direct your dad to johnny g's 6speed box, then give it some off the line! I had a m reg corsa with a 2.0 redtop in it, it was brilliant when it worked, surprised plenty of people
  3. Thanks for the offer mate but unfortunately i'm still on the 5 speed box
  4. i'd be happy to take you out for a spin mate in a couple of weeks, got a slipping clutch atm but it should be sorted soon
  5. whereabouts in essex are you from?
  6. If need be mate pm the turtleshead he has a good n/a lump he might be willing to sell
  7. surely if you have 30k euros you can find a way to test drive both?! you may absolutely hate the way a single supra delivers its power, you may absolutely hate the size of a gtr, its your money, buy the car you like most!! No good having a car that half the forum rave about if it doesn't push your buttons, that would be a serious waste of the money.
  8. I can collect these for you abz, and bring them down to bluewater as i work round the corner from rob if it helps?
  9. my n/a made 200hp on the dot at the austec dyno day, and when i've played with clio 182's and civic type r's its been very close, a 1.6 fiesta should be no trouble mate, is it an auto?
  10. hi there mate, as johnny g said yes you can, there's several members here who have done it and have some pretty good results with it. Do you have a N/A supra? The general consensus is that it's not worth converting a N/A to a turbo purely for financial reasons, by the time you've uprated the transmission to deal with the power and then the increased insurance you're heading towards the money for a tt auto. If you have a 6spd N/A it becomes a much better option, as the 5spd box will give up after a while at the average NA-T power level. Then if you want to push the power up you have to lower the compression either by a thicker headgasket or turbo pistons. Dr_jekyll on here would be the man to talk to if your serious about it. And have a good search, there's loads of information kicking about the place
  11. Honestly mate, if you can afford to buy chris's pads all round, do it, they really transform the J-spec brakes, i was actually shocked at the difference
  12. sorry but how fast did YOUR car run again?! oh yeah thats right...... and now its on for japshow finale! im calling your old man out for the strip!
  13. world record for stock twins is in the 10's if i remember right? your dad just isn't trying hard enough mate! edit: just found it
  14. There's a Justine Beiber?! that's even more ridiculous that my name!
  15. i used to be on 16's, come on down its a laugh mate
  16. are you really sure about that chris? bear in mind i did beat a turbo supra at santapod in my n/a........
  17. Us 'old farts' can afford supra's though chris.....
  18. we aren't being horrible mate, just trying to save you a small fortune. whats going to happen when you turn 18 and can drink legally and starting going to clubs and dancing with pretty girls?!
  19. In some cases mate patience is a virtue, and you could get a uk spec auto for 5k in a year, which will be much faster and cheaper on insurance! Plus dude a 3 litre supra as your first car is probably excessive, lad i know was given a range rover sport supercharged for passing his test, and the insurance was £16,000 a year! and guess what happened.......
  20. or you could wait a single year and have about 7k to spend on one when your 18 (assuming you save the 5k insurance), imagine the supra you could afford when you become 20 if you save the difference in insurance between a supra and a little hatchback. 5k is not worth it dude, i love my supra, but i couldn't bear to pay 400 odd a month on insurance! Then the petrol.....
