  1. How about The Plough at Bletchingley again? Big car park and good food.
  2. Thanks chaps, it stays on for the moment at least! Just leaving now, have safe journeys wherever you're going this weekend.
  3. Due to having an FMIC, my active spoiler is fixed in the down position. The question; If I were to remove it, could it have any beneficial or detrimental effects at TOTB?
  4. We'll be off in the morning then - see you all there. For those that don't know me I'm the tall bloke with the big nose (but not as tall as Ian, can't remember how big his nose is tho' ). Gaz - will you be sorting us out a decent area in the pits?
  5. Yep - should be there
  6. I may have some of that (if my MOT's sorted by then).
  7. Hey -- if the food's provided it's excellent value for money
  8. Just because your car came with funny sizes (?) it doesn't necessarily mean you have to replace them with the same. If you want to keep the rims you need to decide; 1. what width tyes fit your rims e.g. how wide are the rims 2. what width tyres you really want for cosmetic/your own reasons (245 on the front is a bit wide isn't it?) Having decided on the width you need to choose a profile so the diameter is either similar to your current diameter or is similar to stock sizes so it fits in the arch OK. So now you have a width and profile, you can just ring around and if you still have funny sizes then ask what is similar but 'normal'. (By my calculations, moving from 275/35 to 275/40 will take you about 13-14mm closer to the arch all round, maybe a bit more taking tyre wear into account.)
  9. From my experience at 10 of the Best, I think I can say the following is a pretty accurate account of what happens (UK spec auto); With the TRAC fuse in, you keep accelerating until the ECU thinks that the combination of revs and gear are giving more than a TRUE 155mph, then it activates the TRAC butterfly (bad boy!). At TOTB, I got up to about 182 on the clock, but the best official timing was 157 or 158. I think one of the other Supras at the Nissan 200 TOTB2 can also substantiate this.
  10. My Optima still goes flat - if it's been 2 weeks I take the jump leads to the garage, just in case. 3 weeks? No point going without them.
  11. wesmi01 - 600bhp has been suggested. Ian - things have quietened down at work so I can do this kind of thing now - for the moment at least! Terry - thanks, but technically it's my wife's car :-( I'm allowed to share it :-) Hey - I can do this can't I -> How about this - big nose smiley :?)
  12. It was only 187mph actually, doing about 7050 revs according to the main rev counter. Got 185 on the 1.25 mile run and as Alex said, for the final run they gave us an extra bit of crap runway with trees growing out of it etc., I'm not complaining though. I was prolly doing 60-80 mph across the original start line for the 187mph run.
  13. It's not the LSD causing a tyre to skip is it (because one is travelling much further than the other)? Mine does that on full lock going forwards.
