  1. First thing from me is obviously a massive thanks to you all for your help after my little incident. The main reason I love this club is because of the members which was proved over the weekend what a strong group we have and couldn't be more appreciative of all your help. An update on the car... It drove totally fine home on Sunday so signs are good mechanically and pretty sure its just cosmetic at this stage. Onto the actual trip thankyou to all who organised as it, was such a fun weekend and put together so well, the boat trip was such a laugh, the roads and views were amazing and as Gordy was the only member on the trip that I had met before it was great to put faces to forum names for all the rest of you. I shall be back next year for sure
  2. I was originally bringing a photographer so had no need for much kit which means my photography equipment is now just an iPhone 5S
  3. Yeah kind of planning abit of both, after its finished will have it on the road a little bit to enjoy it for a while (maybe a year) and also to check that everything is good and reliable and then sell it on after In no rush to complete it though I got a few bits I want to do to my other Supra over winter aswell which would take priority but hopefully still get chance to finish this before the end of winter if possible hahaha yeah it is a size, to big though so it will be going
  4. yeah definitely mate I always like to learn and have a project so couldn't grumble for the price in all fairness engine and gearbox seem great, fires up straight away and runs really smooth, just a lack of fluid a few mins after starting isnt the best
  5. Thanks mate that turbo will be taken off though and replaced with a smaller one as il leave the stock auto box in so this turbo would take a lifetime to spool for the amount of power id be aiming to get out of it, will be aiming for around the 550bhp just so its a nice reliable small single build
  6. Yesterday iv been a got myself another Supra will be my 7th Supra now (only my 5th MKIV) This Supra however is abit of a dog so doing my bit and planning to bring her up to scratch and give her the life that she deserves... I have seen the following 2 threads on this car which slate its condition and are true that it does need ALOT of work however im happy to do this the threads are here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?336020-Found-this-Auto-supra-on-ebay&highlight=ebay+single http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?334661-Found-a-supra! First problem being the oil leak.... In all fairness they claimed that it was coming from the front crank seal and having the same problem on my Supra not long ago all the symptoms were the same and was only a very small trickle leaking while running. Chances are the pump has gone to cause this. Second problem being the power steering fluid leak... This seemed to be coming from the steering rack, will need replacing. Third problem the half complete conversion... well tbf its not even half done, still running standard TT auto ECU, does have a front mount but is tiny so will need uprating for single setup and still standard injectors etc... Potentially return this to stock TT but will hopefully complete the conversion and do it properly so its running right, will still be using the stock auto box so wont be going for huge power just a small single set up probably. Fourth problem the colour... I have to admit from looking at pictures I had accounted for a full respray and this quite probably will be the case but the colour is actaully so much better in person than in pics, the bodywork does require tiding though, rust wise it was actually great and couldn't find any anywhere but are alot of scratches around it and has a crack in the front bumper too. There are alot of other issues too which I will list in detail when it comes to the build thread but all are sortable to bring this car back to life. After topping up the oil because of the leak and starting it up it actually fired up straight away and run really sweet. This will be a longer project and in no rush to get in finished so would hope to get most if not all done over the winter but im to no timescale so will be taken all along the time it needs and hopefully bring her to a condition where she can enjoy the rest of her life When I get round to starting the project I will do a full build thread to keep the updates coming Lastly although this is a dog its pretty cool to say atm that I own 2 single turbo'd Supra's haha Anyway dont pay to much attention to these but here's a few pics...
  7. yep just the panel around the ignition and the panel with the heater controls are different on the UK spec, the rest are all interchangeable
  8. hahaha sounds like a plan hope all goes smooth and well bud only thing I got left in preparation for this now is to fit the new wiper blades I picked up last night but pretty sure I can do that with minimal risk to the car
  9. Not sure if im allowed to recommend or not as not sure on the whole traders on the forum rules so sorry to admin if so but Dim Sum on here does carbon dipping... I had my top dash piece done by him and was impressed with the result. He's not local to you as he wasn't to me but can post items both ways, drop him a pm if interested here's a link to his profile: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?27390-Dim-Sum
  10. Speaking of drinks... are we to bring a few cans ourself as I see on the itinerary BBQ & drinks etc or are there bars where we are both evening?
  11. Hi Jenks nice to see another Supra coming over this neck of the woods get some pics up when you pick it up but as Annabella mentioned the range of guestimates would be quite large without more details and pics Enjoy your Supra bet you cant wait to pick it up.
  12. Go with 18's the best all round compromise of performance/looks imo I may have had to stop myself from doing this a few times... the temptation is there
  13. Definitely interested in certain panels... in for prices etc... Should put a jap spec dash in a UK spec Supra like me and you'd be fine
  14. haha she was at the time bud, dread to think how much time in 9 hour journeys and how money in fuel i used though
  15. Welcome sounds nice mate put some pics up when you get chance
  16. I used to set off at about 11pm/midnight both ways to get the majority of the journey done during the night. Last thing you want on a 535 mile journey is to sit in traffic lol
  17. I used to travel 535 miles (9 hours) each way from Hereford to Macduff (about an hour above Aberdeen) quite regular... admittedly I only done it in the Supra once though the rest was in my Lancer and my Civic (cheap dailys lol)
  18. Thanks guys yeah that was turned off (must of gone off with the update somehow) so iv just turned it back on think I thought it was mainly to do with the wifi as the wifi symbol always disappeared when the screen was locked because it would take a few seconds to search for wifi again when I unlocked it but guessing thats because wifi would of not been working in the background with that setting turned off too maybe. Turned it on now anyway so will hopefully be fine thanks again guys
  19. Yeah its all wifi in general rather than just one application. Like any facebook messages or whatsapp messages will all come in together when I unlock my screen as the wifi reconnects and then sent time is always a time before then. Might just be something wrong with my phone its a iPhone 5S so is nearly 3 year old but just wanted to ask incase there was a setting that disabled wifi while screen was locked somewhere that may have been changed during the update.
  20. Where I live atm I dont get hardly any phone signal and mobile internet signal (gprs at best) but has never been a problem as im connected to the wifi, however about 3 weeks ago my iPhone said there was an update to do which I did and since that my phone only connects to the wifi at home when the screen is unlocked... as I unlock the screen I always see either no service or GPRS at the top then about 5 seconds later when it reconnects to the wifi and I then get the wifi symbol. has anyone else had the same problem or is there a setting for this that may have changed during the update that I can change back? Just gets a little annoying as I either have to leave my screen unlocked all the time with no time out or I miss messages and any internet sourced alerts. Thanks in advance
  21. Hi im from UK but I have cousins over in Bradford Ontario, been over quite a few times and love it put some pics of your supra up when you get chance
  22. Cheers mate yours looked sweet too haha yeah don't see many around this area, no meets planned in Wales anytime soon?
