  1. Why can’t they make up stories that encourage these things rather than deter them?
  2. Very interesting Keith, if my fan speed doesn’t increase with the engine rpm which I would need to check but I'm sure it doesn’t does it mean it needs replacing? Also if it increases with rpm how it keeps the engine cool enough when sitting in stationary traffic?
  3. Dog does look lovely, got any more pictures? I bet he/she malts loads!
  4. Despite the cars age they are still very reliable in a different league to Fiat. 20mpg is just a rough idea as I’m not sure exactly what mine works out at but if you aim around that mark it will give you a good idea. Still very good looking cars and nice to drive.
  5. You need somewhere to live anyway so it’s not like any other investment. People that are feeling the increases in the interest rate on a variable mortgage most be unbelievably stretched or have a HUGE mortgage or both.
  6. Quite a broad question but the NA is a good car, more reliable than the TT and cheaper to run. Still quite fast, although I have a manual, not very good on fuel though about 20mpg I think. £3800 should get you a good one with a big of looking.
  7. Oh dear was and probably still will see this later today!
  8. Plus fluffy bunnies are actually evil scratches and bitters.
  9. Where was that taken has to be America?
  10. Nearly 4K on wheels! They will be alright as long as you dont drive the car just look at it;)
  11. £4K! OMG I cant believe anyone would pay that. Amazing though. How can I get trained up to do what you do?
  12. No I was talking about the £140 not you:)
  13. Of course fair play to the guy for making the money isnt that what every car dealer does, buys the car, cleans it and sticks a couple of grand on the price. Its just the hiding of facts thats unfair, plus 9K for a car is still a lot of money.
  14. Nice car dealer masking all the facts there. At least Martin was honest and upfront with all the cars problems.
  15. That’s a LOT of money, even more reason to feel pleased after cleaning your own car, not only does it look good you just saved a fortune too.
  16. I bet if you email the (new) seller and ask to view it will be in Germany or something and they will be out of the country on business. You can of course pay the shipping company blah blah blah.
  17. Quite cheap. Something about that ad says fraud to me though.
  18. If you don’t buy a house then you pay rent which is money down the drain anyway. Since last June (only figures I have quick access to) the increase in interest rate has made our variable rate mortgage increase by £38 a month.
  19. Definitely good advice to get on the property ladder at least you have something then. It’s so easy to get into spiralling debt these days if you’re not careful with so many places trying to offer loans and there being so many good things to buy. Just think how good it will feel to get out of debt, lots of good advise over on moneysavingexpert.com too.
  20. Welcome to the site, lovely looking car! I like the way people stand next to their cars in the photos at the meets. You must get cars and parts at amazing value for money over there but I suppose that’s just the price you’re used to so it doesn’t seem so.
  21. 50K OMG! I can’t believe how much some people spend on their cars. I've still owe loads on my student loan. Have a mortgage but don’t really class that as debt more as a savings account. Other than that no debt but finding it hard to save anything at the moment due to the large expense of home improvements. My mortgage payment is £550 a month.
  22. That looks bad. At least your getting it sorted.
