  1. Yep I'll get one up here soon! I'll be speaking with my local Supra mechanic today as the car is at the shop, I'll see if he recognizes it first
  2. I have considered selling them, because I can surely get some good street coilovers and not take a loss, since these ohlins are rather new and very pricey new.
  3. Yes all 4 are the same. I checked the back, pulled my front strut bar off and samething. I could possibley try taking a picture in macro mode on my camera. They are just too stiff for street purpose, very rough ride. Also wheel hop is very bad as the springs have very little flex in them.
  4. hmm well my HKS damper adjustment key I found is about 5" long allen key style. But I looked inside the top and there is a star kind of shape in there with like 10 or so little sharp edges, just a circle/star shape. So it looks like this HKS damper key has no use for this, but if the Tein adjuster key is the samething then what? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm thinking there has to be some kind of key which locks around all the edges of the star shape inside, and then it can 'twist' to adjust the dampening?
  5. Well I mean it is quite evident when the turbos are spooled up. I don't feel like they are online at all. The car could be pulling at the sameway from 2000rpm to 5500rpm lets say... but really at 4k the turbos should spool right up. I mean my boost gauge reads 0.3 bar that's probably just from the pressure running through the system but I mean when they do spool I can tell, totally different car at that point.
  6. No but this is something I will do if the turbos check out good. The turbos will be getting inspected now. and I just noticed something today, When I floor it in 1st gear, at around 4000-4200rpm there is like a sudden slight thrust and delay/loss of power for about 1 second or less. And then after that it keeps accelerating (without turbo's spooled)? -_-
  7. I'm not in the UK but my mate over here has a shop, I have access just about to any part to swap with. Ok well we spoke today, he will be putting the car up on a lift and inspecting the turbo's. That's going to be the next step. If worst case the turbos are on the way out, I will just start to prepare for a T61 setup or something. If the turbo's check out fine, I'll just put in all brand new vaccum hoses. Well anyways assuming I get everything sorted, so there is no benefit of going with the permanent TTC mod ?
  8. But I don't even know what to check for anymore. Me and my supra mechanic gone over most things. replacing the cat with decat + downpipe tested vsv's and pressure tank, they are good I checked to see if the hoses were collapsed and they were not.. boost leak has been done all over the engine all vaccum hoses have been checked over a couple times disconnecting boost controller didn't solve anything they usually will not come online in 1st and 2nd gear, but sometimes they do. and when they do they spool very smooth. something is just wrong... so at this point I don't even know.. I am thinking to just rip out all the stuff I don't need and see if it solves anything.
  9. One of the big reasons is because in the 5 months I've owned the car, it hasn't been running properly. I currently have another thread running on this issue, where the 1st and 2nd turbo wouldn't be coming online in 1st and 2nd gear most of the time, and sometime 3rd (only getting about 0.3bar). After doing TTC mod it hasn't changed. I don't like the sequential transition between 3000-4000rpm also, I find TTC just fine and more smooth delivery.. like a single turbo. The 'temporary' way is just by changing a few hoses around, which I have already done, this means I can convert back to seqential. The permanent way won't allow me to change back to sequential by me removing the VSV's and some other things. ^ I'm just trying to figure out how, or if there is any steps how to do it I'm also thinking in the sequential setup is making my turbos not work right even in TTC.
  10. I don't plan on going back to Sequential and would like to do the permanent TTC conversion. I currently just have the temporary TTC mod. I searched around and couldn't really find any instructions how to do it? is there any step by step instructions or possibley even pictures ? I already have my intake off, also I was in the process of replacing those two hoses that are above the turbo/intake. So while I'm at it I figure I'll do it all at once. I'm just not sure what I can remove exactly, and after I did remove certain things, I'm not sure what needs to be capped off or if any hoses need to be redirected to anything. But from what I've been able to find, I can completely remove the VSV's and actuators?
  11. I read this post about someone having similar issues. They said they did the TTC conversion, removed unnecessary valves, new actuators. The sequential valving is having some sort of role in what I'm experiencing possibley? thoughts?
  12. well fuck me ... New hoses and same issue is still there.
  13. Hmm well I pulled both hoses off. The one towards the front has collapsed in a little, no where as much as fripon's did. The hose towards the back was rather straight on the inside. Since they are already off and partially damaged from removing I'll be replacing them of course. I'll go try locating some hose now and hope this solves it.
