  1. HA HA HA that's cute Jazz!!! im guessing in 2004 you were still in the lab at AREA-51, at which point I was running these Rims........WORD!
  2. Thanks you guys , its certainly not going to be a happy sale, but to be honest in my years of ownership the needle has only moved from 39,000 when I bought her, to her current resting mileage of 59,000ish, Oil and fluids have been changed 7 times, in that time . I must admit that the financial net is something that I have been thinking about more and more. Abz as for the other cars, I will be keeping one Supra out of the fleet, and hopefully the focus will all be on that one. Little Pic in case anyone doesn't know her
  3. Just wondering if there is any demand out there for someone looking specifically for a BPU Auto-TT? I am thinking about the possibility of letting my Black Facelift Auto-BPU Supra for sale (non VVTi), but I want to know if there is any point in selling/is there demand, I have a lot of nice parts on this Supra. This Supra is and has been my Pride and Joy since early 2000's and after nearly a decade of ownership I have slowly upgraded her with parts which I feel are in line with "future proofing", by this I mean that if I were to upgrade to a more serious level of tune (Single Turbo) then parts such as Exhaust and Intake Mods would be usable. I am only considering this move due to a home deposit, this sale will not be the decider between making my target amount or not, but it would act as more of a financial cushion on which Me and my Wife could depend on if things were difficult. For this reason and the reason that I love this car and do not really want to let it go, I am looking to see whether there are any real buyers out there who would be able to afford a well spec'd Auto TT, not as a second option to a Manual, but for the fact that they want a Auto BPU! I will refrain from putting a spec up for now, as this thread is just to find out the market and whether I should bother making this vehicle available, all thoughts are welcome.
  4. I think Mr Purple is going to be cross lol, he just bought the same set in the same finish . Nice wheels J
  5. Hi Clay, thank you very much for the present, really can't thank you enough, I'm slightly weirded out that you knew I was looking for a set of the Cam cover bolts but appreciate the gesture. I'm sure more members would appreciate your works massive array of fasteners and bolts, you have saved me a serious head ache looking for the bolts I needed, that's for sure Thanks

    TT Engine Demand?

Good posting Marc, very true, I have heard a lot of people having snags converting to a VVTi lump. I would agree that going single and not having to worry about the DBW System is a bonus, but with developments with the SYVECS ECU's etc seems to be remedying some of the issue with this system. I think of it as a challenge . Nice to hear different approaches

    TT Engine Demand?

All great point guys, keep them coming. I think the issue with getting rid of the other parts once the engine is out, is that most people "mind price" the value of the excess parts, where as the reality of the matter is that a lot of parts, interior etc start being reduced because they are taking so long to clear, frustration comes for free. Surely there could be an argument, that building a TT engine (although time consuming to source parts) from spares in the wanted section could be a plausible option?

    TT Engine Demand?

I think this might be the fact that the NA owners are experimenting more with the GE engines, historically the natural upgrade was a TT conversion. Rich we're you selling a long block or a complete engine conversion (with Turbos)
  9. Hi people, Just wondering as I may be down sizing my person collection of Supra parts, what is the general demand for TT Enigine conversions these days. I know the NA lads are doing a lot of credible NA/T work these days, and the Drift lads seem to be using out engines in many different applications also. I'm guessing that NA/T route is not suited to everyone, so for that reason I'm guessing these owners would prefer a GTE lump. Would you guys say that VVTi lumps are less desirable than Non-VVTi? Or more?
  10. That looks like a fantastic example buddy, JM sourced enough said

Remind me to remove my brace next time I come for a service Chris

    strut brace!!!

I think they were only ever manufactured in the Greene sort of colour, you could always add to the longevity of the bar by powder coating it whichever colour you desire, as you stated. There are chrome versions knocking about and MVP stock a full titanium version for those of us who want that "race car" look and price
  13. I'm really considering the trip down as I have not been to a major meet in the south since the MKIVSTORE/Lucifer days lmao. James we could split the driving bud?
  14. Ohhhhhh bling, it's not something round and brass that comes as a pair, you know exactly like the things Abz just lost
  15. I hear you buddy, it's certainly going to be a good turn out, you wanna buddy up in my car perhaps?
  16. Clay, brilliant effort buddy, we had Abz on a roller coaster of emotions (I might be overselling this part). I live this madhouse sometimes :d:d Don't worry Abz, the wheel is yours when I make my mind up which one I'm keeping
  17. See, the thing is Abz, Me and Mr Clay have been playing a little game with you called the "wheel of fortune", whilst you thought Clay and I were "wheeling and dealing", we were actually seeing how far we could steer your judgement, to believe that Clay was somehow now ahead of you in the race to secure the Wheel. Basically me and Clay Punked you, and I'm glad to say that you fell for it, hook, line and.................:D:D
  18. Sounds like the time my MINES ECU blew a fuse
  19. Ibrar @ Speedwells in the Trader section is the "Daddy of the Mac Daddy" of wheel refurbishments (exceedingly good), perhaps call him for a quote Im sure he does a collection and delivery service.
  20. You might laugh, but I used a walking stick rubber attachment, fits like a glove without the "race car" price. 32p
  21. before I can confirm anything, I need to check with Abz that he definitely does not want these, like you told me bud.
