    O2 Orbit

Copilot displays the speed for me but it's the ETA I can't get to display correctly, it seems to be calculated as if I only do 1mph!
  2. It seemed like a good do, we waved at a few people we know but as we had no Supe we parked off the main field and snuck away quietly
  3. Like JB, we *never* felt the benefit from RLTC that others raved about & felt it must be good on BPU but not so good on bigger upgrades. I suspect our late 94 UK TT Auto with big twins, that has 'lost it' at least 4 times with RLTC on, needs this setting to be changed It's going to be a little while before we know though!
  4. Good luck to all, & well done to Envy for getting there in the end! We wish we were there (but are currently doing a VAT return that needs to be in the 12 noon post tomorrow!).
  5. Holly the threadkiller strikes again... We just wanted to say thanks very much to Chris Mann, who has very kindly & unexpectedly refunded us for our entry, it sounds like it's going to be bigger & better this year. Best of luck to all those competing and all things being well we'll be back next year.
  6. Hey,we've been removed from the list!
  7. Well finally we succumb to the pre-TOTB problems; 2.5mm fore/aft movement in the crank points to a thrust bearing problem. Rebuild here we come...
  8. We're really sorry to hear this terribly sad news. Our thoughts are with his family & friends. Christian & Jenny.
  9. We'll have to agree to disagree then. My experience is 550+hp for 20k miles & still had smooth quick gearchanges. It's sitting in my back garden now in case the upgraded one goes.
  10. I disagree, the stock box will run plenty of BHP. 700 may be on the high side but why not suck it & see? What's your current auto box worth? Yeah, not very much, so why spend good money replacing it when you don't need to. If you've got the money left after you have 700hp then upgrade the box. On the other hand, as soon as you start upping the power you MUST get a hi-stall torque converter to make the most of the new power levels.
  11. The cheapest way to make the standard box hold more power is to do nothing. Why do you ask?
  12. Posted form+payment this morning.
  13. What about Visual Web Developer Express 2005? http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vwd/download/
  14. Stock, but the new one is fully encased in rubber whereas the old one wasn't.
  15. After ~30k miles mostly at 1.4bar, we found a weak point in the rear crank seal. We've fixed that & now found the next weak point; the front one :-(
  16. We got a Telewest TVDrive (which is an HD capable cable box plus 80gb recorder) and they have some BBC programmes available to view in HD, mostly nature; Blue Planet, How to Build a Human Being etc. Apparently some movies are in HD on Sky Movies 9/10 but we've not subscribed. The quality of the BBC stuff is really good, when watching you think 'yes, it's pretty good' then switch back to normal digital and think 'actually it was bl**dy amazing'. The best thing is, we pay the same as we used to & didn't even have to pay an installation fee!
  17. The engine bay looks better but it gets hot really quickly when they don't work.
  18. I have a Sound Performance Gen-II tranny (if I remember right), not the most expensive, basically an upgraded standard box. Hand on heart I can only say I got a .05 second improvement after fitting the box, maybe something else changed, maybe it was the weather (and continues to be!). The old box already changed sweetly, smoothly and quickly, the new one is much the same but if I switch the switch that increases the line pressure, it gives more of a clunk. Listen to the change of an auto Supra with a stock box; it really is quick. They probably are but it is not really reflected in my times. I had not used them before getting the new tranny. They reduced my time by .5 seconds. (BFG) I may be wrong but I think whoever you get it from you'll end up with a PI one (in pink! OK, lilac, lavender or some colour like that). Mine (actually my wife's) is a UK spec so already has a cooler, but we are thinking of changing to the Fluidyne plus a fan. If buying a TC or box again I'd probably use Vortex. They were just starting up when I ordered mine directly from the US. They're such helpful guys.
  19. (& when I say 20k miles it was over 50k on the clock but at least 20k on the big twins.)
  20. Save your money and just plan for what to do when your stock box breaks, if it ever does. Ours was still going strong after 20kmiles, 3 TOTBs, 2 TSCs, various track days & 5+years @500+hp. Switching to an uprated box (although not to the levels you are thinking of) did not give us a magic improvement, the best ever mod we did was the hi-stall tc. It was probably one of the cheapest too.
  21. Brilliant day, thanks to Ken for setiing it up. Also, thanks to Envy & Ian C for giving me a bye to win the drag shootout
  22. Ken please empty your PM box (& pm me when done!).