  14. Thanks for the help btw, My car has 72k miles as well Hopefully that's the problem!
  15. Well I just got my car back a while ago after I got the decat and midpipe installed. I just wanted to get it back for the time being. I was by my mates shop and asked him about those two hoses, he said he didn't get a chance to check those. SO since pretty much everything else has been checked, this is making me positive that red/blue hose have collapsed on the inside causing the problem. I will pull those off soon. Does anyone know what the diamater size of those is? I will just go grap some regular intercooler couplers/hoses, I am assuming it should be around 2.5" ?
  16. I wanted to mention, would the idle control valve have anything to do with this possibley? When the car starts up, it will always die right away. On the second attempt it will stay running but it runs pretty rough for the first 2 minutes. After that it runs rather smooth. We haven't had a chance to change it yet. I removed it before and it was clean inside, cleaned it anyways but that didn't change much.
  17. Mark from Whifbitz? not yet! but this problem can vary car to car it could be many things... Well, since I don't have the restrictor ring fitted, the highest I saw on my HKS EVC 4 was 1.33 bar when I stomped the throttle in 3rd gear (the boost controller reads my current boost gauge). Roads are wet and cold so car did nothing but just slide all over the place. Boost is just spiking up too high. This issue is only in 1st and 2nd. In 2nd I will accelerate even up to 5500rpm and turbo's won't come online, I can let my foot off, let it drop down to around 4000 and on the second or 3rd attempt it can spool up in 2nd. Other times it will spool up right away. Honestly, the car is running superb.. and when the turbos spool it pulls like a monster. They can't consistently come online in 1st and 2nd gear. The boost gauge was already removed and everything plugged back to stock, this didn't solve anything. (this test was done before the decat's were done). The boost gauge was now hooked up during the double decat install. my ARC 2 row intercooler looks pretty old and dirty, I even noticed the piping has surface rust on it in some spots. My mechanic already did a boost leak test on it he said and it has no leaks. I can perhaps check it closer myself by taking the bumper off. I feel myself like there is just some kind of leak somewhere based on how the car is behaving.
  18. Wow ok so it seems like the issue is still there. We removed the whole cat, and it was melted on the inside (so this was part of the problem). The possible problem regarding the EGBV above was checked and there was no problems there.. So I insalled my 1st and 2nd decat pipe (exhaust is straight through also), so I'm running a 3" straight pipe from the turbo. With the extra power it made it a little more obvious about the current problem. In 1st gear the power is usually non evident, usually the turbos will barely spool up. In 2nd its about 40% of the time turbos are not coming online, it will be going up to 5000-6000 and nothing. Other times in 2nd it will spool up perfect. This problem is only occuring in 1st and 2nd gear. In 3rd and up it spools perfect right at 4000rpm in TTC mode. I still don't have the fuel pump, HKS FCD, restrictor ring, or wideband installed. So I'm not really sure where to check now for what is causing this, after all the stuff that has already been checked...
  19. My mechanic knows his Supra's well, and has a 800bhp one himself. Not just some random guy. He is convinced that it is the 'flap for the EGBV that's lose inside the exhaust' causing the issue. I'll know within the next day or so if this is the case.
  20. Hmm that makes sense. We will be looking into this a bit closer then
  21. We already did that and it didn't solve the issue I'm not in the UK but my mechanic should locate me a EGBV. If not I'll let you know!
  22. When I did the TTC conversion, the car wouldn't be much louder than Sequential. When I got on the car quite a bit in 3rd gear and on, after I got down to 2nd or 1st gear it was suddenly much louder. It was on and off, usually it was just as quite as sequential and other times it would be MUCH louder. It seems to me like the valve is remaining shut most of the time but opening sometimes? I guess this is the important part I haven't mentioned. I was getting a little boost around 2500-3000rpm in TTC, after 3000 none at all. Then after 4000 they would spool up (if the turbo's would come online).
  23. Just got a call from my mechanic I told him before there is this springy kind of noise after I did TTC. I didn't get the part he said exactly, but something to do with a exhaust valve or wastegate which has fallen apart on the inside and the valve is not opening up causing this issue. He will remove the full cat to get to it, and this most likely should be the issue.
  24. Yeah if I baby the pedal, and get back on I can usually get the boost start coming on. But usually not as fast as it should come on maybe around 4500-5000 range. It's mostly in 1st and 2nd gear. It seems to always spool fine at around 5000 in 3rd gear and on. Will be doing some more tests and changing vac lines with my mechanic, if I have any success I'll update this thread.
  25. They do come online quite often but many times as well they aren't spooling up. Will be doing some more boost leak testing with my mechanic and he will be replacing a bunch of the hoses. And the VSV has been checked he confirmed it is good. So VSV shouldn't be the issue here. The valve not opening up is another thing I'm trying to figure out as well
