  1. I'm interested in taking the others if Kaahari wishes to split. Need to know price though
  2. I have tried the stock bov (obviously) a forge motorsport racing BOV, Bailey and HKS SSQV and honestly my favourite was the SSQV!
  3. My little girl stuck mine in the bottom draw of our freezer! Took two days before i found them and all i went in there for was some bread!
  4. Can anyone help me - I want a gear surround for a manual gearbox. I have never seen anything like this advertised - I replaced the gaitor around my gearstick and subsequently broker the plastic O that holds the gaitor in place. I wondered if anyone new where a new one could be found. Or even a chromed one (similar to the chrome rings that go round the dash dials)
  5. V.Impressive - Having put my figures in, as you correctly pointed out, there was very little difference in speed!
  6. thanks Nic, thats useful info...I'm off to measure the diameter of my wheels now
  7. Hmmm, it would appear that i have a similar problem then! I've been driving my TT on 19inch wheels and just assumed the difference would be that....i'll keep an eye on this thread from now on then
  8. What size wheels do you have on the car?
  9. Hi Y'all - hoping for some advice. I have got a Mercedes A-Class 1.4 in black - 1999. It has done 85k miles and is generally a good, tidy car. The tax and MOT are going to be due in May and its got some service history. Its problems: The belt tensioner pulley flew off not too long ago and ever since it has been sitting there doing nothing. Those of you familier with these engines will know that mercedes clerverly built the engine so the only way you can get a new pully on is to drop the engine out because it hides away behind the drivers side wheel. The fan belt however is fine. So to get it fixed will cost the best part of £300 labour (Mercedes Garage Quote) It has (bizarrely) attracted a nail through one of the tyres (spare tyre is available) And the electric sunroof tries to work but doesn't - it opens about an inch before grinding to a halt. Selling options: Repair and try and make as much money back as possible (paid £2k for it about a year ago) Try and sell it in its current state - if so how much do i ask for it? By some miracle - anyone out there who might be interested in taking it off my hands? If so i'll obviously get some more details up here for it. Frankly I just want shot of it but am reluctant to let it go for scrap.

  11. Ok...will consider any offer, sensible or not!
  12. FORGE MOTORSPORT DUMP VALVE + FILTER Example of it: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORGE-MOTORSPORT-MITSUBISHI-GTO-DUMP-VALVE-FILTER-/260717902385?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cb3ff7a31 Am open to offers, i bought this about a month ago, fitted it but honestly wasnt a fan of its noise. Have now purchased a HKS SSQV instead. Was hoping for my money back but will consider any (sensible) offers.

Why does a j-spec not need a boost controller?
  14. hi y'all, the other half has a ummm lovely mercedes a-class. Im pretty sure the serpentine belt snapped this evening...whilst driving it we heard a clunk, the power steering went completely and the battery light came on. I nursed it home but the steering was incredibly tough. Can anyone locate the whereabouts of the belt so i can whip it apart and put a new one on...ive just done the same on the supra and believe it or not but the engine bay being sooo much bigger makes it much easier to bloody find everything!!
  15. thanks everyone - some really useful info for me!
  16. well done matey - ive been monitoring this since last posting and am really impressed. it looks better than mine did so give yourself a pat on the back
  17. Hi All, The outer ring has started to come away from my crank shaft pulley - is there any form of repair that can be carried out or am i looking at replacing it....if so does anyone have one available, im in hertfordshire and would welcome anyone local that can help!
  18. It was good - and looked really nice and turned a lot of heads...presumebly for the right reasons, however after a week it got ridiculously dirty and it is very hard to keep clean...specially if you end up with bird crap on it - strangely the birds seemed drawn to my fresh paint job!
  19. I'm on your side mate - tried something similar with mine but have to tell you that i got annoyed with it and am currently and painstakingly taking all the paint off!! i hope yours turns out beter than mine did! good luck.
  20. your telling me! this is an arseache! i'm taking off the shielding on the bov so i can get a better angle on the c-clip....who'd have thought it would be such effort to get the thing on!
