other time nothing happened. So I am wondering if there is any fuses I can pull to get the car started. Maybe some fuel pump fuse or something? If so exactly which one is it? I'll be heading back tomorrow to try start it again. I was out the country for a while so needed it stored at a friends property.
  16. When I bought my car from Japan, unfortunatley during transit the stereo was removed at the Japanese port (theft). They also took the brackets that hold mount the stereo. Does anyone know where I could get these used or new? please let me know and I'll buy them. Thanks in advance
  17. Those look great. If they were like 18" that'd be perfect ^ Thanks mate! That really helps with my decission.. those look great. At the moment I am over in Canada working on contract.. so my Supra is here. The car is driven casually, about 3-4 times a week at least. During summer 6-7 times a week. So its not just a weekend car. I currently have HKS coilcovers and front strut bar. I plan on getting a better alighnment setup soon and rear strut bar. I do care about the handling performance and all that.. but at the end its mostly a street car in that case I don't think 19's would be that bad. I do like them the most at this point. But 18's wouldn't be all that bad.
  18. Those look great. Also that's very idential to my car ^ Will there really be that big of a difference with 19's though in terms of handling and so on.... ? I checked that the weight even for the 19's is still pretty good. Overall I like the style of 19". With 17 and 18" as I've experience they are great. With 19" it felt a bit sluggish but that's because they were replica wheels that were about 29/30lbs each.
  19. I've had BBS LM style reps before. I don't think it can get any worst than that. I've had this picture saved for a long time. This looks like 18's ?
  20. I may go with 18's. I just really like the look of the 19's. Got any pics handy of yours?
  21. Already got my answers. Apparantley the face of the Supra TT caliper sits 7/8mm further out. So there is about that much more clearance on the LS400 calipers. thanks though
  22. Kit is not really my style... but I do like that look. I like both rims so it's hard too choose -_-
  23. Thanks I'll check it out ^ I also have 17" Blitz rims which are pretty rare JDM wheels. But 17" rims honestly look a bit small on a Supra. I have OEM JDM kit with some front lip and TRD wing.
  24. Got a lead and a pretty good deal on 19" in these wheels from a guy. So at this point I am just trying to decide which ones. Price between the two isn't a concern since they are in the same range. Trying to decide between the TE37 and CE28. Both are black and 19x9.5 / 19x10.5 Supra is SUPER WHITE. I am thinking gloss black TE37 or polished CE28???? what do you guys think is a nicer wheel design? http://www.z33driver.com/images/EvoMR/Wheels/CE28N/CE28N_1895_face3.jpg http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/8610/te371910522gb1od3.jpg
