  1. "why does everyone hate veilside?" (the list goes on.....and on...............and on - bit like the shuttle launch we are still waiting for atm)
  2. +1 for a fan shroud....just incase there is more than one floating around up there!
  3. I admit - i glazed over the full details...by this point in the OP I was already thinking about the generally good things the sup has to offer lol - gold star to Scott M
  4. Apologies - I haven't. Being unaware of the process for these things, I didnt realise I would need to at this stage but appreciate that naivity is no excuse. I will naturally want to go down the correct route.
  5. After trawling the likes of Ebay for god knows how long for some dial surrounds for my car, it became blindingly apparent that the only ones available are chrome (unless someone can point me in the right direction) Now this poses a problem for me as the rest of my 'surrounds' on my dash are brushed metal and I really wanted all of them to match - I have now found someone who has said he can produce some brushed metal ones for me and I have therefore asked him if he might be able to produce them on a larger scale at a reasonble cost. This leads on to seeing if there is anyone else out there that would be interested in such a product - i'm just not a fan of chrome really. This is in very early stages of development and I'm just after an idea of numbers at this stage...would this be of interest to anyone?
  6. How much do you want to spend? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Starlet-Glanza-Tm-Developements-Boost-Controller-/220809742757?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item33694949a5
  7. I have painstakingly removed all of my veilside kit and replaced it with stock (with front bumper lip) and much prefer it....saying that if i was ten years younger the veilside kit would have been exactly what I wanted as a young 20-something - although I would have probably written the car off back then too! Why do I think the sup is so good: reliability - to date I havent come across another car that doesnt have some form a cataclismic error that occurs at some stage in its life and thank you Toyota for putting togther such a good engine, for a car of its age, its nice to know where i stand with it and feal confident it'll just keep going. Tunability - where else could you get a car up to 400bhp without really going to work on the internals and spending a fortune. Spend a bit more and you are talking some serious power - way more than you could get from any other car for the same money Stylability (if thats a word) - So many different styles and combinations for how a supra looks and the vast majority I genuinely like the look of....if you look over other manufacturers, generally they all look similar with very few variations available to them to make them look individual to the driver. Rear wheel drive with twin tubbies - recipe for fun all day long lol
  8. Haha - this is a milestone to be proud of - well done JM and all that have worked on it!!
  9. and i've got a second decat pipe if thats the bit you are after
  10. time to purchase a HKS SSQV.....do it! well worth the money!
  11. Haha - good man! Have you got a boost gauge? if so what is it reading? I should point out that the HKS & Blitz BOV seemed to help in the running of my car - the others I tried just didnt seem to feel quite right (and sounded cr4p) I suspected this was linked to the vacuum hose leading off the BOV...any leaks in the hoses can cause untold little errors in the performance of the turbo's and its sooo frustrating...I went about 3 weeks changing and messing with the hoses until my turbo's worked as they should and now I love it! I noticed the difference when I stuck my FMIC on....You will DEFINATELY notice the difference going BPU - if you havent then something is definately wrong and if your BOV is flapping in the wind (so to speak) then i'd definately start with that.
  12. I've got a stock one you can have if you want yours sounds knackered to me bud! I have been through my fair share of BOV's, I have used a Bailey, Forge, HKS SSQV and currently have Blitz Super sound....the HKS SSQV was my favourite as I'm sure plenty of others will agree but my blitz one is a close second.
  13. +1 I did mine recently and just for getting the old oil filter off (ended up putting a screwdriver through it - yes that old cheshnut!) it would be worth the £20 for a garage to do it for you. It is really easy to do but its even easier for someone else to do lol
  14. Does anyone have a drivers side plastic headlight lying around anywhere - frankly it can be in terrible condition, the worse and cheaper the better. I want to have a go at sticking an air intake through the headlight! Cheers
  15. I've got one coming off in the next few days if you still need one - its in good condition with the exception of a 1cm split whichis barely noticeably...let me know if you still need one
  16. wow, this has come on leaps and bounds since those early shots before the respray - it looks incredible mate - really takes it to another level!
  17. Just checked his garage pics and that certainly was the one! the sticker gives it away lol
  18. I was stuck in the stand still traffic going south bound as you roared past at the early hours of the morning around junction 12...car sounded lovely as you flew past
  19. Errr wtf - thats mad! good work! Definately needs to see/hear a video of this one! well done pal!
  20. I reckon those rear wheels would look great if they were a bit wider and flush with the arches! nice choice of kit though and good for you on the paint job
  21. i've got a whole stock spoiler with rubber lip - it does have a small split in it but you can't tell once its bolted onto the bumper - let me know if its of interest to you pal
