    Ebay down?

yep same here... wish I had put in a cheeky bid on that TT
  5. lol funny car tent i like it... well hopefully if I every find a god dam car I will be only driving it at weekends etc and not if its real bad dirty weather so even though it will be garaged I was thinking of getting a carcoon as I wanted one before. It might be a few weeks in between drives and I like the idea of the trickle charge so the battery will always be in good shape and wrappped in pure contaminent free air. didnt wacko jacko have that idea as well;) oh yes dirt cheap to run, about pocket change a month. I was going to get one but ended up driving the cossie most days so it would have been a hassle but on the plus side they are good for drying off a wet Supra caught in the rain if you dont like gettin it wet scotty
  6. Hi all, Does anybody out there use a Carcoon to protect their Supra?? When I had my Cossie I was tempted to get one but I ended up using it more so the carcoon didnt get bought. Hopefully if I find a Supra in the next few weeks I might carcoon it after getting it how I want it cosmetically. Just wondering if anyone else out there uses one
  7. Spotted on the way to the Blues game today, a black L plate parked behind a pub opposite RockWorld
  8. So did you find out who's it is?? I got PM'd about this car Scotty
  9. just tried as well and looks well bad, then again Jaws 3d from the same era was equally terrible My Bloody Valentine which I bought a couple of months ago was so bad it gave me a bad headache lol and that was watching it on my 44" Sammy 3D sucks really
  10. Im based South Derbyshire just off the A38 in a little village awaiting a roaring Supra to pass through!! Im not rushing but I see many cars on PH , classifieds here etc etc and I am doing my nut thinking do I travel to see that or not but after 3 years of Cosworth ownership I think a TT auto would be great but would not rule out a mint NA. If any guys on here are pretty local to me and wouldnt mind taking me for a quick spin that would be great stuff ,and to have a good look around the car, but I know we all lead busy lives etcetc. Ill even chuck in 20 quid of Optimax:D As for Jurgen, his cars he sources and his reputation speaks for itself on here and I have seen that after only being on here for a week but with my 5.5k budget his cars are out of my price range and rightly so as they are truely awesome. If anyone can help me out with a spin if your pretty local thats cool and I would really appriciate it as I guess it would help my search for my Supra. Cheers for all your comments/help guys Rob (scotty)
  11. lol haha you guys are killer I bet you got trebor for a moment there, gave me a right chuckle. Im startin to think askin for advice on my purchase my be a bad idea although I may miss the duck tape and forget the HPi phone number. Great you found your car trebor. . you gettin pics up
  12. yes according to the seller its world famous because "It's believe to have been built in Japan by the world famous Tuning House, Veilside" Ive seen alot better on the classifieds here in the last week and being built by any tuning house doesnt make the car World Famous, I think the seller meant to say the TH is world famous. Doh:think: Scotty
  13. Well I must say thats one hell of a job going on. Its going to look awesome when its all completed. And a nice set of 888's to keep the rims warm. . . great stuff cant wait to see it finished off. Scotty

lol Wheeler Dealers now thats funny Is it correct that I read that the Toyota Dealerships only sold 500 UK TT's which was mainly down to the price tag of 40k? http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/244376/
  15. I did a quote last year on a NA auto / manual and it came out at 525 I have just looked at a TT quote on a 93-97 and it came back at 540 Im 38 with full no claims , no endorsments, parked in a garage in a decent postcode. Looks like when I find a Supra in the next few weeks the insurance will be pretty sweet. Then again I only paid 350 Fully on my Cosworth but hence not an Import. Scotty
  16. How much did you get your 888's for ?? Scotty
  17. If I could find a TT auto in decentish nick I would abviously go for that as I know a manual would be at leat 7-8k ish upwards. A mint NA I guess would be easier to source but with owning a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth for 3 years up till 08 when I sold it (bad mistake) hmmm I have been told that a NA would not give me the power and grin factor that my Cossie used to bring?? So. . . . unless Im lucky to find a decent TT auto at the right time at the right price I may settle for an NA manual and from what I have seen in the classifieds here there are many a nice Supra to grace my garage. But then again I like the Aerotop so might have to have auto. Decisions decisions scotty
  18. Thanks to the replies so far, I just want to find the best I can for the money. Not rushing into a purchase but want to view ones that I think I will not be disapointed in if travelling a good distance. With it being near Christmas it might give me a better barter I did like JonathonC's Quicksilver but Scotland is to to far for a view seen this on PH that I like http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1323716.htm but there are so many options manual, auto, 5 speed , 6 speed ,aerotop Scotty
  19. yeah seen that, thats why I thought I would ask for advice before lookin to view. and why have different alloys?? hmm Scotty
  20. Yeah I asked about the wheels as there are different front to rear!!! strange. A cheeky offer lol, my thoughts exactly. It looks pretty much standard but I have mailed the seller for more info:d Scotty
  21. Hi guys, As per my opening noob post I have roughly 5 - 5.5k to spend and have been looking for a while. Seen a 97 sz-r 6 speed manual and wondered if anybody knows this car as it is quite local to me and I may go have a look. It is below my budget but thats ok as I can spend some on some nice bits http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1360163.htm I have asked for interior shots etc and other info as the ad on pistonheads did not go into great detail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Scotty
  22. When I said I was looking to buy in the next two weeks what I meant was that is when all my funds will be available. I am not in a rush to buy but want to find the right one for my cash. During the last two months or so after deciding its a Supra I want I have looked at many many ads. It would be nice to get one before Christmas but I suppose it depends on whats around and what I see to be a good purchase ScoTTy
  23. Yeah thats looks good but not a fan of Chrome rims and Lambo doors and a bit too much of a show car for me.. a great lookin show car anyway. Not yours by any chance Scotty
  24. Only my 2nd post on the forums but after looking for a Jap car for the last 3 to 4 months I have heard many a bad thing about WRC car sales in Bradford and I think If I am not mistaken that they are the same as Keighley Sports And Trade Centre... I was thinking of looking at Keighley/WRC but after reading some forum posts on various club sites I decided against it. I have seen favourable posts regarding these two but alot had many many negative comments . . so be cautious Scotty
  25. Hi all, Im Rob from Derbyshire and just joined the club here I am in the next two weeks on the hunt for a new car. This will be a weekend car/garaged and something I can pamper and take to meets and shows etc. I have in the past had Ford's, RS Turbos and a mint RWD RS Cosworth. I sold my Cossie 2 years ago now I have a bit of money coming I was tempted to return to the YB power lump! I have decided not to go back to a cossie as Ive been there and done that and want to go Jap this time. Over the last few months I have been looking into getting Supra, Skyline R33, Subaru WRX/STI, or an Evo. After much thinking and pondering I have decided the Supra it is So I join the forums and Im looking for some advice from the Supra forum I have about 5.5k to spend but I could go to about 6k if really pushed. I have looked at some of the for sales on here and there are some nice looking Supra's and I have also looked on pistonheads daily for the last few weeks and missed out on a Black 93 plate auto TT with 88k on the clock and was pretty mint. It was up for 6250 but he said he would take 5800. Anyway any advice on what I should be looking for for this kind of money (5.5-6k) please let me know as your the experts on all things Supra's. I would pref manual and an dont mind an aerotop and would consider an auto TT. any advise would be greatly apriciated. I have seen on the selling forum that manual n/a go for around 3.5 - 4k ? is this the right sort of price?? What are your thoughts on this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1305010.htm Your thoughts, recommendations and advice for my potential Supra purchase would be greatly recieved. Many thanks Scotty
